Hello everyone,

Finally, the LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 15 has arrived and I have finally get my act together to finish this long awaited review. Well, it actually arrived much earlier but I was also away for my long holiday vacation which resulted in the delay of my launch of this review. I hope the wait for this review is worthwhile and during the ongoing wait, I noticed the new Series 15 has been pretty elusive and was kept under wrap, until recently we seen good images of these new great minifigure designs. It did not exactly leak out like in previous occasions. Good work to TLG for able to keep the suspense for so long.

Before I begin this detailed pictorial review, I would like to give my sincere thanks and deepest appreciation to The LEGO Group (TLG) which include the LEGO CEE and LEGO Collectable Minifigures Design Team for continuing to facilitate and provide me this precious rare opportunity to gain access to this incredible new release which allows me to preview before many others could. It also allows me to have spare time to work, evaluate and review this absolutely amazing LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 15. As a Reviewer, this opportunity is indeed a great honour and I am exceptionally thankful for all the support that you guys have rendered. Till this date, I have completed 18 exhaustive LEGO Pictorial reviews including this current review, solely for the coverage of the LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series / LEGO Minifigures Theme throughout the past five years. No amount of words could explain the excitement that I hold for this continuous reviewing opportunity.

I will like to thank Eurobricks Staff/LEGO Ambassador, CopMike and my entire fellow Eurobricks Staffers for being so helpful to this 'WhiteFang' traditional LEGO Collectable Minifigures (CMFs) reviewing endeavour. I am very glad that this ongoing reviewing project is still being continued after passing half a decade.

I must also thank my beloved wife, Kim/Belun for being supportive throughout this reviewing period! Otherwise, this review would never happen. It is important to have your family and loved ones to support the stuff that you enjoy doing and it also means doing up LEGO pictorial reviews which is no easy feat.

I am truly pleased that I am able to able to continue to share this very special reviewing achievement with all of you. I hope I have not disappointed anyone in this review, if so, I offer my humble apologies and I really hope I can continue to meet your expectations for this exclusive reviewing coverage.

Following Eurobricks tradition, let's do a formal re-cap for all of the past Eurobricks Collectable Minifigures polls once more. It started with a humble beginning of Series 1 followed by Series 2 in the year 2010 and it continue to spread like wildfire with another three strong waves of minifigures craze in the year 2011, putting Series 3, Series 4 and Series 5 in an excellent harvesting year. In the year 2012, we celebrated with Series 6, Series 7 and recent Series 8. With the beginning of year 2013, we have the recent Series 9, Series 10 and Series 11. In 2014, we have seen the LEGO Movie Series, The first LEGO Simpsons Series and Series 12. In 2015, we have the Series 13, LEGO Simpsons Series 2 and Series 14. Now in the coming year of 2016, I would like to invite the Eurobricks Community to cast their votes for this new LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 15 poll statistics as well.

The LEGO Collectable Series 15 main colour schema is pure orange. It resembles the fourth 8804 LEGO Collectable Series 4 colour schema. You could notice the close colour resemblance between both series. I really wonder why did they decide to choose this colour range again? Perhaps, some of the other unused colours might be reserved for other special intended series.

The amazing LEGO Minifigures in this incredible new Series 15

23280706569_e6069df258_o_d.jpg

The LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 15 is slated for estimated worldwide release on 1st January 2016. This new Series 15 excites me greatly and I am extremely happy to see the return of the true original traditional design of LEGO CMFs. Judging from the release in year 2015, there are three releases and only the first release is based on traditional 16 original design, where the rest are allocated to either licensed such as Simpsons or singular minifigures theme such as Halloween for Series 14. I still can't believe that after so many releases, the LEGO CMFs Design Team are able to continue to surprise us with awesome minifigures despite of numerous releases over the years. This Series 15 is equally capable of able to stand on its own merit and to integrate with the past releases of LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series. I am not exactly sure whats in store for the future of the LEGO Minifigures Theme even though we have wide speculation on the upcoming types for future series. There are no doubt that I hold high regards for the LEGO CMFs Design Team and I believe they will continue to surprise us with great designs in the future releases.

