    Lego Overwatch 2019 - Rumors & Discussion

Finally, I got the sets today. I built all of them except Bastion and Watchpoint. I'm surprised with D.Va. I really liked what I saw but it's even better, and Hana's minifig is the best one of this wave by far. My only doubt is: Why did they put this piece https://brickset.com/parts/292626/bearing-plate-1x4-double in the crotch? It limits a lot the movement and poseablility, and it doesn't seems to have any function. Reinhardt's torso and arms are really great, but the legs are totally off. It's sad because as I said, the top half is perfect, but I can't find a way or a pose to look at them in a good way. I'm not a big fan of Reaper so I wasn't looking forward to this minifig, but it's one of my favourites. The cape is great, the print is great but I specially liked the weapons (same for Soldier76). They may look too bulky but they really work for the style they created for Overwatch. I prefer this over fully molded weapons. About the builds, I'm kinda dissapointed with Hanamura. It's probably one of the most iconic maps/places of the game, so it's sad to see it reduced to a wall. El Dorado set is good, you can recreate an entire match in that point (I've seen and played a lot of victories/defeats in that arch). Oh, and Genji's chest is definetely metallic.

[PRESS RELEASE] 70840 - Welcome to Apocalypseburg!

Yep, I've understood the print now. It's like a corset simulating the abdominals, ala Immortan Joe.

Is it me or the torso looks silver instead of yellow? Or is it an armour? PS: I like that there is a wrecked VW Bus in the area the surfer guy :D

LEGO Overwatch - Wishlists and Future Speculation

Roadhog and Junkrat's motorcycle is a mandatory set (I'm even surprised that it wasn't in the first wave, since they made a perfect body for Roadhog in one of the Sons of Garmadon set):

    [MOC] Wrecking Ball/Hammond from Overwatch

Thank you! This one is, as close as possible, in minifig scale. I've been thinking how Lego pull it off, and I think they'd do a bigger one as D.Va or Rein, but with a system to deploy all legs at the same time. That's not so hard to do, and it could be really could. Thanks!
  7. Hammond is the 28th hero of Overwatch. It's a genetically enhanced hamster that drives a mech called Wrecking Ball. The mech can translate what Hammond says, turn into a ball and use an arsenal of weapons like quad-cannons, mines and a shield generator. Lego Wrecking Ball from Overwatch MOC by hachiroku24, en Flickr I used a teddy bear piece for Hammond. Maybe it's not the best way to do it, but I think it works very well. Mercy is 37 years old. She's a veteran but not so veteran.

If there is a summer wave at this point, it shouldn't depend on the sales of the winter wave, right? Anyway, I think these sets will sell like hot cakes. Almost all of my friends that have played the game at some point (I must say that most of my friends are fan of Blizzard, including myself) are interested in the sets. Especially the D.Va and Reinhardt set and the Tracer and Widow set. Coincidentally, they aren't interested in the Watchpoint Gibraltar set, but they really want the Mercy minifigure (and they don't care about the face print tho). I will probably try Tallie Lintra's head, but I will keep the official one:

    REVIEW: 75975 Watchpoint: Gibraltar

As I said in the Overwatch thread, they should have used a regular flesh head instead of a black one with a p`rinted face. The black piece of the neck isn't so noticeable in the original character:
  11. Oh, true, that's another funny point of that set. It would have been cooler with just a modern rally Mini Countryman. But instead of that, they made a bigger one, with bigger wheels that is probably even more expensive than a smaller one :S PS: The R/T logos of the Charger are printed too. The GT3 is really underrated because it came with the classic 911 and most of people see it as "the other car they had to sell with the cool one", but is easily one of the best SC cars they made.

Why do you say that? Is there any review of the Gibraltar set? EDIT: Oh, right, the Solid Brix video from the Blizzcon, I forgot about that. I think they should've put a regular head instead a black one. Yes, Mercy has that black thing in the neck, but it isn't so remarkable:
  13. The windscreens of the Mini Cooper are printed. That's a really nice surprise.

I'd say it's medium nougat, but it may be dark orange too. I'm not 100% sure. By the way, I saw the official picture again and Genji has the metallic chest. I don't know why it looks brown in the brickset's photo: The brick fan review has Genji with a brownish/silver chest: LEGO Overwatch Hanzo vs. Genji (75971) by Allen Tran, en Flickr

    Lego Overwatch 2019 - Rumors & Discussion

I know, and that's the Lego style and I like it very much. That's not what I mean. I've seen custom minifigures with a molded head really close to the original and I don't like them neither because they look disproportionated in a Lego body. My problem with Genji's helmet is that it's too big even for the Lego style. The top part of the helmet is that it's even wider than the body. I've tweaked a little the minifig with photoshop. I made the top part of the helmet 10 pixels slimmer (the jaw is the same size in both minifigs) and changed the brown parts of the chest to silver metallic. Maybe it's almost unnoticable, but it has improved a lot to me (mine is the left one):
