  1. That's a nice Gotal build. The speeder is cool too. Just hope there's enough space for the Herglic, there.
  2. Just around the river bend?

    [S15-Scarif-TT] Festive Fun

In-cannon it would be Merry Life Day, of course.
  5. *Your entry has earned 2 XP* Well eventually I guess I managed to annoy some powerful people, because they had me promoted out of the Triumvirate heartlands, and off onto a quiet rock several quadrants away. But it seems like I also managed to impress some other powerful people, because the rock in question was Scarif. Of all the places an old Imperial like me wants to be stationed, Scarif has to rank pretty highly. Yes, it doesn't exactly have the nightlife. But it does have sun, sea, sand and cocktails. And those will get you a long way!

    [S15 - Scarif - TT] Happy Holidays!

It's actually Lurtz from the Isengard set, I think. That said, I'm more proud of the budgie smugglers from the skiff guard fig. Happy that you like it though. Merry Christmas! @marvelBoy123 looking forward to it!

[Q12 - Nixor - TT] Spaceports and Landspeeders

The more I look at that Stormtrooper on the computer, the more I love it. You can almost see the scowl in the helmet. "Why are you bothering me?" It's brilliant. And the old-school monitor and screen really set it off nicely.
  9. Join the club. What are the odds?

Are you able to make the images display as images rather than links? It's a neat series of builds. Really liking your style. What's the deal with the decorative elements in the last scene? Are they customs?
  11. Yup. Should've built that temple sooner.
  12. No trophy for me this year. Probably for the best. Hosting a football tournament within a working prison wouldn't have been the easiest thing in the world... Thanks @Darnok for the compelling commentary. Always a giggle!

@Ayrlego Thanks! Yours is a much more traditional temple, and perfectly executed.
  14. Really neatly done. I love it!

[OL - FB] Celeste Dupré pens a letter

Letter from Duchess Celeste Dupré to Berart Mazan, Duc de Boussac, dated 16 December, 619. My darling Berart, It is my great pleasure to invite you to the coming-of-age ceremony of my younger son, Hercule Dupré (named for his maternal uncle). He is a big fan of yours, and I was hoping you could do us the great honour of conferring his rank as the of Baron of Boudenelles as part of the festivities? It's only a minor family title, I know, but he is so very fond of you. The job would normally fall to his spiritual guardian, but when his paternal uncle eloped with that milkmaid last year, it put us in a bit of a bind. I have a brother in the service who would do the job splendidly, but he is off on the Brick Seas playing football or being made a Canon or something, and can't make it back in time. I just know he would love to have you with us on the day. Please do RSVP as soon as you can. Let us know how many guests you would like to bring. Love, Celeste, Duchess Dupré This is my formal request for a promotion for the Abbé François. It's over a year since I asked for his last one. Since then he has celebrated Merrymorn, found the weapon of Zeus, built a treasury for it, built a fort, been imprisoned in that fort, raised money for the church roof, built a temple of Poseidon on heathen shores, and listened to stories of the Great Alliance States. This promotion would make him a Canon, in line with the Baronetcy that his nephew would inherit.
  17. Will there be a Merrynight mini-challenge again this year?
  18. @Bodi I'm sure. In fact, I think he's due a promotion. It's been over a year since his last one...
  19. Well, I'm not totally shocked that I lost both games in the Mesabi Landing BTSC.

  23. *Your entry has earned 3 XP (x2 for limited challenge)* I was in two minds about taking Lu'vel along on my next mission. On the one hand, she was an unknown quantity; someone who had no particular loyalty to me or my allies, whose skills and experience were unclear. Hell, I wasn't even truly sure she *wanted* to come along. But on the other hand, I didn't want to just leave her back at the shuttle. What sort of a crappy life is that? Moving from one world to another without really experiencing any of them. I figured the only way to figure out her talents and loyalties was to hand her a couple of blasters and see what happened. Better men than me have died from making decisions like that. But, frankly, I'd rather meet my end at the hands of a beautiful woman on an exotic world than from some painful disease or an angry superior officer. Unfortunately, we weren't on an exotic world. We were on Nixor, which was even more of a toilet bowl back in the day than it is now. And we were there to resolve a labour dispute with a trade union - about the most tedious, frustrating kind of job I've ever had to handle. I felt guilty for just inflicting that on the girl. Perhaps she would've preferred to stay with the ship? Or go off shopping? I hadn't yet sorted out her wage at that point. In the end, it was clear that the unions of Nixor were never going to agree between themselves what their demands were, never mind allow us to negotiate them. And since a united group of people with a grievance is the perfect seed point for a rebel cell, something had to be done. With sign-off from control, I set about removing the Union bosses from the table, one by one. And I must say, Lu'vel was a fairly decent spotter; innocuous enough that no-one gave her a second thought, but clear and concise in her information. With her help I was able to wrap up the situation rather cleanly. With Nixor under my belt, it was time to move on. So, it seems scratch-building vehicles definitely isn't my forté. The current Episode should be interesting. The thing I'm proudest of is getting a believable-looking sniper pose. I'll be using that again in the future...

@MKJoshA Yup, I completely agree. It's too much.