IMPORTANT: Please note that the naming for all 16 minifigures that I have use for this review are not official TLG minifigures naming for the LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 15.

Front view comparison with Series 15 and together with all available LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 1 to 14, LEGO Movie, Simpsons 1 and 2 packets

23540043732_b7e82eda10_o_d.jpg

I have placed all 18 different minifigures packets excluding the LEGO Team GB packet. I decided not to include the LEGO Team GB packet as I do not consider it as part of the mainstream even though there are others who may feel differently. From the above display image, you can see an impressive transformation of LEGO CMFs Series 1 to the recent LEGO Series 14, and now to the current Series 15. It is so wonderful to be able to see all of them from a top view. The image taken, from this angle seem to be running out of space and I ought to re-position them in future reviews. The LEGO Minifigures Theme is still a force not to be reckoned with and remains a very strong contender in the TLG product range since 2010.

The new LEGO CMFs Series is labelled according to the traditional numbering. Do note that the number 15, is now placed at the top right corner of the packet which is the usual placement. At the same time, you may notice the re-introduction of the '16 to collect' description from the packaging.

Take a closer look at the following images. This is the front view of the LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 15 packet, while this shows the back view of it. This is an image that shows the back view comparison for all of these packets.

To the regular readers of my LEGO CMFs review, you probably notice that the following paragraph has been mentioned numerous times, because I personally feel this is the most effective method to acquire the highly sought after minifigures without taking any drastic measures. This is the 'same' golden rule, which has been mentioned in my previous reviews. If you are intending to collect the precious and hard-to-find minifigures, please hone your skills for the touch and feel method. It is an important skill to acquire to locate the minifigures that you want without spending too much money to randomly acquire them, especially so when you are intending to buy large quantities. Your sole mission is to memorise and remember the minifigures assortments for each of the specialised designs. Isolate and identify the most unique accessory or accessories for the particular minifigure. From there, eliminate the torso, head and legs and feel for the other parts. The sole disadvantage of this method is that much time would be wasted if the minifigures that you are looking for have been taken from the box. You might also end up with sore numb thumbs after feeling them. However, I personally feel that this approach is the most practical that works the best for me than any other uncommon approaches.

Back view of the LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 15 promotional poster

23020416594_ed88e7b7ce_o_d.jpg

As you flip to the back of the LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 15 promotional poster, you can view a string of random code printed at the back. This code will unlock a 'certain' mysterious character on the LEGO MMORPG (massively multi-player online role-playing game) at LEGO Minifigures Online by going online together with the game code to access it. However, if you look at the top right hand corner of the promotional poster. You will notice a number 12 which I suspect will unlock 'Kendo Master'. For info, I have not played this game before and I think this will appeal to a much younger generation.

I am fond of the additional instruction pamphlet to guide LEGO fans who are not familiar with the fixing of fabric cloth and the placement of wings for the other two minifigures correctly. In this case, the Queen have the white and red robe to put on, the Winged Battle Warrior have the wings and parts to put at the back of the armour and the Winged Mech Warrior as well. It is a simple illustration to make sure you do it correctly.

1) The Farmer

23622456826_b6cefe7f38_o_d.jpg

Without further ado, let's bring out the first Series 15 minifigure and is none other than our friendly Farmer. I am very happy to see an improved version of this farmer. Few years ago, there was a release of Farm under the LEGO City sub theme and I enjoyed the idea to see a different variant of doing City stuff in the sub-urban areas such as farm environment. The first Farmer of this similar variant came from the 7566 Farmer which was released under the impulse set series. Now, we are able to see this combination again together with the re-introduction of pig. The newer design is a much significant improvement to the earlier predecessor. Thus, I foresee that this minifigure will be highly sought for.

Parts assortment

23020358004_15f028e050_o_d.jpg

The parts assortment for the Farmer is outstanding. The focus for this minifigure is the re-introduction of the pig mould. Although the design of this pig mould is the same as previous inclusion but the key difference is the spot print to create different variants based on the vanilla pig design. The pig is an excellent farm animal and it can be used for either medieval or modern settings. The usage for the pig is tremendous and the fact that is a full scale animal give more plus points for this combination. The Farmer comes with very good parts such as the useful hay-fork and scarecrow wide brim hat equivalent which is far better than the normal cap. He also comes with excellent printing which can be seen from his back view and side view which is very impressive from the torso to the legs with different colour tones.

