  1. Little update for my list in post #2.
  2. @jamesn You can already do that: select the parts you want to recolour, select the paint bucket and change the colour in the sub-toolbar (the colour palette is the second icon from the left). Besides, you can use the "Color Selection Tool" to select all the bricks of the same colour. You can use group function to easily select the pieces you want in a single click. NOTE: the paint bucket works only in Extended Mode.
  3. The answer to your question is: NO, LDD will not work on Windows RT. All the old Win32 software don't run on the Modern-UI, there is the need to completely rewritten that. Maybe someday LDD will be rewritten for Modern-UI, until than you can't run it on a Windows RT tablet. I tested LDD on an Iconia W500 tablet and it runs smootly (with the limits of a not much powerful video card, obviously), but the software is not much adequate for the touchscreen interface, there are many difficulties: the software is not thought for that. You could wait for the Surface Pro tablets (or any equivalent one), that runs a complete version of Windows 8 on a x86 processor.
  4. I think this topic is too verbose to be merged, it would better if you post there the request in few easily readable sentences, if you want. About the update, LDD 4.3.5 was out few months ago, but maybe Superkalle or some other user is best informed than me.
  5. I know what you are speaking about, but I think that it is very difficult (but not certainly impossible) that the lxf file will be chosen as vehicle of infection. Anyway you are surely right, TLG should fix this problem. I think the best way to contact TLG is the customer care. If now they are busy, wait some week: if LDD has survived until now (for years) without this fix, it should survive some weeks more. Maybe someone in this forum that have privileged contacts with TLG could bring the message for you too.
  6. Get in line, I'm still waiting the part 4737, still present in LDD 3! Same destiny for the window 4741, that fortunately can be easily replaced with parts 4447 and... mmm... the opposite one! It seems the destiny for removed parts is not so bright!
  7. Interesting point. I think LDD is a "niche" software, and it is very difficult tha someone will use it for malicious purpose. Anyway the security of a software is never a problem to be reckoned with, so you could add a request in the "LDD 5, what do YOU want?" topic.
  8. There could be another reason for the "unmovable" legs made by TLG (and I think it is the main reason): These legs seems to be longer because designed to appear partially hidden under the torso. Movable legs instead appears too short, and the minifig became disproportionate.
  9. Probably because the short legs are very limited in movement when attached to a basis. And because are cheaper, obviously! About the "minecraft guys", I like the first version, but with the arms of the third one.
  10. @CM4S It seems you have some problem with private messages, I can't contact you. I've edited your post because irregular. You should crop and resize your image, the maximum size allowed is 512x512px. You can find all the rules of the topic in the first page (Click). You could be interested to read this guide to make better quality screenshots/thumbnails. About the lxf file, as brickshelf gallery is moderated, I suggest you to direct link the file. This time I modify it for you. For every question, ask me (in private, once you solved the PM issue) PS: I can see you have another irregular entry (here). You could try to fix it too.
  11. @Stephan Even if these are alternate models of the same set, post that as they was different sets. Images are a bit oversized (for medium size sets, 512px are many), although still regular.
  12. That sometimes happens, and that's why every user is encouraged to report every error/lack of the index, when he/she finds one. Often that happen when a builder add sets to an existing post I've already added to the index, and I don't notice the addition (that mean... don't add sets to existing posts! ).
  13. Your entries was not irregular, I only wanted to inform you about the existence of the integrated function to make screenshots. Anyway... the size of your images was much better before! (512x512 is an upper limit, inadequate for small sets) PS: thumbnails have not to be squares. Rather you should crop the image removing blank stripes.
  14. Hi luwenzheng, welcome to Eurobricks and thanks for your first contributions. Only a notice: in your screenshots I can see the base grid, and that mean you didn't use the snapshot function integrated in LDD. If you want to create screenshots that contains only the model, try CTRL+K, that allows you to easily create a "clean" screenshot. For any other suggestion about screenshots, you could find interesting this guide.
  15. @Johan J You only have to report the fix, you don't need to post the set again! I edit your post to show you how to do. PS: about the use of the attachment function of the forum, we prefer to don't use it in this case. A brickshelf gallery is reliable enough and allow you to share and deeplink both images and lxf files.
  16. It seems I was wrong then. That's strange, because I didn't found the entries in the database. Could be a database fault, some kind of error happened saving data. Very strange, anyway, but the important thing is that I noticed the problem and inserted the sets. The measures are provided only as a guideline (except the upper limit of 512x512px, that is categorical). The size of the thumbnail should be assigned simply with common sense (reported to the 512px for big sets). I think that the image should be enough big to be noticed and the subject should be clearly visible, for the rest... as small as possible. Your resize for the set 1355 is very good (a little bigger image would be good anyway), while I think your image for the set 4796 is too big still.
  17. Where did these sets spring up from? Remember to don't edit posts to add new sets, the risk is that I don't see that and the sets will be not added to the index. The post is regular, but the image is oversized for such a small set. I call upon you to reduce the size of the thumbnail for small sets.
  18. Tilde and minus are not used to indicate LDD version anymore. The new index is different Anyway, "all star wars sets of ADHO15" is enough good to perform a fast query that insert the correct data inside the index.
  19. @Daedalus304 Superkalle touched on this feature here. For further informations, you should wait the guide that is already in preparation.
  20. @PsyKater It seems that the helicopter in the image is incomplete. Did you forgot something?
  21. 9446 results correctly here. Do you remember any other?
  22. Oh, I should have miss it! What was the set id? I have to check if I inserted it in the database!
  23. I made a script to get the list of ElementIDs too, now we need to find a fast way to use it to make a custom palette. Does Brickset has a list of correspondence? If we could get the whole list using BrickSet's API, we could convert the data in locale. There are some other chances: - use LDD Manager, but it seems many ElementIDs don't match to the LDD ones (he is investigating about that). - use LDD Part Finder, that should provide a wide database of ElementIDs.
  24. Obviously you need to "clean" your draft yet! ;) Some rules seems to need to be adjusted (I suggest you to modify your post above instead than post again). Are you sure about allowing two images? I think it could be confusing, and don't help the work of the indexer. A single image makes the set immediately identifiable, every other element (such as hidden parts) can be inserted in a text link (which leads to an image, of course).
