  1. Very Strange... try to add a button to skip the banner, perhaps there is a problem in the identification of the browser but it would work if I could access to the viewport. I have tried with Iron too (chromium 18), but with the same result.
  2. Wow, very interesting project! I hope you choose LDraw bricks too, because that's the best way to have immediately a wide amount of parts and promote interoperability! I tried to access using the link you provide, but I can only interact with a banner showing supported browsers and the WebGL logo. I use Firefox 12. Is there something I've to activate? @legolijntje I think the advantage is that you can access to your models from anywhere, and you don't need to install any software to do that. I hope the software will be able to open files from internet, for example from a dropbox account or any other file hosting site.
  3. I think he simply wanted to show you the result you can obtain with powray, so that, if the quality is enough good, you could decide to stay with this software instead than try other (often not free) software.
  4. You don't need to install Access, the Access Runtime is enough and "free". About the "source", what do you mean? The code of LDD manager or the Database? Anyway, check "brickutils" and "MLCad Parts List to BrickLink Wanted List XML Converter" too.
  5. @Superkalle .lxf file is linked on the bottom part of the topic. Perhaps it would be better if I highlight it!
  6. Yes, certainly. I had understood you wanted to use other rendering software because the quality of the render made with powray was not enough good. So, as I saw you powray rendering and thought it is possible to obtain a much better result, I suggested you to read the C3POwen guide. If you need to use other software for other reasons, I can't help you. Perhaps some other user can.
  7. Probably you can obtain best results using Powray. Did you read the guide of C3POwen and following comments?
  8. Stephan, the image of this set is oversized. Perhaps you absentmindedly used the large image instead than a thumbnail?
  9. Hi and welcome in this section. And compliments for the little good work. I've to remark on two things: - Attachment function of the forum is not the best way to share images of your MOCs. A better options is to use external image/file sharing service, such as Brickshelf, that allow you to hotlink both images and lxf files. - The image is a bit oversized for this forum, maximum size allowed is 800x600, could you fix it (it should be enough to cut the blank stripes on the top and on the bottom)
  10. Agree with you, what a dirty fellow! Now you should add the duplicate tags and specify the theme of the original sets (the legend series reprinted old sets!).
  11. The Guarded Inn has been already built (by me ). If a reprinted set has not substantial differences from the original one, we consider it the same set. If that's true for the Guarded Inn, you should insert the "duplicate" tag for your set.
  12. Try with Win7 Drivers, that should work fine. Has you been able to activate automatic screen rotation win win8 CP? It works with win8 DP, but I can't make it work with the Consumer Preview.
  13. LDD removes bricks only if there is some kind of conflict. In this situation, you are simply placing two bricks one next to another. It is not possible to exclude that the bricks would be removed in some future version of LDD, but it shouldn't happen. Thanks for the fix!
  14. Brickshelf allow to deeplink images even if your gallery has not been approved yet. So you can upload a suitable image and use the direct link to embed it in this post. The preview image is necessary to make a regular post. You can place the pin using a scaffolding. The connection will be not recognized, but the pieces can be placed correctly.
  15. It seems you have some isue with AMD drivers. Note that drivers for win8 should be for hd7xxx only. I used win7 drivers and works fine. I haven't tried. Perhaps I'll do that later. I didn't notice that... perhaps I should try with bigger models. I didn't noticed it was possible even with win7 Perhaps it is only necessary to set some function on the control panel. EDIT: it seems that in win8 CP touch functionalities are very poor, "double tap" for double click and "press and hold" for right click, without the chance to add other gestures, for now, at least. I use "press and hold" and it works fine
  16. I didn't think it was possible to obtain a precise shape from measures like these, especially for irregular elements that are very difficult to convert in simple numbers. Saving your image as a 128x128 .png I obtained a 19-20KB image. What is the size of the vectorial file?
  17. I've Win8 consumer preview installed on the w500 now and it seems it works as good as with win7. Surely the touch experience is really improved (touchscreen drivers for win7 are not so good, while those embedded in win8 are much better), perhaps something is changed in LDD use?
  18. Thanks, Lalor. About the shape of the model, it seems to me difficult to exactly match the right shape, but I'm not expert in this kind of things. About vectorial decorations, I see that the bitmaps occupies about 10-20 KB for a 128x128 pixel image. It seems to me a great amount of space, and I thought a vectorial version could be lighter. Perhaps gerkenz can help me to understand the proportion comparing his vectorial decoration with a 128x128 pixel png. About the use in real time, LDD could create temporary mipmaps to use in the viewport.
  19. Very good work. I've a question: how did you create the 3D model? As there are complex and irregular shapes, I don't think you based your pieces on measures. Have you got a 3D scanner? The most interesting thing of the work is the vectorial printings. LDD uses bitmaps, and the few bitmaps inside the database occupy a great amount of space. Vectorial decals could help to reduce this amount and strongly increase the number of supported decorations. And obviously increase quality!
  20. BrickSet reports "Miscellaneous > Promotional", I think we can refer to it. About the image, could you remove blank stripes?
  21. That's exactly what I did. I'm still waiting for an answer from the seller. I've written my request in the comments about the order. Could be the message could be not read in this way? Do you think I should contact the seller again with the standard messaging system?
  22. I'm new in buying from bricklink, so I didn't know about that option. That's interesting. Anyway I don't want to block the process for weeks, Probably I'll conclude the order today, tomorrow at the latest.
  23. mmm.... no! I don't intend to reserve items for myself, I only want to avoid the work to manually fill the chart again. If the Shopping Cart was linked to the user account and not to the browser session, simply I could leave the items in the chart and complete the order later. If someone would take some of the item I've already inserted in the chart, simply bricklink should inform me that these items are not available anymore, so I can remove that from the chart. It would be annoying, but obvious, I don't wanted to lock items simply putting that in the chart. Anyway I followed the suggestion of darkdragon, I hope for a positive answer of the seller!
  24. I thought about a technical solution (something like create a javascript to fill the cart in few seconds...), but your idea seems to be very good. I'll proceed with the order and then I'll contact the seller! Thanks
  25. Ok, here is the problem. It seems that Bricklink's chart become empty if you close the browser. I've spent time to fill it but I can't buy immediately. I'd like to avoid to refill the shopping cart every time (it is not a quick thing...), so... can anyone help me to find a solution?
