  1. Great! That's very important when you use lists to build a set.
  2. I think I'll open a new topic for updates. Anyway it would be useful to have a list of set numbers (even if in this specific situation it is not strictly necessary).
  3. Does the software reports if any brick of the original is missing in the lxf file?
  4. Updated to LDD 4.3.5? I think I will open a new Topic for updates.
  5. That's exactly what I was thinking for: use the custom palette to create subsets of bricks to use for RCBs and contests. The "Existing Bricks" palette was the first example I thought of. But there was a problem: the brick count! Is it possible to create a custom palette without the brick count? It is necessary to use the palette in this way!
  6. Speaking about the new hidden feature (custom palette), what do you think it is the best way to obtain an lxf/lxfml file with a list of bricks, taken from Bricklink or peeron for example? @DLuders Could be a little update of the bricks palette.
  7. To be forgiven, not you have to render my garage as it was thought at first! (if you are interested, you can find the lxf file here!) About anti-aliasing, I thought the problem with transparent bricks was due to the use of antialiasing, and not to its lack! I remembered that sometimes powray's anti-aliasing caused that kind of artefacts.
  8. Nouuu... the rendering cuts out my garage! I notice some problem with transparent bricks. Did you use antialiasing?
  9. mmm... good question. For now, maintain the post, but remove the image (convert it in a text link) until the set has not been released. And remember to inform me when it happens! Where did you get the instructions?
  10. Very useful to build official set after you generate a part list. Perhaps it would be more comfortable if the software simply imports a .csv list and allows to choose one of the imported lists using the already existing "Filter Bricks by Boxes", because the present solution implies the use of an external software to create the proper lxf/lxfml file. But for now it is a great news!
  11. A frontal and a side view, together with a view from the top could be very helpful. You could think to adopt a useful instrument, Griddy, you can find it in the "Index Topic" among cad utilities.
  12. Announcement: After an internal discussion, we decided to modify Topic's rules about allowed sets. Now sets that has nothing to build but scattered parts are not accepted. All the (few) sets that don't respect this rule has been or will be removed from the index. @PsyKater The image for your set 4936 is regular, but it is very big for a such a small set. A smaller image it would be more desirable. EDIT: very fast fix: thanks!
  13. Index updated with informations reported until here. For future updates, refer to the new Update topic.
  14. Index updated With this update we inaugurate the new Index. Thanks to Superkalle we have a new database to manage the entries of this Topic. The present index could have some flaws, so everyone of you is invited to check his/her entries to verify that the data are correct, and report me otherwise. Thanks all for the collaboration. 15. I already thought about that, the problem is that we have not the files, so it is necessary to download that files again, and that's a huge work.
  16. I imagine you mean LDD 4.2.5, the last version. About the "Filter by box" function, it allows to have in the palette only the bricks necessary to build a specific sets, and in the right quantity. Unfortunately this is possible only with few sets included in LDD, and it is not possible (for now, at least) to add other sets, a function that would be very appreciated by many users, including me.
  17. Oops... thanks, I should be a bit inattentive (for the word "indicized" too , now fixed).
  18. There is another issue about distinguish LDD 4.1.7 to LDD 4.2.5 sets... we have not the data! (the old index distinguish only between LDD3 and LDD4) This means that someone should check all the sets and verify the LDD version. Any volunteer? So, in the meantime, I think the LDD version could remain indicative, and became more precise in the future.
  19. You should thank mainly Superkalle, that made the software who manage the database now. Anyway the version posted now is a preliminary version, there are some things to fix. About the LDD4/LDD4.2 I didn't noticed it, that should be something experimented by Superkalle. I thought to maintain all the present sets as "LDD4" and not differentiate between 4 and 4.2, but only future versions. About the themes and set's names, almost all data are gathered by Bricklik (and I hope in the future by Brickset), so we refer to it now. Themes need to be organized a bit better I think, but I don't know if it will be feasible soon. The software now don't allow me to do what I'd like to do, but I should be able to make some modifies. EDIT: Oops, I missed Superkalle's answer!
  20. Exactly! You should verify if some of the sets you updated has the tilde instead than the minus sign in the index. If you find some of that, you should report it in the proper topic.
  21. Can you verify what sets are updated from LDD3 and, if any, post that in the topic I linked above? For now, only sets updated from ldd3 requires an index update. Hi, different models of the same set should be inserted as different sets. Look here for example. The post is irregular again. - You should resize the oversized image, 1.680x1.050 px is too large. Maximum size allowed here is 512x512 px, but as your model is a small set, a smaller size is more appropriate (384x... for example). I already told you about this but you replaced the old image with another oversized one. - Renderings with poweray or other similar software are not allowed in this topic, the thumbnail have to be a screenshot made with LDD. Anyway you can provide the rendering as an extra using a text link or making the thumbnail clickable.
  22. Thanks to Superkalle, probably already from the next index update will use an automatic system for names, so there should not be any problem about that (in the index, at least). About your updates, I suppose old sets was made in LDD 4.1. If not, remember about the other topic.
  23. Contact Sergio, it could be a bug of the software.
