  1. Out of sheer curiosity, would you say that the TECHNIC aspects of the build/design chassis were sufficiently advanced to engage a semi-seasoned fan of such sets? I'm looking for a moderately expensive gift idea for a certain kid, who, as far as I understand, does not peruse EB. :P I'd like to surprise him to as great of a degree as is possible, so I'm hoping to come out of left field on this one, so to speak. Thanks! I would have tentatively planned on picking up 75251 before the year's end, but I might end up simply picking up a Porg for myself; one is certainly much cheaper than its counterpart... :- )
  2. No, you're absolutely correct; I would say that the majority of the user base here is going to feel comfortable skipping past a 191 - piece playset, irrespective of the possible PT, OT, or ST designation. And I didn't mean to click "post"/"save". My mistake, sir. :P
  3. As I have touched on in the past, 75236 is amassing/accruing the majority of this confusion/uncertainty as a result of two disparate - very disparate - retail profiles that cite two of the largest stateside sources for this sort of thing. I still have reason to believe that a Slave I will be included (something that both @Tidy and myself have seen the pertinent evidence for); that being what it is, the only bits that we can implicitly and unwaveringly hold as credible "facts" are as follows: that it will be coming in January, and that it will not, in fact, be a Juniors/4+ kit, despite the numbering scheme that TLG has set it within. Why is it 75236, and not 75238 or 75239? I can't say, though I would speculate - with the key word at play here as the latter verb "speculate" - that the change to set 75236 as a 4+ kit occurred well after the decision to make 75237 and 75247 a pair of 4+ kits was made. With 75236 as a standard 6-12 playset, only three 4+ kits exist. :) This is correct; I don't pretend or endeavor to have sourced these lists from some ulterior, hidden benefactor... Some of this is from Walmart, some from Target, some from TRU Canada, and yes, some is from the immaculate @Sir von Lego. Individual sources are, as per usual, available for perusal upon request. I would add that the 6-12 nature of "R vs. K" is also absolute/definitive at this particular juncture. Not a 4+ kit, as I initially believed.

  5. It is possible - I'm not certain of this - that Brickheadz kits will be integrated into the traditional numbering schemes that were set for certain themes in 2013, as the Juniors line is doing the same next year. I don't know this for a fact, but it would seem to be a logical step forward for the theme.

  7. Check your PMs. And man, thanks; I'm glad to be back around as well! The UPC was a typo. Yeah, no, I'm not talking about Amazon.co.uk or any other EU Amazon .tld in this case.
  8. Check your PMs. And man, thanks; I'm glad to be back around!
  9. 75236 is indeed 191 pieces and $19.99 US... it might be more accurate for me to state that while I am one hundred percent sure that 75236 is a Slave I, I'm not one hundred percent sure that it is, in fact, a 4+ kit; that said, the relative numbering of the other 4+ sets at similar price points seems to imply that it is one. I have seen multiple retailers list 75236 as "confidential slave one" or some variation thereof, and I would suspect that TLG has gathered together multiple codenames for the 4+ kit. There is not a single doubt in my mind that it is anything other than an OT or PT Slave I, but it could be either a small playset that includes a tiny Slave I or either a very large and unprecedented error by several retailers. Both are unusual, so I'm excited to catch what TLG has been cooking up.
  10. Image-free as in "greyed-out box silhouettes for each individual line".
  11. Speaking as a person who occasionally has been granted access to those catalogs, it's more that the 2019 LEGO catalog is image-free. :S
  12. No, there's definitely a 4+ branded Slave I coming in 1HY - multiple retailers are starting to list it in their systems.
  13. I just scanned four LSW-focused groups that I belong to on Facebook, and I couldn't/haven't immediately pulled together any sign of Iden Versio there. We know that she's coming as per @Sir von Lego, but are we certain that we're not searching for a needle in a proverbial haystack? I could continue to look later in the day, but the odds are stacked against the existence of Iden for now.

