Hopefully Bespin Escape Leia too. We haven't gotten that costume represented in Lego before and including her here leaves the door open for an updated Bespin Gown Leia in another Cloud City-themed set.
-
There may be a couple more sets that are exclusive to stores like Toys R Us. Usually the initial rumour list leaves out the retailer exclusives.
-
Yes Beru would be great. Never understood why she was left out of the last Sandcrawler.
-
There was a leaked factory pic of 2-1B earlier in the year identical to the one in 2011's Echo Base. He didn't appear in the Battle of Hoth video though and there was no sign of the medical bay either so who knows if he'll be included or not.

Microfighters Disapointed most of the Microfighters are based on Rebels, although cheap Wookies are never a bad thing. I'd prefer the TIE Advanced Prototype came with the Inquisitor over a TIE Pilot. Battlefront Battlepacks Might pick up one, but beyond that depends on whats included. Would be nice to get some classic OT-era Stormtroopers. Hoth Attack I wonder if this could be the Wampa Cave and Snowspeeder in the Battle of Hoth video, much like the original 8089 release? I actually wouldn't mind that if it means the Echo Base set focuses on the actual base itself. Hopefully the set will help fill out any missing characters from Echo Base. Bespin Carbon Freezing Chamber FINALLY something related to Cloud City! Hopefully Lego will be taking the Jabba's Palace approach and leave room in the set's design for possible expansions for the rest of Cloud City. Hopefully we'll get the latest versions of Boba Fett and Vader, a new Lando with Finn's hairpiece, Bespin Luke, an Ugnaught and finally... Bespin Escape Leia! Droid Escape Pod Not all that exciting, but hopefully it will contain a definitive C-3PO with leg printing as well as more Sandtroopers. Obi-Wan's Jedi Interceptor I don't mind getting another fighter. I'm guessing Obi-Wan's face will be modified to include the pilot headgear, but I hope its still consistant with the previous minifigure in the General Grievous Chase set. I'm also hoping this will be the blue fighter seen on Utapau - so we can finally get an updated R4-G9 along with Commander Cody and Tion Meddon. Overall looks like its shaping up to be a nice wave. Shame there's still no Bounty Hunter Pursuit remake though.

Glad to see Frodo is in the game, although I'm surprised there's been nothing of Aragorn yet. Still I do hope we see a few new LOTR characters like Eowyn and Faramir. I'll be annoyed if they get shafted again in favour for Arwen or Haldir.

Frodo confirmed for Dimensions in the latest trailer.

The TIE Bomber and Interceptor are overdue for updates too, especially now that they've perfected the TIE design with the Inquisitor's fighter. I'd love to see all the OT TIE variants redone in that style. I'm still holding out for an updated Bounty Hunter Pursuit set. We're going to be seeing a lot less prequel sets over the coming years, but I still hope we can at least see this one squeezed into the lineup somewhere next year even if its a retailer exclusive. And of course... Cloud City and the Cloud Car. I still think they should be two seperate releases to cover the maximum number of characters (including both versions of Leia) but the upcoming release of Echo Base might put this one on hold for a couple years. There should definitely be a bigger focus on location-based sets though. Yavin IV, Theed Palace, Geonosian Arena, Dagobah... there's so much potential there.

I'm positive the figure in the video isn't Leia. She should have a light coloured vest, white gloves and the braided hairpiece seen on previous Hoth/Endor figures. Lego got it right with the 2011 minifigure - the only changes that needed to be made would have been using the Shuttle Tyderium face and possible leg printing. The figure in the video has a darker coloured vest, no gloves and a simpler hairstyle in reddish brown - just like Toryn Farr. The only inaccuracy is the closed vest which should be open for both characters. Here's the action figures for comparison:
-
I get the feeling the selection of minifigures won't be as big as the Ewok Village if we're getting both the Tauntaun and Wampa with it. Judging by the video and comparing what we got in the Ewok Village set I think we're likely to see: Hoth Luke Hoth Han Major Derlin Toryn Farr Wes Janson R2-A3 K-3PO x2 Hoth Rebel Troopers x2 Hoth Rebel Officers x2 Snowtroopers That would be four minifigures short of the village. It would be a shame if they couldn't fill those slots with Leia, Rieekan, 2-1B and Bacta Tank Luke, but their absense in the video clip leaves me the impression they won't be included. I don't mind turrets and trenches since they are a part of the base. Its things like the Snowspeeder and Wampa cave I'd rather be left out in favour for a complete Echo Base. But based on what we see in the video, the control room looks like a bit of an afterthought and the medical bay is completely absent.
-
I'm not too excited for potential Star Wars content in Dimensions. I'd imagine the minifigure packs would just be main characters and generic troops that are already available in other sets. They might be able to grab my interest if they can squeeze in a new costume variant like Bespin Escape Leia or a Theed Battle/Droid Factory Padme. Or a Clone Wars character without the anime look.
-
I noticed that too. I think its a nice feature that doesn't take away from the appearance of the build. It also looks like the cone pieces used for the Falcon's cockpit are slightly longer than the ones used on the 2011 version and the minifigures are sitting a bit further forward. Maybe the new Chewbacca might be able to fit in the new one after all?
-
Even if its not technically part of the UCS, its still a Lego exclusive high end playset along the lines of the Death Star and Ewok Village. Based on whats seen in the video, the set does feel a little underwelming and incomplete. Its not quite the "definitive" Echo Base set it should be. I think what would improve it for me is if the base itself was a little more substantial. Keep the main gate as the centerpiece, but expand the control center to also include the infirmary and bacta tank. The other side could include the Tauntaun pens and some power functions to operate the main gate. Think the 2011 Echo Base split in half with the main gate in the middle.

