Today my YT channel got trough a new milestone.

If you don't speak Bulgarian - it's 250000 views and 668 subs. It ain't much but it's honest work.

A comment on my tracked racer suggested to make a mini 42095 out of the 42148.
Seems hard to do but might be interesting enough to try. We'll see.

I totally forgot that I've redone the 42133 train set and it finally isn't an eyesore anymore.

Also - in hindsight - I was participating in TC25 before it started with my shrinking of 42065 RC tracked racer from the parts of 42148...

The OG 42103 seems way more preposterous than my guy on the right - it's the direct inspiration for the C-model. Sprinkle that with the 42050's B model and A features...

Luckily - I've managed to make a weird Christmas tree from the spares and a detachable wheelie stand to pose the dragster it just like the 42050.

The V4 is tiny and kinda lame for a dragster, but I'm happy the 42164 set has pistons at all!

I have no clue if the wheelie bars in real dragsters have springs, but this just felt right to include as a feature. Dunno.

I'll disassemble it soon, otherwise the improvements will continue for sure.

I've Sold the 42090+42091 sets I had but kept this scratch build around as a video. It always bugged me to finish it.
42090-42091 Police SUV combo model.
Yesterday I've digitized the dissassembly video I shot before selling them. 10hrs later and the concept is finished and almost ready for publishing. Almost didn't sleep.
And another news - 42090 bundle is coming in the next days - finally managed to collect all my files - which inspired this finally getting finished 3yrs later.

I'm welcoming any ideas for better and not that sterile rendering of this model - anything will be of use :)

@maaboo - As a background - 42046 was my first set ever - the combo model made me get into Technic as a whole.
The tank then made me buy the two sets as parts packs. Standalone - the sets are kinda meh.
However - the back of the tank is REALLY crude and unfinished.
Something I tried but couldn't fix with the leftover pieces. So I tried making some other models instead.

Finally - here's the family. I've bundled up their videos in one showcase video. <itsdone.gif> Next up - digging another idea from the graveyard.
New Technic sets don't make me feel very creative so far.

Recently - 42164 turned into a truck dolly to tow stuff around. Road trains are always fun to see. In Bulgaria you can't see any :D

640x401.jpg -

Fresh out of the oven, pre-3D model - my take on the 42072-42073 combo model.
It's got more pullbacks than the combo of 42010-42011 and less functions than the OG 42072-42073 combo...

 And the video is out.

My Technic journey started with the 42046 Getaway racer and the combo builds of pullbacks always made me happy afterwards.

A small comment + rating + boasting section ensues:

42010-42011 - haven't owned them yet, the dragster seems a bit shoddy, but quite playable. But why 1 pullback only?
42026-42027 - owned both, sold them, combo was good. I was missing the spare parts and the screw gear - the spoiler was a bit WTF but cool.
42033-42034 - One of the very cool combo builds - the Pickup seems pretty close to the MJ series that came out later. But WAY faster.
42046+42047 - Maybe the best combo model for me personally. Both a hybrid between the OG sets and an entity on its own.
42058+42059 - The bike was pretty mediocre, but the combo set was like 42026+42027's cousin - the rake, the 6 wheeler truck that's heavy and fast.
42072+42073 - The crash feature launching two bits in the same time has been quite a spectacle. I like the engineering of the model but hate the looks. It's crude and rough and kinda cute in that sense. 1 moc can be seen above.
42090+42091 - so far 2 MOCs - the OG model is a bit wonky, but very cool in person

42118+42119 - So far 2 ideas, both in early work if I don't scrap them.
42134+42135 - no ideas for a MOC and no combo build
42149+42150 - see above
42166+42169 - some ideas based on branding, not owning the sets yet...

In the meantime I've got like 6 ideas for MOCs and little energy to act on any one of them. 42084 is awaiting the little train treatment, based on my 42147 train. Parts are wildly different tho, we'll see what comes out.