    Lego Dots 2020

Yup, no, we've seen that a few months back. Regardless, thank you! It's called LEGO DOTs, and stylized as such. Very curious to see how it runs, especially if it somehow manages to be the jewelry theme as was initially suspected by some... It's rumored to launch in December/January, so we'll know pretty soon.
  15. It's 75936. Thanks for catching that, @dimaks13. And to be straight-up, yes, "Q1" and "Q2" stand for "quarter one" and "quarter two", respectively. :P
  16. 75934 and 75935 are both set for 1HY 2019. Whether or not they'll see a Q1 or Q2 release remains indistinct. :)
  17. Would it be safe to assume that these are 75228 and 75238, respectively? Well, we don't yet have a handle on what 75245-75250 or 75253-75257 are, so the V-19 is certainly still a possibility...

    Harry Potter 2018 - Rumors & Discussion

Yeah, uh... We're getting a second wave of five sets in January... that said, all of the pertinent "rumors" with respect to what those sets will contain should be tossed out the window. We're at a point wherein the only thing that we know - the only thing - is that there are five more sets set for a January release in the US. I don't know when they'll be released in the EU, but it doesn't seem like too much of a stretch to assume that they will be out in January there as well. This is correct; we have no means of distinguishing between 1HY 2019 Harry Potter and 1HY 2019 Fantastic Beasts sets as this stage in the game.

    Overwatch 2019 - Rumors & Discussion

    They've been listed in full several times in this thread, but for your convenience, here's our current setup: 75970 - $14.99 US 75971 - $19.99 US 75972 - $29.99 US 75973 - $39.99 US 75974 - $49.99 US 75975 - $89.99 US
  20. I believe that you are mistaken; sorry. He and I have actually discussed this sort of thing (for better or for worse ) and I don't believe that Ryan said that at any point along the line. They run through a bit of spectrum, from 60-70 elements up through the 191 that the Slave I includes, so I would tangentially assume that they are distinctly larger and more properly proportioned than a standard Microfighter, while lacking in stickers and intrinsically complex elements à la the majority of the Juniors™ kits that TLG has been putting out for the last three or four years. It's worth noting that the "Juniors" label isn't something that folks such as Ryan and myself have arbitrarily affixed to the four sets in question; it's not that we're attempting to generalize or compartmentalize a new line/subtheme that TLG is putting out. Our sources have explicitly named these as "Juniors" sets, on several occasions. Across a number of "traditional"-type themes (SW, Super Heroes, TLM2), TLG will be integrating Juniors sets into the numbering schemes that have previously been reserved for system-scale kits released with the respective themes. So, these SW "Juniors" sets will literally be just that - your typical LEGO Juniors kits with SW branding and designs, released within the 75___ numbering scheme. All four of these are set to release in January with the mainline wave. To be frank, I have meant to update the "news" thread with my list for some time now, but time and time again I have considered it prudent to wait for the mods here to open a 2019 thread first. That said, with this post in mind, I might swing by and add my list into the contemporaneous news thread just to keep it accessible for those who are interested in simply browsing this thread in a casual sort of manner. If you have any long-term or indefatigable concerns around/regarding the truthfulness of the list that I've been sending around, you are welcome to shoot me a PM requesting evidence to the contrary. For what it's worth, I have zero doubt that my list is 100% legitimate, and I would have no reservations with the idea of sharing proof with the mods here, if that would help us to get on a 2019 track. I wouldn't go as far as to say that neither are relevant here, but I would hope that we can hold a civil, intelligent, and engaging discussion without having to cite either of them, yes. I appreciate some of his content, but for those who want a real calculated, careful, in-depth look at anything, you'd want to look elsewhere. My instinct leads me to want to criticize his style, but I don't want to be missing the forest for the trees here. I don't implicitly vouch for anything that appears in any of his 2019 news videos, but since we both have access to some legitimate information, there is bound to be some overlap.

Jurassic World 2018 - Rumors and Discussion

I honestly don't think that anyone knew about it before I mentioned it a few minutes ago, though I might be wrong. TLG has done a good job of keeping it secret, though I'm okay with hearing that folks are skeptical on this one. Apart from the rest, however, at least three sets are coming.

    [MOC] Boba Fett buildable figure

As it runs, the latter model certainly looks a bit more like Fett with respect to the upper legs and the flaring of the tool belt. Nice work!
  23. There were six unspecified microfighter kits on there, so I would suspect that it's a serious possibility. There's also the unknown 75231 and 75232...
  24. Four, including 76115 from SDCC, two other system-scale sets, and a Juniors set. I'm 95% sure that the line is set for December, but it's all informed speculation at this stage in the game. :)