2) The Astronaut

23539949492_7d51b12ec2_o_d.jpg

Three cheers for Classic Space! This is a treat for LEGO Classic Space fans. The new Astronaut may have appeared in various variants in past LEGO City Themes such as Space Port but this new design is actually paying homage to Classic Space Astronauts. The design is modern and not futuristic looking and is also adequately equipped with essential kit and gauges to ensure survivability in deep space. We may have seen many different Astronaut designs but this new design is special as we can associate it in modern times. I like how this minifigure is put together and we can just pose the Astronaut marching onto an unknown planet to place his flag.

Parts assortment

23280564519_738d69b3ef_o_d.jpg

The parts assortment is above average. I like this design very much and the parts are adequate to place the Astronaut for a space mission with his oxygen tank, helmet with golden visor and detailed prints on his torso and legs. The notable accessory is the introduction of the dual printed Classic Space flag. To me, that is a game changer. You don't get a walkie-talkie, detector or some common space kit. You get an actual printed flag where is a very useful part for putting it in your Classic Space collection or even other spaceship to identify from others. Furthermore, the printing from the side view with the Classic Space emblem on one side is truly impressive detail. Do note there is no back print as observed from the back view.

3) The Grim Knight

23352813200_7d3c31669f_o_d.jpg

This is my favourite minifigure and it is the Grim Knight. I know many others address it as 'Scary Knight' but somehow I prefer to name it as the Grim Knight and I took reference from my first Eurobricks Mafia Game - Mystery Castle in 2008. This is an awesome treat for all LEGO Castle fans and army builders. I am excited by this minifigure and this is not your regular castle minifigure in typical red, blue, white and black outfit. Instead, it took the dark green as the colour schema and pretty similar with the Hobbit minifigure character: Dwalin. This new Knight is an excellent customisation parts to be used for fleshie armies or generals due to the lack of yellow neck print. You can easily form a new villain faction known as the 'Silver Bear Army'. I supposed I will have tremendous fun with this minifigure and will be searching high and low for this awesome minifigure. I am bias to this design as I am largely a Castle fan and you can't get a nice villain generic looking character for your playing.

Parts assortment

23566075321_8fa67c3207_o_d.jpg

The parts assortment for the Grim Knight is outstanding. Based on piece count, TLG is rather generous to include various essentials including a dark green plum. Upon revealing the nice fortified great helmet, you noticed a rather nasty looking appearance of the Grim Knight. The spiked pauldron is a surprising addition. So far, it only appears once in a different colour in the 7569 Desert Attack and I prefer the dark metal gun grey spiked pauldron very much. The Kite Shield is equally amazing as was first introduced in Series 13: Egyptian Warrior. It is very verstaile as it can inverse and designed for different aspect based on this comparison. The newly design spike mace is made up of two different parts and is much better and sturdy looking than the frail looking mace in earlier designs. The printing is very impressive and upon closer inspection from the side view, it revealed armoured vambrace at his arms. There are also back printing which can be observed from his back view. This is truly an outstanding design for LEGO Castle fans.

4) The Clumsy Guy

23021423833_9b6bc91a6c_o_d.jpg

We have doctors and nurses in hospital and now there is finally a patient for us to treat. In this case, this is a Clumsy Guy who is rather careless and fell after stepping onto a banana peel. This is what I suspect based on the intriguing design of this tee shirt. This is a pretty good minifigure and fulfill the condition of how an injured patient could probably look like upon injuring his head and leg. It is quite a nice civilian looking minifigure in an injured state and it could easily exchange between parts and sort them into various useful accessories such as the head bandage, injured face and leg in cast. It is quite a comic relief to be able to see this new design and breathe freshness into LEGO City.