Because its supposed to be the next Shop@Home exclusive. Sets sold directly through Lego VERY rarely ever get leaked pictures. Its only the ones that are part of the regular retail wave or are exclusive to stores like Toys R Us and Target. There is a nice animated video on Lego's website that gives a nice preview of what to expect. You can watch it here (titled Battle of Hoth) http://www.lego.com/...starwars/movies

Part of me hopes that if we do get a new TIE Advanced set next year it is based off the OT rather than Rebels, if only so it can come with updated versions of Grand Moff Tarkin and Classic Leia. Really felt like a missed opportunity not including both in the last Star Destroyer.

Qui-Gon looks awesome! They've really perfected the likeness with that new face print. I think the smirk side actually suits him. Still not a fan of Darth Maul's new face though. The smile is out of character and the inaccurate tattoos bug me, especially when all the previous Darth Maul minifigures from the past 16 years have had the correct look. The new torso design and leg printing look great though. The "pinched hips" look that we usually see on female characters actually works quite well here. I'm really impressed with the final result of the Infiltrator itself. The prelim pics looked like a jumbled mess of random slope pieces and mismatched colours, but here everything looks much more sleeker and uniformed in colour. The underside also looks much tidier than the 2011 version and I love the detail of the cockpit. Will definitely be picking this up when it hits stores. Hopefully Lego will use the basis of this build for a Naboo Royal Starship in the future. Also on the topic of Phasma - has anyone noticed she has her black undersuit printed on the legs like the Imperial Inspection Stormtroopers from 2005? Hopefully this means the regular troops (both TFA and future OT Stormtroopers) will start printing the black suit instead of using the ugly black crotch piece.

Sauron would be nice but I can live without him. And I never cared for Bolg much. He was pretty much an Azog clone minus any personality. The only ones I truely want are Eowyn, Witch-King and Faramir - and they don't even need a third wave of sets for that. They can easily be released through Dimensions. Really... a Boromir/Faramir teampack would be perfect. One or both characters could even come wearing Gondor armour to please the army builders who were disapointed by the lack of Gondor Soldiers. Plus an Eowyn/Witch-King teampack would be a no brainer. Or Eowyn could be paired with Aragorn and the Witch-King could be released solo. Regardless Lego is already promoting LOTR through the game so they've got nothing to lose by it.

Only recently caught up on the new sets. Millennium Falcon Really like the look of the new one. Although fairly similar to the last release the proportions seem a lot more movie accurate and the extra greebling and mismatched colours help give it a very run down look. Hopefully the underside of the ship will be a bit tidier than the 2011 release. I love Finn's new hairpiece and hope we see more of it on other characters like Lando and Falcon in the near future. Old Han's face also looks great - very consistant with the younger version and not too overdetailed like Owen Lars was. X-Wing Love the new windscreen piece and colour scheme. They did a great job incorperating the spring-fire missiles without taking away from the appearance of the build too. The new position for the wing mechanism has me intrigued - I wonder if the set still uses elastic bands like the previous X-Wings? Hoth Echo Base I know its only a CGI video but I am a little underwelmed to be honest. For a UCS set I was expecting something a little more "definitive" and complete. That one Hoth set to rule them all. I kind of wish they went out the way to add a few more details - like the missing Bacta Tank, or a Probe Droid, or even including Princess Leia. It would have been nice to get a new Hoth version with the Tyderium head and printed legs. Yeah its nice that Toryn Farr is getting a minifigure, but it shouldn't be at the expense of another female character. There's no reason why both women can't be included. Bit sad she and Luke aren't coming in TFA sets either, but its understandable given Disney would want to avoid spoilers before the film comes out. Hopefully both will show up in the next Winter wave.

