  1. @N0sferatu The problem is that it isn't possible to add bricks to LDD without hacking the software. The problem was discussed in the past and LDD Team changed some thing in LDD from then on. You can find a reference in the Section Rules, forth rule.
  2. No, LDD only uses parts and decorations available in its internal assets.lif file. This file is "close" and generated by the LDD Team for each brickset's release. Besides LDD and LDraw uses a different kind of geometry system to describe bricks and their interactions, so it would be necessary a conversion.
  3. @Instructions archiver Very good, maybe I missed your advice! Fixed this too. Thanks for the other fixes.
  4. @N0sferatu LDD don't support custom parts, so it is not possible to import it in LDD.
  5. @Instructions archiver - Collectable minifigures series 9 has a setID, 71000. Don't forget to insert it in your entry. - In the image the first line of minifigures hide the second line: is it possible to find a better angle? - Don't forget to report when a set is a duplicate: both your recent entries (71000 and 76007) surely are. @PeabodySam Thanks, fixed!
  6. Looking at strokeplus webpage, it seems to me that the software is thought for touch gestures and not mouse gestures. Are you sure is there not a better way to perform gestures? Anyway I setted the time needed to simulate a right click as very fast in win8. It is not immediate, but much better than default setting.
  7. Maybe the lack of finger Flicks in Win8 is due to the use of "basic" drivers, while in Win7 you used the specific drivers of your touchscreen? Are you ever using the iconia w tablet? I'd like to dip into a device win8 native, and take a look at touch functionalities to see if this lack is typical of all win8 computers. In this case, the software you pointed out seems a very good solution at this problem.
  8. Oh, ok, forget it then! Yes, it seems a bug, or a misconnection at least.
  9. @Luke_likes_Lego You are true, I supposed Snowspeeder Pilot was asking help for LDD because the image seemed an LDD screenshot and because it is a typical difficulty for LDD builders. Let's wait the he will clarify the situation (and if necessary I'll edit the thread's title again). Another solution in LDD could be to place a 2x2 plate under the bicycle, because the bicycle has a "hook" thought to fit among studs. Once placed the bicycle replace the plate with the tile. It should work if LDD has correctly implemented this connection.
  10. Note that I will update only sets the LDD 4.3.6 in the database only for those sets changed using the last version of LDD. That means that the lxfml file have to report that the file has been saved with LDD 4.3.6 So... what's the case?
  11. Try using a scaffolding. The trick consists in selecting the bycycle toghether with another piece that you can move freely. Select both, move the other piece and the bycycle will be moved with it. I converted your oversized image in a text link and changed the title of the topic with a more significative one.
  12. I suggest to mark the empty lxf file as "Read Only", to avoid that a heedless builder could easily overwrite it. That will force the user to save the file with another name and preserve the empty lxf file.
  13. @Stephan Don't forget to add the link, please.

  16. @CM4S @jcrosser Images of your posts are irregular, please read the rules in the first page and fix that. In the meantime I converted that in text links. jcrosser, remember that the image for a small set should be smaller than the maximum size allowed, for your set a 256 pixel width image should be perfect. jcrosser, the forum's attachment function is not the best choice for sharing the lxf files. I suggest you to create a free brickshelf account, that allow you to host and hotlink both images and lxf files.
  17. From what I remember, bricks outlining ever worked with advanced graphics only, but the need of hight quality rendering for the brick palette is a bit odd, I agree.
  18. @Walter Kovacs As renderings requires much time, you could render only on image for each set and provide other images as text links. For not-rendered images, you can use LDwiew (if I remember correctly) to take the screenshot, the quality is considerably higher. Maybe some other user more expert in LDraw will suggest you another software. About set 4476, what do you think to replace the missing Jabba with a brick build solution? In the LDD topic there are some examples!
  19. I imagine you mean the LDD Official Sets topic, isn't it? Anyway, yes, it seems you can't add nothing other if not the minifig face (don't leave a decoration blank if you can find a replacement). Remember that the Official Sets topic has stricter rules, read that before posting (you can find that in the first page of the Official Sets topic).
  20. No, the only advanced LEGO cad software available for mobile devices is Mecabricks, because it works online. Unfortunately for you it requires that your browser supports WebGL, and Safari doesn't. Read here for further informations. The software is not optimized for touchscreen devices yet, but Scrubs is working on that.
  21. I'm pretty sure the argument has been discussed in this section too. After a brief search inside the forum, here is some result: - Making letters out of LEGO - New set: Letters Building System - A matematical puzzle for SNOTing - Brick Lettering in LDD Anyway, a topic that summarize techniques and styles is a good idea, if well done it could be added to the section index. Are you available to gather stuff, create digital files and related screenshots to make a well ordered topic?
  22. DirectX 9.0c exists much earlier than Win7 or DX10. From 2004, if I'm not wrong. It is not a special version, simply the last version of the "old" DirecX (pre DX10). NET Framework v4 or v4.5 don't include previous versions, while NET Framework v3.5 includes v3 and v2.
  23. but... if everyone will make "perfect posts", we will loose the chance to open a very funny contest to fix it! Jokes apart, don't worry about perfection, here is required the respect of the rules, to give our best and the availability to fix errors! PS: Remember that the 512x size is thought for big models. The image for set 8256 is considered regular, but it should be a bit smaller (it is a small size set).
  24. duckworthd, welcome to EuroBricks. Your software seemst to be very interesiting. Thanks for sharing it! As you can notice, in the Section Index we already have a list of Lego Software and Utilities. If you want to spend a bit of your time, you can create an "Official Topic" for your application, that have to include a brief description, images, link a step by step guide, if necessary. Then I will add your utility to the Section Index.
