jamtf Posted August 21, 2007 Well Im buying one possibly from the UK please but anyway aroudn $90 to $100 mabye?Ill see if i can go higher. Thanks :) Well, for $90 I am not sure what you can expect. You might be lucky but be prepared to pay a little more if the set is 100% complete with good condition parts, original instructions and the original box. If you do not need the original box and if you would be prepared to settle for a well used set that is 90%-95% complete, maybe $90 ain't so bad. The UK is usually an expensive place to buy when it comes to the big ships and imperial soldiers and guards (I saw 30 of them go with only 1 governor included missing the admiral bicorne for
SirNadroj Posted August 21, 2007 $90 seems a little cheap. If you can get it complete for that your lucky! Personally, I wouldn't care if it came with the box. (though it would be nice ;-) )
Joey Lock Posted August 21, 2007 (edited) But I thought at least you could get a medium condition one for at least that much? What about $120? I guess ill just have to by the Clone model one... Edited August 21, 2007 by Joey Lock

Joey Lock Posted August 22, 2007 Lets not get crazy now! ;-) But i tell you the clone models not all that bad its the same mostly just a few bricks and the colours of the swords (Silver i personally makes it look cooler) But since i cant find a cheap BSB also if I would buy a original i would leave it away to sell higher in future One day I will get a original :'-)

Mister Phes Posted August 22, 2007 Well, for $90 I am not sure what you can expect. You might be lucky but be prepared to pay a little more if the set is 100% complete with good condition parts, original instructions and the original box. Jamtf raises some good points here because you're likely to get a price variation depending on the condition, completeness and whether it includes a box or instructions. If you want one in MISB the Legend version is likely to cost at least US$200 and the original version... I've seen them sell for over US$400... Also check BrickLink because the prices will vary there too.

legotrainfan Posted June 3, 2008 For a MSIB set it certainly is! Too bad the seller only ships to the UK though, otherwise I'd be bidding... In such cases I usually ask the seller by mail whether they would make an exception concerning the shipping destination. Don't rely too much on what it says in the description. Mister Phes Posted June 3, 2008 You are indeed right Legotrainfan, I was thinking that as I was hitting the send button, but then I remember the ship cost between the UK and here will prevent it from being a bargain.

oDDerFisken Posted June 14, 2008 (edited) As the title says I need help to determine the value of an auction I've found. As far as I can see there's the remainings of the Carribbean Clipper in it at this picture. Though the sails looks like they've had better times. To me this looks like some of the Forbidden Island. Maybe also the Shipwrecked Pirates since the smal baseplate with is there? Gathered it looks something like this All in all there should be 4,5 kg's of mixed bricks, but of course there's no instructions and originals boxes. I ask you, becuase I'm not sure what this could be worth. I would like it, but I will not pay overprice. So if you tell me it's a fabulous offer I'm gonna buy it. What would you, LEGO experts, think it's worth? And if you can tell me what sets else there's in it, it would be great. oDDerFisken Posted June 15, 2008 (edited) Depends which country really...In Australia you'd get over $200 for that.... Denmark. It's in Denmark, and so am I. So no shipping costs So what do you think it's worth? Edited June 15, 2008 by oDDerFisken
Mister Phes Posted June 15, 2008 Couldn't tell you how much LEGO sells for in Denmark, but I've noticed another Australian auction for 5KG of LEGO sold for $460 which is 2,091.18 DKK Click Here to view the auction So take this information into consideration and make your own estimates. oDDerFisken Posted June 16, 2008 Seems like the Australian LegoAuctions goes for a high price. Not sure the danish ones is quite that expensive.
Mister Phes Posted June 16, 2008 Yes, unfortunately for me, LEGO sells at a much higher price than most places. I'm not exactly sure why this is. I better put my thinking cap on and work it out ASAP.