Marvel Superheroes 2016 Rumors And Discussion
wesker replied to Quicksilver's topic in LEGO Licensed
I hope we see Agent 13 in one of the Civil War sets. While another Black Widow and Scarlet Witch is more than welcome, we did just get both in the last wave. It would be nice to get a few new Lego heroines instead of just the same old ones. Wasp would be great too, although she could just as easily be included in the Avengers Assemble sets along with Captain Marvel. -
Can't wait to see how Wonder Woman's minifigure looks.

I wonder if we'll actually see a "naked" C-3PO figure come with a DVD release of Droid Tales?
-
I like the new hairpiece for Superman. Batman looks alright - a bit similar to the New 52 version and I'm not keen on the look of the Bat symbol (more an issue with the movie costume than the minifigure) Can't wait to see how Wonder Woman looks.

Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion
wesker replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
Great to get confirmation about the Civil War sets. Looking forward to adding Baron Zemo and Black Panther to the collection. Hopefully we'll also be seeing Bucky, Agent 13, General Ross, Crossbones and Scarlet Witch in her Avengers uniform somewhere in that line up. And of course... Black Widow in an affordable set for once. -
Interesting that R2-D2 is on the boxart but not the other pics. I still think its a wasted opportunity not including Shmi or an updated Padme. The Sith Speeder is starting to grow on me though. Still not keen on the mismatched colours but I'm liking the actual build the more I see it.

I won't include remakes and just focus on the main holes in the line up: Queen Amidala's Royal Starship Of Padme's four Naboo cruisers the original one from TPM is still the most prominant and iconic. Some argue its impossible to do because of the chrome, but I'd be completely happy with a light grey version - especially since Lego's Naboo Fighters look fine swapping out the chrome with light grey. Could include two new Padme/Queen Amidala variants - the black travel gown with feathered headress and the flame handmaiden costume. Trade Federation Droid Control Ship Can work just fine as a UCS display piece - although a minature hanger in the outer ring with AAT/MTT microbuilds, a small cockpit in the central sphere and a small conference table in the back would add some extra playability. Trade Federation Landing Craft Can include some AAT/MTT microbuilds and a cockpit/bridge for minifigures. Duel of the Fates After Palpatine's Arrest and this year's Final Duel, this scene is just begging to be made as a similar set. Focus should be on the reactor shaft, laser gates and catwalks with plasma beams. Theed Palace Naboo has some beautiful architecture and it feels like a waste not having it replicated in Lego form. A playset similar to that of Hogwarts Castle would be ideal. Even better is if it were compatable with the Duel of the Fates set mentioned above. Geonosian Arena Something similar to 10223 Kingdom's Joust would be good. Have the gate and Dooku's guestbox in the centre and two stands connecting on either side. A modular approach would allow the set to be easily expanded upon. The three beasts can easily be made using the Mixels joints to save costs on new molds. Jedi Temple Playset along the lines of the Death Star/Modular buildings. Fanblade Starfighter Seen in the Nightsisters arc of The Clone Wars as well as the original microseries. Should include Asajj Ventress and Mother Talzin at the bare minimum. Additional minifigures could range from Dooku, Savage, Obi-Wan, Anakin and/or a generic Nightsister. Invisible Hand Something similar in build to the Malevolance. Senate Duel Yoda, Darth Sidious and some senate pods. Mas Amedda, Bail Organa and his airspeeder would be an added bonus. Lars Homestead Could be done similar to the recent Mos Eisley Cantina. Homestead instead of the Cantina, Bantha instead of a dewback, keep the moisture vaporator and include the Lars family speeder instead of rehashing Luke's again. Yavin IV Rebel Base The cancelled playset was nice although I'm sure they can do even better with today's building techniques. Rebel Transport A nice companion piece to the Hoth sets. Essentially a system scale capital ship along the lines of the Star Destroyer, Republic Cruiser and Imperial Assault Carrier. Medical Frigate Probably better off as a UCS display piece, but could also work as a system scale capital ship. Should include new costume variations for Luke, Leia and Lando. Hoth Ion Cannon and Shield Generator The two missing pieces from the Rebel's Hoth base. We'll see if they show up in the new Echo Base. Endor Landing Platform and Shield Generator Dish The last two pieces required for a complete Endor playset to go with the Shield Bunker and Ewok Village.
