  1. Very nice jazz_lego, really dramatic shot with the Wampa sneaking up on the Stormtrooper like that!
  2. Another two great additions Dapper-D2! I'm really enjoying the little one line stories and action scenes, and i especially love the special effects!
  3. This is sure something different from what we have seen so far as far as MOCs go! I'm very interested to see how this project will develope!
  4. TLC probably won't get overly concerned that someone got a sneak peek at a retail catalogue and is reporting his findings and answering a few questions. But it'll be something different when pictures from that catalogue are taken without permission and get leaked onto the internet. So i agree that we don't wanna get Hulk_Smash or his local retailer in trouble, no matter how much we would love to see pictures of the new sets.
  5. Ah, never mind that part of the comment then! I really like how the rest of the chamber turned out, it looks awesome!
  6. The close up pictures are great, the chamber looks just like in the movie! I do have some doubts about the sturdiness of construction as seen in the behind the scenes picture though...
  7. You said it! We really don't need an in-between version...
  8. Now that there is a nice idea! I thought it was great to have a choice with the gunship, it would be nice if LEGO decided to do that with a smaller scale vehicle like an AT-RT as well.
  9. My thoughts exactly! The Pre Vizsla minifigure is quite nice and this is a great idea to get a better looking Darksaber. But it's unlikely that i'll ever have the opportunity to try it for myself, since the set itself has very little appeal to me.
  10. We'll let you live this time! But i'm with you on hoping that the AT-RT isn't going to be blue like that, i would prefer a bit more conventional color scheme. Besides, a gray-with-blue color scheme usually is associated with the seperatists, so it would get a bit confusing for some people i think.
  11. It's his own original idea, it's not based on any existing model.
  12. It's a $40 set, do you really want to pay $20 extra? Seems a bit unnescessary to me, i would just be patient and pick it up cheaper at a later time.
  13. Just out of curiosity, how much did you bid? Or do you prefer not to share that bit of information?
  14. I really like the design and color scheme of this pick-up speeder! Everthing seems to come together very nicely except for the rear end, which stands out in color and doesn't seem to flow with the design as well as the rest. I don't know if that was the intent? It almost looks like it was designed as a seperate piece that is supposed to be detacheable, but looking at the pictures i don't think it is. On a seperate note, i must say i'm a big fan of how the 8-wide setting turned out! Even though the seating area is still 6-wide, the extra space around it just makes the vehicle appear less cramped. And in terms of size it still compares well to starfighters and other vehicles, so it works very nicely i think! My compliments for another well designed speeder Bobsy! I'm already looking forward to seeing your next one!
  15. From what i remember from the movies, neither of these two is a true Phase II helmet, it should look like the ARC Trooper one without the fin.
  16. Yeah... I'm wondering what's the main reason that's stopping people from bidding on this auction: the fact that the buy out price is set way higher than the estimated worth of the second/third hand collection, the fact that even a more accurate estimate of the worth is still a sh*t load of money, or the fact that most people (like myself) only really like less than half the sets in the collection.
  17. Thanks for this great review Masked Builder! I've never been a huge fan of the Eta-2 Actis-class interceptor, so i still haven't added this set to my collection. But that doesn't mean i consider it a bad set at all. At the contrary, i think this set packs some nicely designed models and the minifig selection isn't bad either, so i might pick it up if i come across it at an appealing discount.
  18. A very big and well deserved congratulations to all the winners! And well done to the other contestants for the many wonderful high quality entries!
  19. It really does resemble the shape of a teardrop a bit. Well done on the shaping, i love the lines and curves on this one. But the detail that really made me smile was the fact that it opens up to reveal a small cabin behind the cockpit. The updated coloring is an improvement by the way, the all gray did seem just a bit bland.
  20. Thanks for this great review Rufus, and my compliments for the excellent photography. I never considered the minifigs to be anything special, but the model itself is quite well made. It sure is an impressive sight amongst my collection and i'm glad i got it!
  21. It looks great in the brick! And it has a storage space too, you didn't mention that before! That makes it even better
  22. It's a bit quirky, but i like it a lot! I do agree with the comment that when compared with other (official) fighter models, this one can hardly be called a heavy fighter. But it sure looks like a fun model, i hope you're planning to build this one for real!
  23. I did, but i assumed it was a stand-in for another printed piece?
  24. My thoughts exactly! They sure do look a lot like Orcs, so if you really want your own Yuuzhan Vong, these come close enough i think.
  25. Please don't trouble yourself by trying, it really does look great this way too! Eh what?
