I really shouldn't have come back on this forum, it gave me too many ideas (and frustrations because not having the required pieces to make them). Nevertheless, I managed to build this old...ish house. It's not intende to be anything particular, but I wanted to try a few things before I remake my London bus scenery. The roof gave me a few problems. I initially wanted to have two slopes matching the cut of the corner, but the build was far too fragile, so I went for a simpler build. I spent all my newly-acquired 2x1 flat dark grey tiles in the process (thought I had taken more at the Lego Shop) Front view of the house. I'm still missing a couple of 2x1 flat tiles for the door hinges Left side. I stole the idea of the tree from the Jack the ripper MOC Left side: My collection also suffers from a terrible lack in windows... Top view of the model

The vignette sat for a few years on my shelf, but a few weeks ago, I found some pieces that could fit in a backyard sale, so I thought I could expand it... http://skro.hellabeth.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/img_1474-e1532199257426.jpg[/img] main view of the set leaving the shore The water is good, you should come! top view (from the backyard sale came the second windsurf, the dinghy and the palm tree)

(considering that the girl doesn't look like very in distress on the box art, let's consider the case closed and move on to the main point) So what rank can have a soldier with white epaulettes and no shako? Why not simply sargeant or corporal? It's not like it would be some kind of mexican army with only colonels and soldiers... Oh wait, it could...

If I may, I'd rather use transparent green/blue tiles for healing effect. It must be a bad MMO/RPG habit where healing potions and life bars are blue or green. Moreover, trans yellow would better suit to some sort of light magic. I really like the shape of the effect, though...

That's the Beach Bandit, that had also a wonderful dampered wheelbase. (fun fact, the windsurfer is actually the old minifigure from the same set, just with new hair)

A few weeks ago, there were thans-blue 1x1 round tiles and trans-clear cheese slopes in my "local" Lego Store. And as a matter of fact, I wanted to create a vignette for the old windsurf I got when I was a kid, and that I brought back from my parents' last year. So here it is: (click on the images for larger size)

Moe's Tavern and Kwik-E Mart are actually the most iconic buildings... But I'd also see a featurette like Homer's workstation (or a bigger scene with a coffe machine, Lenny and Carl), or Mr Burns' office (with Smitters, the videosurveillance system and a couple of trap-doors) And why not Bart's Tree-house.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 12 Rumours and Discussion
Skro replied to Rufus's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Battle Goddess is just amazing. Considering the dino-huntress, i must say the legs and torso would quite fit in a jungle environment, either in a war-like scene or an exploring scene. That said, I reckon there's not much "dino-ish" in there (except if they added a mini-dino of sort, which is not on the picture...)- 1109 replies

First attempt for a mini-modular, with the Lego Studios (yes, the ones where Lego Steven Spielberg shoots his movies ;) ): No picture from the back, as it is basically a plain white wall. And sorry avout the non-standard connector: I don't have the right bricks (yet?) in stock²... ² or at least in the right color.

Just for the record, Steven Spielberg's minifig has already been released, in the 90es Lego Studio set:
