I mean - they reused the French bulldog as a ‘robot’, so …

Yeah, but that’s a smaller accessory instead of a component of the main minifigure. Also worth noting that the leaker just describes it as a ‘Great fig’ and nothing else – which isn’t a description I’d lean towards if the head was a recolored mask (in contrast, the Cute Witch is described as ‘pretty standard’, so a lot of us are expecting her to just use the hat+hair combo first released in the Hocus Pocus set).

Fair. But it’s an animal ancestry, not minigifure part itself tho… I still stand with what I doubt.

Agreed. “Great fig” doens’t mean anything but just just vague.

Two more minifigs have leaked! One is certainly the monster hunter, no clue what the other could be… Looks more like a BAM figure to me (minus the dual-moulded printed legs) :shrug_oh_well:

Edit: Duh, the torso and legs are for the Bionicle Cosplayer, but the head can’t be right! A carved pumpkin with a worm coming out?! Maybe it’s the faceprint underneath the Trash Monster’s slime headpiece?

Monster Hunter looks great, although Im not sure about the grin...not every character needs to be smiling

She’ll likely have an alternative faceprint ^^ Also, why can’t a monster hunter be happy about scoring a bounty/kill? :snicker:

Or maybe that pumpkin head comes with the Monster Hunter?

Like she just beheaded it

Not sure I like the steampunk look and purple hair of the Monster Hunter... Still, I will probably get one, but I'm less enthusiastic about it.

Or a pumpkin that comes with the ‘cute’ witch …

Isn't it red?

Dark red, I’d say

Maybe she’s just very happy and fulfilled in her work.

Yeah, definitely not the Bionicle one.

I would say dark red, but really hard to say from the picture, could also be magenta but for that it looks to dark.

Monster Hunter looks great, though I would think it would look better without the ruffles. Toa looks good so far, hope we are going to see the rest (of him and the missing figures and accessories)

Nah, nothing particularly cute about a rotting jack-o-lantern with a worm coming out – that’s 100% associated with the trash monster. Which is good in my opinion – I thought there was a chance it would just have the sack piece recolored as a garbage bag, so getting a custom print shows Lego isn’t phoning it on the accessories.

The Unicorn Elf’s alternate face has also leaked. It’s an eyes closed expression which makes it easier to see that she’s got some metallic accents going on.

The Monster Hunter is very snazzy looking. Although the Victorian style clothes make me wonder if the leaker got the wrong end of the stick on what the ‘Willy Wonka’ Chocolatier was wearing. Two characters in a series from the same time period (that isn’t ‘medieval castle’) seems a little odd. Maybe we’ll see a contemporary Chocolatier after all.

Was hoping for a more medieval/fantasy monster hunter but this is kinda interesting. Makes me want to build a Call of Cthulhu-esque vignette with her and the Steampunk Inventor

Tahu looks good so far and isn't obviously designed to look like a costume which is a plus.

The Monster Hunter looks very nice, feels slightly Bloodborne-esque (though obviously more colorful and cheery as befits Lego).

The Tahu torso and legs do highlight why my ideal Bionicle figs would be molded instead of standard minifigs (the printed details on flat surfaces only do a so-so job of evoking the iconic robotic texture of Bionicle characters), but in the context of a minifigure cosplaying as a Bionicle character it works fine. I'll be curious to see how the mask and fire sword are executed, since those probably will have the sort of molded detail the rest of the fig parts lack.

Slaying and killing monsters with a grin like that.....

Maybe she is a monster herself

I haven’t thought about that before, but how do you think they’ve realised the mask for the Bonkle cosplayer? Since it’s a costume, we can expect a regular minifig head. So will the mask attach via a neck attachment, be clipped onto a motorcycle helmet like a visor, be dual-moulded with the actual grey headpiece being a helmet that goes over the minifig head, or have two separate parts?

This is my preferred option (Though I think Tahu Mata would be more accurately represented with red and trans-pink since most of the back of his head is transparent. Most of the grey head piece is covered by his mask or the transparent brainstalk)

Given how accurate the body is, I think there's a really good chance we get a near-perfect molded helmet (For figure reasons, it has to be a helmet- Tahu's mask extends over the top of his head, and since neck attachments- well, attach- under the head, you can't get the shaping right without making it a helmet.

As for the torso and legs, man, those are beautiful. Absolute perfection, I really couldn't ask for anything better. If the helmet and sword can keep it up this might be one of my favorite minifigures ever. I really, really hope they manage to get us the other Mata somehow- they did their best with the GWP style but only managed to get Onua's mask snuck in.

Wow, the Bionicle torso and legs look really good - I'm anxious to see how they did the mask, but they nailed it from my perspective.  I was never a big Bionicle guy, but I think I'll pick one of those up if the head looks as good as the rest of it does.

As a Halloween/spooky stuff fan, the pumpkin piece is awesome, and I think that the Monster Hunter figure it awesome - seems like she'd fit right in with the Monster Fighters aesthetic!  I'm guessing the pumpkin and a weapon are her accessories?

The leaker who first posted the list confirmed that she has a new weapon of some sort, but the pumpkin appears to be from the Trash Monster – it has some visible rot and a worm just like the previously leaked fig. Which just makes the trash monster feel even more like a classic Scooby-Doo villain – very fun but still capable of spooking and chasing after some meddling kids.

Okay what’s up with red hair for Monster Hunter? I notice that Barbarian and Falconer from previous CMF series come wiht red hair and now Monster Hunter. What. Does a red hair suppsoed to represent?  Feminism?

At least the Monster Hunter looks good with red hair. The Falconer did not

The Falconer had that bright red and the Monster hunter is more dark red and looks at least a bit more natural.  The Falconer's hair just stood out to much.

I think the fact that Monster Hunter has a grinning face is becuase she is confident to face dangers ahead of her, not jsut delightful to kill monsters.

It's not that deep, it's just a hair color that looks "cool" and distinctive without necessarily needing to be the product of modern hair dye or anything like that (see Captain Redbeard for an older male example).

On this fig, another benefit is that it doesn't blend in with the various earth tones used for the hat and outfit.

That’s valid. And I don’t remember seeing male minifigures with red hair in previous CMF series?

Battle Dwarf from Series 17 (and Clown from Series 1, but that's almost certainly a wig and a part of the clown archetype anyways)

Ice Planet Explorer from Series 26 also came with red hair.
