  4. It's a bit difficult to disassemble without leaving any scars, but otherwise it's relatively easy. The small black lid has four clips that need to be pried out. No need to open gears case if it's an electrical problem - here it was a broken wire (yellow top right component, a resettable fuse)
  5. I've got a few: http://www.philohome.com/motors/motor.htm http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=116083 http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=117728

  8. ...now I must admit I never used that in any project...
  9. The third makes a good bracket to mount a M motor...
  10. The switch is in the lower left 2D/3D view panel selector, named PS/GS. PS green means part snapping is on.
  11. You'll probably find this discussion interesting...
  12. Great! What about know inaccuracies of LDraw models? Or do you only upload files that are supposed to be flawless?
  13. The good new is that SR3Dbuilder does work. The problem is that new parts needs connectivity, but this can be defined by external patch files. Now question is - who will create these patch files and distribute them? The other problem is images of parts, there are supposed to be functions in SR3D to generate them but I could never get them to work (but it's possible to use LDView for that). As for other programs - I think that indeed LDCad is the best candidate nowadays. Probably less intuitive than SR3D (though I remember I struggled quite a bit with SR3D when I started, but now my neurons are properly wired ;) ) and it does have connectivity in addition to grid mode, somehow offering the best of both worlds (simple to use connectivity when it works well, and use gridded moves - always possible - when connectivity is not defined or when you want weird things). Another benefit of LDCad is that the files it generates are more compatible with other LDraw tools (including for things such as flex parts!), and it has very good image quality. The newly added animation scrip featuret is extremely powerful but also MUCH more guru-friendly than SR3D one. LDCad is a bit lacking documentation, but Roland Melkert is very helpful on LDraw forum! See announcement of latest version here: http://forums.ldraw....14209#msg-14209
  14. 3063 - Heartlake Flying Club - Friends Download MPD (OMR compliant) Known errors: No stickers Done with LDCad 1.4 in order to learn it...
  15. This is extremely sad news. He gave the community an awesome piece of software. May he rest in peace.
  16. I really used FIBER_OPTICS_CABLE as it was the right diameter for the bungee cord. But I also edited the lsynth.mpd file to change stiffness (that's something I do very often to get the right results, including with NXT cables, too bad we can't pass this parameter on the command line). I also deleted fiber optics end element...
  17. The 5.5l axle started its life as a specialty part for ZNAP range.
  18. 3930 - Stephanie's Outdoor Bakery - Friends Download MPD (OMR compliant). Errors: none known
  19. 41512 - Chomly - Mixels / Series 2 41512-chomly.mpd No known errors
  20. 8257 - Cyber Strikers - Technic / Competition Done with SR3Dbuilder + LSynth + MLCad. MPD built with MPDCenter. Should be OMR compatible. Known errors: Missing stickers, Technic figure torsos has no pattern. Cyborg figure has plain arms instead of a biomecanical ones, and a mockup for cyborg eye. MPD file is here.
  21. Arghl! How could I miss this? Model corrected. It would be even more easy if it was possible to move a part in one main direction only by pulling one arrow of the move/rotate thingy. It used to work...
  22. Actually I swapped the numbers, but yes, I'll take the 8257. Some fond memories of this set since when I seriously got into Technic I bought a bunch for a very low price to build up my parts collection... Thanks ;) Actually I place the constraints with SR3D builder (it's easier) then come back to MLCad for synthesis).
  23. It worked for me, probably thanks to browser cache... Now linked to Brickshelf.