Parts assortment

23622397126_ec8b8a795f_o_d.jpg

The parts assortment is above average. The accessories are good especially the accurate design of the new clutches. Those are real awesome support for patients to move about in their injured state. The leg cast print is very funny as well with those 'get well' and funny messages at the front of the leg cast and side of the leg cast. He does look rather pitiful in his injured state and lots of extra attention need to be given to nurse his wounds. Do note there is no back print as observed from the back view.

5) The Tribal Woman

23352763070_213cdd7024_o_d.jpg

This is a nice addition to the Tribal Family. I wasn't too excited in the first place with regards to the design as it was a mere tribal civilian to be added. I was mistaken of her role and noted that she was a caring Tribal Woman who look after the young within the tribe. The key highlight for this minifigure is definitely the first LEGO baby in history. This is where the LEGO minfigures look like when they are infant and it is a minifigure breakthrough to see the natural cycle. I have also noted that this is the first female design for the Tribal Family which is pretty nice.

Parts assortment

23566023951_419ed49450_o_d.jpg

The parts assortment is above average and the superb thing is the introduction of the baby. It is very generic looking and can be used for all sorts of LEGO eras in your settings. The LEGO baby can be placed at the back of the mother with this accessory holder. I suspect many people will be fond of this character for the fact of wanting to own that baby. Perhaps, one day we could see this baby appearing in other LEGO official sets in the future. You can view the nice print from the side view. Do note there is no back print as observed from the back view.

6) The Winged Battle Warrior

23352553360_99c3c1cf19_o_d.jpg

This is a real awesome outstanding minifigure. The Winged Battle Warrior is quite a hot favourite among many due to the glittering gold armoured outfit with his soaring majestic wings. This design is suited like a group of well trained winged warrior sent by God or guarding some mythical places. I am extremely fond of the overall armoured pearl gold design which is given a human male warrior appearance. It is an excellent minifigure design which I suspect will be popular among army builders including myself where this will pair well with the search of Grim Knight. In a heartbeat, I probably would amass lots of it to build up an army. I wonder who else is thinking the same way as me.

Parts assortment

23020249284_9c9c406010_o_d.jpg

The parts assortment is very good for this Winged Battle Warrior. I like how they made use of the Legends of Chima: Eagle and Phoenix tribes to allow this minifigure to gain aerial capability. This gold winged armour is not a brand new part and it was first used by Fluminox. The wings are matched with the overall colour schema and is fitted well from the clips behind. Upon removing the gold winged armour, you can see the magnificent golden torso with the breastplate design printed. You can view the minifigure from the side view. Do note there is no back print as observed from the back view.

7) The Satyr

23352714220_c616be6fc1_o_d.jpg

This is certainly will be one of the popular characters in this series. The friendly Satyr is one of the highly anticipated minifigures among the discussion. He is a half male and half goat which exist in the Greek and Roman mythology. It received warm welcome and reception for the introduction of this minifigure design. It is not designed as a warrior but more like a fairy tale character. I am pretty excited about this minifigure as I could modify them accordingly to create new usage for the minifigures variants.

Parts assortment

23280449999_d4450e943f_o_d.jpg

The parts assortment is average. It only include a flute for his accessory. However, the main focus could be the Satyr's legs. This is one of the few design attempts to create another different variations from the usual standard minfigure legs. There were lots of hype in this new part and some people are wildly speculating that it could also be part of a certain LEGO Disney character in the future. Time will tell on how true this will be. You can view closer detail of the Satyr from the side view. Do note there is no back print as observed from the back view.

8) The Animal Ranger

23352694210_9224d17653_o_d.jpg

Next in line, is the introduction of the Animal Ranger. Her role is to focus animal conservation and helping other animals in distress. Do not be mistaken of the large net that she is holding. It is not meant for capturing the animal but merely using it to transport them from one place to another. Thus, this uniformed Animal Ranger is quite a fine design in her green outfit. I supposed this could be quite a popular minifigure among children especially with the brand new skunk. I like the fact that it come with a full scale animal similar to the pig under the Farmer combination.

