  1. To avoid the background is showed, you have to take the screenshot in built mode, not in View Mode. Use this on screen button to fit the model to the viewport.
  2. Yes, I mean the Hinge Tool In LDD 4 it allows to set exact numerical values.
  3. Doesn't Rotation Tool reach the goal?
  4. I see... I think the problem could be due to the discrete movement of the pieces along the antenna. If you zoom, you can notice that there is a little space inside the "9". That little cleft reduces the total space available, so the white tile of the "8" has not enough space to fit. With a finer movement, I think it could be possible to place all bricks, including the snots at sides. EDIT: I made a test, my guess was right. To obtain a finer move, I moved the pieces in oblique. All pieces are placed, but not aligned. I'm making some try to align that. Here is a screenshot. EDIT-2: Finally I got an enough good result. Could be it is not perfect, and it is at the limits of LDD "phisics", but it seems to work. Download Here the lxf file. EDIT-3: damn... reopening the file, LDD removed the pieces! Anyway, the problem seems to be the antenna (conflicts with the left snot) and not the other parts I placed. I should try something of less "extreme" EDIT-4: As I supposed, the problem was the antenna. I removed one of the 1x1 plates round from the base of the antenna and now LDD don't remove the snot anymore. So the real bug seems to be the antenna, or at least how it fit in the snot. The result is now good, but not perfectly identical to the original model. Here is the new lxf file.
  5. @EMACZ Even with a so small thumbnail the image could be confused with a set preview. So I prefer you use text links! Anyway, good work with "1891" I didn't know there was a problem to place the vertical plate.. is it connected? EDIT: looking closely it seems the problem is real: it is possible to place the whole inscription only removing one of the side 44728 snots. It seems you removed the left one, isn't it? Good workaround, anyway.
  6. @Sjuip I completely removed your duplicate post. @EM4CZ I can't find references for the "version 2" you posted. Could you provide one? Another little thing: your image represents a detail of the building, could you replace it with an image showing the whole set? The image is for preview purpose. EDIT: I see now the SuperKalle intervention. I misunderstood, your insertion was a fix of Sjuip work. I've removed the image too, as the post is not a new entry to be indexed. @vean Which entry your post is referred to? The link you provide points to your gallery, but as brickshelf is moderated, it could be unaccessible for days. If you want to share your fix you should deeplink the lxf file.
  7. In the new LDD 4.2.5 the Extended Mode is not hidden, but provided by default. Perhaps you problem is due to e "dirty" preference file from older versions. Delete that file and run LDD so it can create the new preference file.
  8. Using Google Images it seems the only information available is that the egg comes from Italy.
  9. Thanks! Did you solved your problem with zinfinion's suggestions?
  10. Do you mean this tool or perhaps you mean the Hinge Align tool ? Could you explain how to use it to flex concatenated bricks?
  11. Hi maho juga, and welcome in the forum. Could you resize the attached image, as it exceed the maximum size allowed in the forum (800x600)?
  12. That's strange, you have 178 posts and should be able to use IMG tag. Anyway, it is not important as you can use the URL tag: instead than link the gallery, link the single file itself. About the lxf file, you can upload it to brickshelf too, and then deeplink it here using the URL tag.
  13. As brickshelf is moderated and your gallery could require days to be available, can you insert the direct link to the .lxf file and some direct links to more representative images to preview your work?
  14. Be sure to use LDD in Extended mode (View -> New Themes -> LDD Extended) before perform the search.
  15. Did you try the search function of LDD?
  16. Great! Did you handle shadows on transparency background too? (EDIT: I read the other topic only now!) Can we consider now the guide as "definitive" or there is other things you plan to add/modify?
  17. @C3POwen Are you using transparent background or the background is setted in p9owray? If the background is transparent, is it possible to have shadows too (in order to apply the shadows on the background you place behind the rendering)?
  18. @vean If you have used the design of another builder, you should ask him before post the work here. I hope you will contact him and modify your first post inserting the complete references. PS: Don't forget to insert a direct link to the lxf file, your gallery is not accessible yet.
  19. That's one of my main requests in the LDD5 wishlist. Some time ago I tried to modify existing sets, but it seems LDD have some kind of mechanism to prevent that. Probably they check for the file size, or the number of lines... Extra files I tried to add are not recognized too... (I hoped that simply modifying the list in the preferences.ini file I could add some of that, but I was wrong! )
  20. That's probably right. It is typical of the browsers to add the path of the file at the bottom of a print, so as "bullzip PDF printer" is a simple print driver, it receive the same output as a standard printer. So the best choice is to directly convert the html page with a dedicated software without passing through the browser. As I suggested before, open the html file with libreoffice writer is a good and fast solution. @Kazz If you have problems with your notepad, you can try the more complete notepad2.
  21. You have to modify the .html file and save the modifies in the same file. You have not to save another file.
  22. Probably the best choice is to open the HTML with a word processor (such as libreoffice writer), so you can adjust it and then export in pdf format. Did you try my solution?
  23. Ok, I found an html file I generated some time ago. Here are the steps you have to follow: Open the html file in a text editor Search ".step" (should be the first occurrence using the search function of your text editor) and delete the line containing "display:none;" below it. Note that only this step is necessary. Search "function biStep(step)" and clear the content of the function. Search the line containing "<div class="stepdisplay" id="step_display></div>"" and delete it Search "<div id="nav" class="nav">" and delete all below it, except "</body> </html>" Obviously the work can be organized in a better way, but I think it is enough to start.
  24. I can't try in this moment, but perhaps you can easily modify the script inside the html page, forcing all steps to be visible in the same moment. Try that and tell us the result!
  25. Welcome in this section, vean. I edited your topic because the maximum size allowed for images in the forum is 800x600 pixels (and no more than 640x480 is the suggested size). Another thing: you should insert a direct link to the lxf file, because brickshelf is moderated and the gallery could remain not accessible for days.
