As the posts of the last days has been lost, I report here some of the issues I've found: When I write a post, if I switch from the "rich editor" to the standard one, buttons in the toolbar become gray and it is not possible to use that. It seems that in the new forum each post can contain only about 85000 characters before the BBcode stop working. This is a huge problem for index posts, as previous limit was about 200000 characters. "Description" field under topics' title is not present anymore. All the descriptions has been lost?

Did you take a look at the Section Index? I'm pretty sure that you can find something there. -

Did you check the "LDD startup and advanced graphics problems" topic? Get the link here. -
LDD Parts list for your MOC

It is interesting anyway! I add it to the section index. -
LDD 4.3.5 bugs
Calabar replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
The issues are not related to widescreens, but to an insufficient vertical height some widescreen displays. 1080 points are enough to avoid any problem, while 768 or 800 points are not enough to display all the palette. Anyway you could consider to buy a 16:10 display, with a 1920x1200 resolution (a bit more expensive, but better). There are many interesting products, from the cheap but good BenQ VW2420H to the excellent Dell UltraSharp U2412M. -
How is this brick used?
Calabar replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
I think the best version to maintain depends on which is more suitable inside the sets that uses the other version. We can renounce to the functionality, but it would be very annoying if I can't insert the piece inside the model because of the modified design. -
UAC is one of the best protections inside Windows, and turn it off is not a good idea. Try starting Powray with the proper right instead.

LDD 4.3.5 is out
Calabar replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
You surely know the lxfml structure better than me. Do you think it is possible to easily remove, for example with a regular expression and a text editor, all the yellow bricks and leave the red bricks only? If there are not conflicts among red bricks, you could then open the file with LDD and see where the problematic bricks are placed. -
LDD 4.3.5 bugs
Calabar replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
It is not exactly a bug, but something similar. Opening LDD in a 1280x800 display, I can't see the last line in the colour palette when I use the bucket. I think the problem could be even worse on a 16:9 1366x768 display. Still think the left sidebar would be a better place for the colour palette. -
LDD 4.3.5 is out
Calabar replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Exactly. Even if coloured in red, these bricks are problemetic yet, so it is impossible to display that... at least in the present version of LDD. Opening the file with the previous version of LDD, probably will allow you see the image with the red bricks inside. Probably it would be useful if LDD would have a "no-collision" mode: that would allow to open the UnplaceableBricksDump file to detect the red bricks and avoid conflicts with problematic files. -
LDD 4.3.5 is out
Calabar replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
You can find the UnplaceableBricksDump.lxfml file inside the LDD profile folder. The placement of this folder depends on the operating system you are using (it is where the profile folders of other installed software are placed, anyway). -
LDD Official Sets UPGRADE Report

Very Good! I modified your original post to highlight that (I need to distinguish discussions from updates at a glance!) -
LDD Official Sets UPGRADE Report
Calabar replied to Calabar's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Damn... I didn't thought about that. I can't report these sets as LDD 4.3 if the file reports a different version. It could be a problem for future verifications. Is it complex for you to update the lxf files at least? Brickshelf should allow massive upload using zip files. Ehehe in this situation it could be a problem. The important thing is that the updated sets results clearly from your post (and "all my sets" is enough to help me for the modification of the database). I could even easily add the list later. -
LDD Official Sets UPGRADE Report
Calabar replied to Calabar's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
You mean that ALL your sets can be considered updated to LDD 4.3? If you confirm that, I will update the database (but please modify the post above as reference... you don't need to list all sets, anyway). -
Eurobricks' 3rd LDD RCB
Calabar replied to Brickdoctor's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Great, thanks! There would have been a collision problem with the new LDD, I can see the Hook has been removed... I have to fix it! (I suppose you have removed the window glasses for the rendering) EDIT: I updsted the model to LDD 4.3.5 -
LDD Official Sets UPGRADE Report
Calabar replied to Calabar's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Hi. The procedure is described among the rules of the Official Sets topic, here. Look for [sets created by other users]. For any other question, you can contact me in private. -
As explained above, brickshelf is moderated, anyway direct links are immediately accessible. So, if you insert a direct link to your images, you don't need to wait that your gallery is reviewed by the moderators. About resizing images, you can do it in a while with many image viewers (for example, on a windows machine, Irfanview), that contain a batch procedure to resize many images together. For a finer work, you can use some simple image editor software (for example, I use PixBuilder Studio).

LDD 4.3.5 is out
Calabar replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
I perfectly agree, that's a thing I ever thought about this feature. The only problem would be the delay necessary to load the lxf file on the fly. -
LDD Official Sets UPGRADE Report
Calabar replied to Calabar's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
It is not necessary to report set's data, set's number is enough! -
Exactly, 800x600 is the maximum size allowed in this forum, but you can use clickable thumbnails if you want to share bigger images. Anyway usually 800x600 is enough big (and often it is too big!), so there should not be problems. After that the guide will be complete, I'll link it in the index topic.

With the creation of the new Index for the Official Topic, we need a better organized topic to manage all the updates. Rules Report the version of LDD the sets have been updated to. Report a comma separated list of the sets you have upgraded. Add any note that could be helpful. Order the list using the pages of the Official Sets topic as reference. Make the set's number clickable to easily access to the updated post. Remember to fix old posts using the last version of the topic rules, if necessary. If you update many sets, provide a fast way to download the updated files all together. If possible split up the files in folders that group 10 pages (25 post/page) of the official topic (1-10, 11-20, etc...) Notes An updated set have to be saved with the new version of LDD and re-uploaded. Please clearly distinguish sets where you updated the LDD version (useful for the database) and sets where you updated the brickset only. Example Calabar Sets Updated to LDD 4.2.5 6075, 6073, 6067, 6074, 6061, 6040 A, 6040 B, 6085. (all my Castle Sets)