Parts assortment

23648377475_061f3880c9_o_d.jpg

The parts assortment is excellent. I don't recall seeing a large net before and strongly believed is a new accessory. The minifigure came with a brilliant alternate facial appearance which depict her uncomfortable look upon catching the skunk. The introduction of the brand new animal is the highlight to me. The skunk is well molded piece of animal with nice detailed printing that could clearly identified the looks of a skunk instead of a squirrel. It was a nice surprise for me as I noted that there is a printed badge which is similar like a raccoon which is visibly seen at her arm. You can view closer detail of the Animal Ranger from the side view. Do note there is no back print as observed from the back view.

9) The Janitor

23021299093_8d1f716b06_o_d.jpg

The Janitor design is rather spot on and accurate. It is a thankless job and I appreciate the designer to include this nice fellow into this series where we can use it for LEGO City or school setting. It is nice to see such a realistic design based on our day-to-day life. He can maintain the stoic looking bushy appearance despite of the dirt on his dull grey uniform. Though I can't quite make out from the name badge, but I am very sure it is reference to one of the fun facts on the designers. My eyesight is not doing too well which is why I am unable to identify the name of this Janitor.

Parts assortment

23021295333_9fa0293984_o_d.jpg

The parts assortment for the Janitor is average. I like the new mop design very much. It is made up of two parts and can be easily put together. This may not be as popular as the rest of the minifigures but I am sure you will definitely need a few Janitors around to keep the place clean. You can view closer detail of the Janitor from the side view. Do note there is no back print as observed from the back view.

10) The Ballerina

23622256766_8487f5d34e_o_d.jpg

Little young girls are going to be crazy over this pretty and sweet Ballerina. It's the sweet factor that will appeal to many. Her elegant appearance in her ballet outfit will inspire those who like to take ballet or currently pursuing ballet. This minifigure will make a fine gift. I am confident this is certainly going to be quite receptive. Her outfit can be easily identified as a ballet dancer and I am sure we are able to see LEGO musical boxes with her standing there for performance with surrounding music.

Parts assortment

23648330085_8c2663bb31_o_d.jpg

The parts assortment is average. There are no visible accessory but the ballerina skirting is a highlight. It is made up of solid ABS plastic and fitted nicely at the legs. The hairdo is filled with glittering flowers which made the design much appealing. You can take a closer look at the side view where you can noticed the leggings printed at the side of the leg. On top of that, there is nice printing of her dress which is visible from the back view.

11) The Winged Mech Warrior

23280366779_512418c2dc_o_d.jpg

LEGO Deep Space has a new Winged Mech Warrior and is much sleek and cooler than their predecessors due to the black, light blue and silver colour combination. I am not quite sure if this minifigure is intend to take on the good or bad side. I had taken the liberty to label this Mech Warrior fighting for the good. This Winged Mech Warrior is a much better design especially with the bright blue wings which has appeared for the first time. Overall, I find this Winged Mech Warrior reminds me of Tron upon removing the armour. I think this is a good idea to use it to design Tron minifigures.

Parts assortment

23020134134_12c92e2bc9_o_d.jpg

The parts assortment is pretty good. I find the parts are very good due to the inclusion of the newly designed mech wings. It has a nice silhouette on the trans-blue design with black lines to outline the shape. The blue blade is definitely from the Ninjago: The Final Battle and is part of Jay's elemental lightning blade. By turning to the back, you can see the dual rods that could enable the trans-blue wings to be placed. You can see the full winged detail from the back view and side view.

12) The Kendo Master

23352598090_ee7b93487c_o_d.jpg

In this series, we get a new sports character and he referred to as the Kendo Master. Kendo is a modern Japanese martial art, which descended from swordsmanship (kenjutsu) and uses bamboo swords and protective armour. Today, it is widely practiced within Japan and many other nations across the world. It is an activity that combines martial arts practices and values with strenuous sport-like physical activity. It is nice to see such a design being seen in a minifigure format. I don't quite like the accuracy of this design though. The helmet is spot on but the uniform look somehow a little bare even though the colour is appropriate. Kendo did appear in LEGO Ninjago at earlier stages and booster pack such as the 9551 Kendo Cole. The mold is the same but this time, it has better colour matching unlike before. I will prefer this Kendo version over the Ninjago version.

