[MOC] D-0, the new droid from IX

Recommended Posts

I really liked it when they showed it at the Celebration. I think it's a well-made character for animation (basic shapes, but very expressive), and I appreciate it a lot in this kind of characters.

I wanted to make one in the style of the UCS R2D2 and BB8. I used a dark grey chain for the wheel, which is not exactly accurate, but I prefered playability over accuracy. It works very smooth.

This is sooooo good! Awesome work and I need to build one to go with BB-8. Is there a list of parts available so I can order what I need? I know there’s a picture but I haven’t got a clue to start knowing what they are. Thanks in advance

Thanks for sharing the building instruction!

LEGO has also released a D-O (75278) set. It's 27 cm (10.5 inches) high which is the life-size of D-O.

Your model is in correct size with R2D2 und BB8. For me it's the better model for presentation of the three droids.
