Another digital MOC commission, done for lovely ghost-mantis! This time it’s Akida and Ikir, and I am very proud how they came out. Ikir’s wings actually follow the anatomy of real avians, and are properly foldable! --- Now folks remember, if you like what I do and you want to see me create your OC, a favorite Bionicle Character, or something else, feel free to look up my Commission Info!

Another digital MOC commission, done for lovely ghost-mantis! She commissioned me to do my revisions of two of her favorite Elemental Creatures - Uxar and Ketar. As you all can see, I took a very drastic approach. They do not look anything like their sets, and both me and Ghost-Mantis are okay with that. I made Uxar to look like both a moth and a dragonfly, with fluffy body and long tail. As for Ketar, I just made him a scorpion which he supposed to represent. I am quite proud of this segmented back and organic pincer design. (all images are clickable, as usual) --- Now folks remember, if you like what I do and you want to see me create your OC, a favorite Bionicle Character, or something else, feel free to look up my Commission Info!

I longed to make a MOC of my favorite OC anti-hero. And now, thanks to New Years which brought us Darth Vader, me and Demitsorou finally managed to tear almost all of our Bionicle sets apart to assemble him. Master of Pain by Artemiy Karpinskiy, on Flickr Kahlahnee is an OC of mine, a cursed Toa of Ice hailing from the twisted realm of Karzahni. Its ruler have crafted a powerful Mask of Suffering as a punishment for Kahlahnee's uncontrollable violent outbursts, which were the reason he's been sent to Karzahni in the first place. His weapon is a baseball bat. Don't ask me why.

When Lego sent out the 24 karat gold mask prizes, they sent brick built stands with them, for ease of display. The recipient of the 24 karat gold mask of earth (not me) uploaded a video on youtube of how to make that stand. After I found it, I ordered the pieces for three of them (I've only received the pieces for two so far), as well as some other pieces so I could make some alterations to the original design. (I don't know how to embed it, but I'd like to), but just so you know, two of the steps are out of order somewhere in the middle, where it shows one step with a half bush, and the next step doesn't have it. The alterations I made are that I put a 2x2 round plate under each grated parabola that matches the color of that parabola (to stop them from spinning), and I put a pin (mine were friction, but I'm not sure that matters) in the spot where the mask attaches in order to make that hole smaller, which makes the mask very unlikely to tilt down on the stand. An added advantage to the 2x2 round plates is that the bottoms of them meet when they're put on the stand, so it reduces the pressure applied to the parabolas during construction. We may not all have been able to get the 24 karat gold masks, but now we can use the stands they came with.

So, RaySkull's "Bionicle Protector Alternate Builds" thread has proven to be pretty popular. So, I thought it'd be neat to have a similar thread, but for modified Toa! Feel free to share photos of your modified Gen2 Toa in this thread, along with relevant building techniques and ideas. So, I'll start this off by showing off my modified Lewa. This was made to answer mine and a friend's question of how Lewa would look with a transparent colour in his scheme. Push came to shove, and more changes were made! So yes, Talons! Those are inspired by some concept art for TMoL in which Lewa Nuva had talons, presumably for perching on tree branches. And the pink thorns? I wanted to emphasise Lewa's new-found control of plantlife in a unique way, but also wanted to break up the colour scheme a bit more. Oh, and his gearbox is a notch lower, so he can move his head. And now, some photos of him in adrenaline mode!