Parts assortment

23280335209_228b025ca9_o_d.jpg

The parts assortment is average. Apart from the nice helmet, there is nothing much to highlight significantly. The bamboo swords are duplicate of the existing LEGO katanas weapon in a wooden colour. I was hoping for the actual bamboo sword design though. Upon removing the helmet, you can see the stern appearance with his blue sash at his forehead. I will have some use for the head for my Ninja and Samurai collection. You can take a closer look at the side view and back view. Do note there is no printing other than the front.

13) The Shark Suit Guy

23648266035_1fac0414e9_o_d.jpg

Three cheers for more costume characters! This will be the minifigure that is buzzing all LEGO fans. I am very confident everyone will be looking for this minifigure and it will be plentiful for everyone to get it. You will understand in the latter part of the review. I am elated that the LEGO costume characters is expanding and encompass different characters. This Shark Suit Guy is suitable for deploying onto aquatic centres, carnivals, parks, etc. Let's not send this Shark Suit Guy to conduct some pranks though. I will expect all sorts of fun and possibilities to mess around with this character. In the future, I look forward to see more new costume characters.

Parts assortment

23352572020_965eda48b2_o_d.jpg

The parts assortment is average, but the main focal is the entire design of this shark costume suit. The surprising thing about this character is the inclusion of an alternate facial appearance and he look very fearful of something coming towards him. I wonder what could that be. I also placed the LEGO shark side by side with this character to show the accuracy of this design. The design is nicely articulated with the fins, grills and the arms are real fantastic. You can see detailed view of this marvel costume suit from the side view and back view.

14) The Wrestling Champion

23020552164_5d41d04fe9_o_d.jpg

Isn't he looks like the Ultimate Warrior? There are some degree of resemeblance though and it looks more competition for wrestling fans. It is quite a nice variant of a new wrestling character but I am not exactly fond of this. The design stay true to how a professional wrestler will look like and this fellow is the Wrestling Champion as you can see it very clearly that his championship belt indicate his number one. I am sure there are others who liked this minifigure but this does not work well for me.

Parts assortment

23622644856_ca53149b46_o_d.jpg

The parts assortment is below average. I recall seeing that pearl gold trophy around and is not exactly a new part either. The hairpiece is pretty ruggard looking and I probably use it for my Barbarians minifigures. The good thing about this design is the all rounded printing on this minifigure which is visible from his side view and back view.

15) The Jewel Thief

23020530194_a1c10d722b_o_d.jpg

Ever want to pull a heist with this beautiful Jewel Thief? This is a very well designed female minifigure which emulate a Cat Thief. It's not exactly Catwoman but is the original LEGO Jewel Thief design. I like how the designers put this minifigure into a classy looking lady in her black jumpsuit with the shiny diamond in her hand. I expect this minifigure to be quite receptive as well and I could not mind to get more of these, for the parts.

Parts assortment

23566277431_8189170f65_o_d.jpg

The parts assortment is average and is made up of common parts for the diamond and the rope launcher. I like the overall design including the facial appearance. The hairpiece is the same as Black Widow and I prefer this new black colour instead. There are no printing from the side view and back view.

16) The Queen

23353006680_786232044d_o_d.jpg

This is the last minifigure in Series 15 and it is the gorgeous beautiful Queen. This Queen is a design breakthrough. Never did I expect to see a Queen in this large skirt torso format. I did expect a Queen to accompany the Series 13: King and this new Queen design is a very nice representation. I really wonder if the design of this torso will be for certain LEGO Disney princesses in the near future? I am sure you guys are speculating on this part as well. I rated this minifigure highly in terms of design aspect and I felt this is a highly acclaimed female minifigure and the print is just outstanding. What more can I expect and this has certainly raised the standard of Queen design unlike the regular usage of skirt torso.

