    [MOD] Another B-Wing !

Thank you one and all. Very nice to have world experts like Renegade Clone and markus1984 popping in here! I definitely feel like colour is the way forward. I may be turning into Unikitty. My kids are amassing a stash of lovely purple and turquoise bricks that I might have to snaffle soon...

    [SoNE Freebuild] The Story Begins

I like the little story. It draws you in.

    [MOC] Imperial RTT

I really like your first iteration.it has a nice solid, military feel to it. I think I remember the original toy from back in the day. Rather impractical I think - the troops are sitting ducks? I find it tricky to judge your new one until/unless it's in real bricks.

LEGO Star Wars 2015 Pictures and Rumors

My problem with this would be that it looks too much like an earth vehicle. When Star Wars pastiches the earth it gets cheesy. For example, my absolute least favourite scene is Dex's in AOTC, which is an abcolute car crash.

    [MOD] Another B-Wing !

Well, I needed to modify the stand a little, make a bit more room inside. The main thing is that it is stable!

    [MOD] Another B-Wing !

Thanks guys. Despite the bright colours, I really like the industrial feel of this piece. Building the ship reminded me of other , classic 'hard sci-fi' ships like the Liberator from Blake's 7, or the Bird of Prey. And I also like being able to display the B-Wing vertically. Many of the Star Wars sets are effectively flat, so you don't get so much of a wow factor unless you climb up on a step ladder and look down on them from above...

Ha, I just noticed the smoke. Brilliant. And the head in a jar?!

LEGO Star Wars 2014 Pictures and Rumors

Firstly, some people are very shy and don't like talking. Secondly, part of the attraction of a 'collecting' hobby is not knowing exactly where you will find something and how much it will cost. See, for example, browsing in record shops or book shops. Not logical maybe, but there you have it.

    Star Flower

I think this is one of the nicest sci-fi ships I've ever seen. It's so nippy and zippy. Imagine having one of these in real life to pop out to the shops in. I want one! That's one lucky Rodian.

    Which models are really UCS?

In other news, I can't fathom how one could afford to collect a full set of these things. I doubt that I'll ever shell out for one of them. It would be cheaper to start a collection of Faberge eggs or rare Picasso sketches, no?
  11. This is a rather elegant and beautiful creation. The white, grey and purple go so we'll together. I'm guessing, and it's just me, that you might get a lot more appreciative comments if there were more close up photos and/or mini figure interaction etc. You have a great 'product' - you could market it a bit more!

    Review: 8097 Slave 1

I think this is a fine looking model, with very nice figures. I have no problem with the colours. All the opening niches and boxes are nifty. The only drawback is the lack of playability. There is no interior, the ramp goes nowhere, the cockpit is minimalistic and the innards are full of useless missiles. I wish at least that the window was on a hinge with a properly appointed cockpit.

This is just fantastic. And where did they get all those monochrome bricks from?

What are your Lego Star Wars collecting habits?

I mainly stick to OT because if I'm displaying them or creating a scene I don't really want to mix periods. I enjoy watching the prequels with my son but I don't like the sets much. The Sith Infiltrator is pretty awful. And I have no interest in all those Vulture Droids and Homing Spider thingys Funnily enough, although I have no interest in watching Clone Wars cartoons, I think some of the vehicles are great. The Bounty Hunter Gunship is beautiful . And I wouldnt Mind having that Pre Viszla ship.

    [MOC] Cloud City Playset

Hello All, so I thought I would share with you the Cloud City I built for me and my little fellow to play with. I realise that this is nowhere near the brilliant realism that so many of you achieve. And the photos are just snapshots from my android (that's a phone, not a robot). But I know that there are lots of fans of Cloud City among you, so I thought it would be fun to show you that there are other like minded souls out there! This was built in snatches between work and raising kids... Going to test one photo first...

    [MOC] Cloud City Playset

Well, Boba's been trying to find the right landing platform. This is worse than Dundrum shopping centre car park. Ah, here it is! Quick, trooper, load her up!
  18. I have no idea what this is about, as I normally only read the Star Wars forum, but it made me laugh! I like the Friends-ish colours, and the general silliness.
  19. So we built the cantina at the weekend. What a great set. I particulary like how, as with Jabba's palace, the outside looks so good, as well as having a playable interior. I think it really has cross generational appeal. The realistic colours and detailing will please old Star Wars romantics like me. While the way the set opens up, almost like a Polly Pocket set Will please kids. And my son is convinced it includes a bantha. I don't know how he's even heard about banthas!!

    [MOC] Cloud City Playset

Thanks guys. Yes, tiling would be the next step...if I had the time or patience! As you can see, it's just a fun family build. But it gave me a chance to watch the Cloud City scenes over again with the kids. It's such a beautiful film set. The clours are great.

    [Review] 75052 Mos Eisley Cantina

This is a nice review of a lovely set , which I have to admit I have bought for myself (ahem) for Father's day. I can't wait to have all three Both pile into the landspeeder for a joy-ride. I can understand people hankering after Walrusman et al, but if they put 15 aliens in every set they would all cost 200 Euro and they're almost unaffordable as it is. Plus, if you got all the figures you ever wanted in one go, there would be nothing to look forward to/pine away after! ...should be Bith...not Both..not Bothans either...or Bothams...
