I can imagine that's a overwhelming task. Budget wise, I wouldn't have a figure, it depends on the sets. Same goes for parts, 2nd hand is cheaper, but you don't know where it's from, what the quality of the bricks are, if its complete... And I'm kind of a germofoob, so yeah, I pay more for new bricks. I'd recommend you get in touch with one of the offical Lego stores in the USA (store list click here), since most of them have 'Pick-a-Brick' walls & almost every available set. Also everything is purchasable in bulk (even loose Lego from the pick-a-brick wall). Maybe they can even help you out with some kind of deal? Set recommendations; city accessoires, city people pack, beach people pack, creator skate house, creator winter house, creator poolside house, creator modern house, creator family villa, modular buildings, roadplates & lots of vehicles.

Really nice work, I gotta say I'm a fan of the more realistic approach. Love the parking spaces, but missing the pedestrian sidewalks a bit. I can even imagine photoshopping it for personal touches or numerous terrains; dirt/country road and vegetation. Maybe even transition plates, from asphalt to dirt. Though I wonder; would it be possible to make pop-out cut-outs in them? So you're able to insert a 2x2 plate, for a traffic light stand/manhole cover. Or a 1x2 for a drainagecover.

A few questions to start Lego journey with my son
-zenn replied to groovybug's topic in General LEGO Discussion
1. I still don't sort out most of my bricks... I just like it when I come across pieces which gives me a new building ideas. 2. What PeteM said. ;) 3. Yes, I recommend checking out Bricklink to get sets/parts cheaper. 4. Back in the 90's as a kid I just loved to get small sets, which gave a vast variety & collection to play with. 5. Whenever my nephew (2 years old atm) is here, we build & play Duplo together. He seems to copy certain building techniques, while also let his imagination making up a story; past week we build a 4 story building, with animals & people living in it. Suddenly he got his firetruck, some drinking straws and needed to put out the fire & help. -
Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Normally I'm not an RPG guy, but the story in this game... Just wow, took my breath away. Right now only doing sidequests (mainquests on hold), hunting (gotta level up that arching skill) & making a few groschen a long the way...

Thats some sweet shapping going on there. But even more impressive that it's a digital build; but hardly unrecognisable as digital! Fingerprints on the window, scratches on the tank, some wear on the top lights.

Thank you. Hmm, now I might have to put up a favorite list as well... So many awesome & neat builds out there though.

I wouldn't be surprised that within the next couple of years we see another 'Space' theme, although I think this might have to be in par with the general day & age of the modern equivalent of going 'back' to space (especially with the recent Elon Musk launches). Though I'd like to see a combo/temporary merger of the City & Space lines; a 'Future City'.

Which old TV shows would you want to see make a comeback?

Space: Above & Beyond. -
Spotted some Lego in 'Rundfunk', a Dutch tv show about two buddies at a middle school. (German teacher reminiscent of Adolf) (have put it in a spoiler, 'cause you know for all the SJW's out there...)

Hahaha, most certainly. Also no 'unsorted' lego, that would go against his entire character.

Sweet! Always loved Space Police when I was a kid; solely because of the laser prison! ^^

Young Sheldon; Season 1, episode 13 (A Sneeze, Detention, and Sissy Spacek). 12m30s: Sheldon made a 'germ' proof shelter in the garage by his beloved traintrack... In discussion with his mom; "And anything else I need, I can make out out of legos." Next scene he's fumbling around with Lego, with a big red case full of unsorted lego next to him.

Subsequently this build turned into one of the prizes for LSB's Speeder Bike Contest '18: Battle for District 18. More info; check the Lego Speeder Bikes group @ Flickr.

'Guardians of the Galaxy 2' & 'Thor: Ragnarok'. Kinda dissapointed by GotG2, but Thor made it more than up for me. Dang, that was an awesome movie!

Who's Your Favorite Film Composer and/or Score?
-zenn replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Mostly depends on my mood, or what movie gives me inspiration... So lately; Paul Leonard-Morgan's Dredd OST. But also the OST's of Tron: Legacy, Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, The Book of Eli, Blade Runner, Max Max: Fury Road, Jurassic Park. And a nice non-official edit song; -
I'm diggin' with you did with her feet & that little hint of grey in inside of the thursters.

Listening to a lot of Pagan/Folk/Nordic music lately...

Oew, nice work! Instant Giger-esque & Matrix-(fetus)pods feel to it.

What minifigs are we missing - post your detailed suggestions here

Sort of a 'easteregg/reference'... -
No problem. I shared your post with LUGNuts, one of the biggest Lego Cars/Trucks/Vehicle groups on Flickr.

'Urban' Future City Cop Gender: Male. Occupation/print on torso: this torso (but a male version) + these arms (but with police badges instead of GPD badges). Type of headgear: a combo of the icehockey helmet (open chin) & space helmet (air intake modded into a police badge) + black visor. Type of facial expression: this face (but without the sunglasses printing). Color on torso/legs: these legs (but with some extra boot printing). Accessory: golden chevrons + handgun (similar to the 'Lawgiver Mk.II') & handcuffs. Made him for one of my moc's btw... And an female 'Rookie' version, without the decorated arms & without helmet to go along with him and patrol the streets for perps. -
Stickers; - I only use them to accentuate a model. - Preferable on a 'transparant' sheet so I can stick them over any color. - Mostly cut them up for certain prints.

Just perfect! Nice use of the gold wings over the black plates to create a 'covered' wing so to speak, really neat. Also, don't know if you noticed, the pilot makes me think of Mythbusters 'Jamie Hyneman'!

Thanks man, glad you like them! I just can't seem to stop building them... Although I haven't been building much lately, trying to do some work on a Hovercar that just doesn't wants to get finished for some strange reason...