Parts assortment

23648684505_f38b09610a_o_d.jpg

The parts assortment is outstanding, especially with the royal fabric cloth which was used in the King in Series 13. It is meant to complement and match one another. The one-piece newly design minifigure wide skirt is just amazing. I can simply imagine how nice it could fit in future designs. Not to fret, this minifigure is the most easiest to locate due to the big one-piece minifigure wide skirt. The hairpiece allow the Queen crown to place nicely on top of it. You can view the nice details from the back view and side view. This is a side view of the Queen without the royal cap and this is the bottom view which you can take a careful look of the clutch design.

Based on the above distribution, I have managed to achieve only three full complete sets of 16 one-of-a kind minifigures each. It means I will have 12 spares left. Read below to find out what are the remaining spares I have.

My remaining spares

0 Farmers

1 Astronauts

1 Grim Knights

2 Clumsy Guys

0 Tribal Women

1 Winged Battle Warriors

1 Satyrs

0 Animal Rangers

1 Janitors

0 Ballerinas

0 Winged Mech Warriors

2 Kendo Masters

2 Shark Suit Guys

1 Wrestling Champions

0 Jewel Thieves

0 Queens

Data Analysis

Given the above data which I have compiled and received, I have indicated my comprehensive analysis based on my individual viewpoint. By buying one full complete MISB box, it will allow you to achieve three complete sets. Ever since the significant shift of the distribution ratio in LEGO Minifigures - The Simpsons, TLG has return to the LEGO consumers the traditional three complete sets. The ongoing LEGO CMFs Series 15 has continued with this desirable ratio of having three full sets in a sealed box of 60. I am extremely pleased with this outcome.

I feel the appeals of these minifigures have achieved a brand new desriable level despite the restrictions and limitations which the LEGO CMFs Design Team has to work with. The LEGO CMFs Design Team's best judgement is based on the support of market research data and probably parts per piece count manufacturing process in order to determine the distribution ratio.

As you have noticed from the given distribution ratio, the minifigures which we normally need to obtain just a few are given the distribution ratio of three such as the Ballerina, Jewel Thief and Queen. While Animal Ranger, Farmer are accompanied with a full scale animal and the Tribal Woman is accompanied with a LEGO baby are given in the distribution ratio of three. I was hoping it would be in the count of distribution ratio of four though. I could definitely swap it with Wrestling Champion, Satyr and Janitor over the earlier mentioned minifigures. The Winged Mech Robot is in the range of three as well, but normally space are not in huge demand unlike medieval minifigures. I could be wrong and we will see how receptive these minifigures will be in the open market. I am extremely pleased to note that Grim Knights and Winged Battled Warriors are in a distribution ratio of four. I would love to see them in the range of five though and this will definitely appeal greatly to army builders. I will definitely amass a large number of them whenever possible. The Astronaut is a nice surprise and is quite a balance to put it in the range of four. The remaining minifigure of distribution ratio of five is with Clumsy Guy, Kendo Master and Shark Suit Guy. The biggest game changer is the Shark Suit Guy. I am extremely surprised and elated to note the most popular minifigure as perceived like all other costumed characters like the Series 13 Unicorn Girl and Hot Dog Guy which are very hard to come by or even locating them in the wild. Thus, by putting the most popular perceived character in the distribution ratio of five, it will definitely make lots of LEGO fans very happy. Ultimately, I am extremely satisfied with this distribution arrangement with a slight disappointment of not including any one of the two army building characters under the distribution ratio of five.

To conclude and summaries, based on the probability demonstrated by this review, as an example, here are the results,

High probability

1) Clumsy Guys

2) Kendo Masters

3) Shark Suit Guys

Total range: 25%

Each: 8.33%

Medium probability

1) Astronauts

2) Grim Knights

3) Winged Battle Warriors

4) Satyrs

5) Janitors

6) Wrestling Champions

Total range: 40%

Each: 6.67%

Low probability

1) Farmers

2) Tribal Women

3) Animal Rangers

4) Ballerinas

5) Winged Mech Warriors

6) Jewel Thieves

7) Queens

Total range: 35%

Each 5%

I am extremely glad to see the return of traditional LEGO Collectable Minifigure Series

23648643885_b2b8de5f88_o_d.jpg

The LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 15 will be launching on the 1st January 2016 (worldwide)

