  1. Good work, is the house built from the official instructions? If the answer is yes, you could post it inside the LDD Official Sets topic.
  2. @penguinz Wow... 16 sets all together. Remember that the size 512x is for big sets, the post is regular but for small sets you should use smaller images.
  3. Oh, I didn't noticed the links brings to instructions, I opened that and noticed the images only. So I thought you need another kind of help. So you need someone that will built the model using the instructions you linked?
  4. A partial model of this set is present in the LDD Official Set topic made by bbqqq, take a look here.
  5. Exactly: if if the set is recent, Brickset report the brick data directly from TLG website, so the data should be accurate. Otherwise you could consult Bricklink or Peeron, but they have different names for colours than those used in LDD, so you should convert that using a proper colour chart (for example Link). For a complete handling about colour, read the Aanchir's LDD Reference topic. At last, you could built a custom palette that contains only the bricks you need in the right colour and in the right amount. Read here for further informations.
  6. @SteffenLovesLDRAW The image you inserted in your post is oversized (rules of Eurobricks stated that the maximum size allowed is 800x600). I converted your image in a text link, please prepare a proper image and restore it. You can use again your fullHD image making the reduced image a clickable thumbnail.
  7. Good work, thanks for sharing. Maybe the choice of part 85984 instead than 3039 could be more azzeccato for the roofs? Some hints: you should share the lxf file to post your moc in this section. Otherwise it will be moved in the proper theme section. in LDD you can take the screenshot using CTRL+K key shortcut. The screenshot will be taken as a PNG with transparency (so you can add a background later, if you want) and without the grid ot the buttons visible in LDD. Here is a guide about screenshots and thumbnails. instead than attach image and lxf file, you could use an external file hosting such as brickshelf, where you create your gallery hosting both images and lxf files, and put here direct links.
  8. @Palathadric Don't worry about posted/not posted. Report the whole list of SetID here. The list is useful even if the set has been already posted, because some other builder could post the set because it don't appear both in the index and in the "booked sets" list.
  9. I report here some of my hight priority bricks from my list: 43753, 4089, 792c01, 3613, 39, x105, 4587, 251c01, 4071, 4611 The complete list here (maybe in the meantime some piece has been added... I would need a list of LDD bricks to verify). Besides, a great "UP" for the zinfinion wishlist reported here and here (I see there many "priority 1" bricks not reported in the xls file, and don't forget raised baseplates!).
  10. @Palathadric Report, exactly, the setIDs of your booked entries.
  11. @PeabodySam Ok, let's take it as an "extra". Remove the image from the post above and insert it as a text link in the post together with the main set.
  12. @PeabodySam What does the alternate LXF contains? If it is an official alternate model built using instructions, you can post it as a separate set, otherwise you could add a description or an image as a text link.
  13. @calculon The link should be wrong in the original post. I'll try to contact the builder to fix the problem. EDIT: The user don't visit Eurobricks from a lot of time, probably it would be impossble to contact it. You could look at the other entry for the same set in the Index, it is older, but it could be good enough. If it don't satisfy you, you could ask the builder to update the set (or do the work by yourself, if he don't want to upgrade) or request a brand new one in the proper topic.
  14. Extended Mode make available ALL the bricks contained in the LDD internal database. Maybe some bricks present in the past has been removed from the database (then it is not possible to "unlock that", because the bricks are not in LDD anymore), but all the other ones shold be available. For Colour and decorations the situation is not so simple, and for that I suggest you to take a look at the LDD Reference Topic. Maybe the part is there and you didn't find it. Take a look at this topic, it could help you.
  15. Added! But next time report it with more emphasis, the risk is that I don't see it!
  16. Did you try to hide other "blocks" using the Hide tool before selecting? Very good Hint, I didn't know it. So groups can be coloured directly with the paint bucklet, very interesting. I agree with you for the same reasons, especially the first one. I find very difficult to build a set without the reference points provided by the outlines of the bricks.
  17. You shoud share the file with powray settings, so an experienced user could take a look at it.
  18. But that colours are obtained manually modifying a lxfml file, and you can't obtain that from LDD GUI. Obviously LDD Developers didn't thought about a scenario like this. Note that, as this scenario is obtained with a manual modify, you can get round the problem with a manual modify too: give the pieces you want to change a colour you don't use for other piece, than open the lxfml file with a notepad and replace it with search/replace. I find much more annoying the fact that you can't use the "color picker" tool. Often you use it to avoid to search a colour inside the palette, or to avoid to select the wrong colour. But with the present bucklet function, it is impossible to use because you have to reselect the colour to use the instrument. A line of "recently used colours" inside the palette would be very helpful and would allow to get round both problems. A button that "refresh" already selected colour would be appreciate too!
  19. I think the situation is not so simple. A paid version requires a certain organization of the business structure, requires that the developers respect certain deadlines, could make feel standard LDD users as "discriminate", as it was born as a accessory, not as a product itself. My idea is that TLG, after the closing of the Universe and the Design by Me projects, has leaved LDD as a Fan's present, but don't intend to invest great resources on it.
  20. Crist Clapper, please pay attention to the edit message, when a moderator/regulator edit your posts. According to the rules of the forum, the maximum size allowed for an image inserted in a pageis 800x600, so avoid to use bigger images, or resize that before.
  21. mmmm... I thought the color palette contains ALL the colours available in LDD, am I wrong? Anyway I hated the way the paint bucklet worked previously, it was much better as it worked in LDD3 (even though there was a scenary where it was very uncomfortable, and this cenario was probably the reason that led to the changes). The present version should be surely improved. For example, if you select many parts and then click on the paint bucklet, the selection is maintained only if the bucket subtool is select, and lost otherwise. About errors during the selection process, LDD 4.3.5 includes the selection tool among the undo/redo steps.
  22. @colmoore Perhaps you could find this post interesting!
  23. This time leave the post as is. But remember to inform me when the sets will be released, so I'll add that to the index.
  24. @Stephan According to Brickset, these sets has not been released yet. Have you got different informations?
  25. It is not a matter of OpenGL or DirectX. WinRT are a brand new set of API (a bit incomplete at the moment, and partially based on older Win32), and software made for Modern-UI have to be written with WinRT. This means that that the software have to be rewritten with the new API. And, considering that the WinRT API have limits if compared with Win32, there could be some difficulties too.