23352962770_a220944c95_o_d.jpg

To conclude, the LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 15 has once again surprised us with another new level of creativity in design. I am very happy to see this original traditional series and not reverting to the licensed or singular series. Traditional LEGO CMFs series appeal widely to masses and I know for certain that TLG is not really intending to focus on the traditional stuff anymore. I could sense there is a shift in their marketing and design approach. I am not exactly sure if this will be good or bad in the long run, but only time will tell if the change in the LEGO CMFs will sustain and continue to appeal to many. It is no easy challenge to be able to create, design and introduce many new creative and original designs to attract to the masses. The LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series or known as LEGO Minifigures Theme is an unique commanding class of their own, which distinguish themselves from regular LEGO Theme or special releases. Instead, everything that you have seen in a single released series is all based on the 16 minifigures to reach out to fans, children, adults and collectors of LEGO. It has been a very long tradition and yet they are able to retain the charm and excitement, until today.

Now with a total of 289 minifigures released for the entire Series 1 to 14, the recent LEGO Movie Series, LEGO Simpsons Series 1 to 2 and the current LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 15, not including Mr. Gold which unfortunately I do not have the blessings or lucky stars to own it till this date, and the special exclusive Toy Soldier and Zombie Skateboarder minifigures that can only be obtained through The Minifigures Character Encyclopedia books respectively. At this rate that it continue to release, I wonder how many of us need to upgrade the display shelving area to accommodate for future expansion. For myself, I don't have the space to display all of them anymore until further notice.

With this upcoming LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 15, what more exciting new series will TLG have for us. Only time will tell and let's be patient about it. I am confident that it will be worth the wait.

Please note that the The LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 15 do not contain the placement of LEGO spare parts/accessories. This was practiced since the start of LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 3.

Summary review

Playability: 9/10 (New and old minifigure designs that can be integrated across many new and existing themes/settings.)

Design: 9/10 (Excellent detailed printing with decent new accessories.)

Price: 8/10 (I hope pricing will remain the same and not facing any increase for this new Series 15, otherwise it will hurt my wallet badly.)

Overall: 8.7/10 (Prepare yourself for this unprecedented new Series 15 and may you can get the ones that you want most! I know for sure what I am going to search for.)

I gave it a "5" based on my Review Score Card. What about yours?

I hope everyone of you enjoyed reading this simple review of mine. Comments and Criticisms are welcomed.

There's a couple parts breakdowns that show the wrong bits, (wrestler and ballerina) but a nice looking series.

Definitely a couple I may have to look for.

I'm surprised and pleased to see the Queen's skirt piece attach to the torso with the same tall studs used on the standard legs. That's a huge improvement even if it still allows no articulation. She's just beautiful.

Very nice review. I did notice with the Satyr, you say it's half man, half horse. Wrong. Satyr is half man, half goat... But that's the only nitpick I have, awesome review! Really love the knight, satyr, winged warrior and tribal woman

Yes, I have already amended it earlier. Thanks for pointing out.

Indeed, I suspect is due to the cost of the mold for producing a full scale LEGO animal.

Can't wait to see these figs in sale :) Very nice review besides :)

In last vote selection needed to mention choice of neutral, because for me it's not very important, does minifigs belong to one theme or it is classic collection, both of that is awesome :)

It's funny you should say it is the "the minifigures which we normally need to obtain just a few are given the distribution ratio of three". It is all the female figures that are given a distribution of three.

You also say this about the satyr's legs: "It's the first of its kind to be ever created from the usual standard minfigure legs." This is not true. There are the pirate legs and the robot legs that also deviate from the standard minifigure legs.

Thank you WF for doing this once again, always the Highlight to read your CMF reviews. :sweet::thumbup:

The series, one f the be so far, IMO. Almost every fig in some way is awesome and useful.

I think this will be the first series where I will almost collect every fig and put the out for display not just parts.

Some many new, cool and useful parts in this series, Queen and her dress, Skunk-animal, Mullet hair etc.

This series will really hurt my wallet :sceptic::tongue:
