I don't know if this is said already because I didn't start reading from page 1 but nnenn has an interesting group pool on Flickr called "Brick Wishlist" . You can check it out via this link. Browse around and you see some very very very interesting ideas.

Actually, I'm rather bummed that sets like 7682 Shanghai Chase have a single piece as the vehicle cabin. These are wholly unnecessary molds that could be replaced by four or five smaller pieces. I'm pretty disappointed that the vehicles no longer have doors too, and what doors exist are not real door pieces, but hacks. Maybe there should be a thread on what pieces TLG should stop producing and using in their sets, or a thread on what pieces should be replaced.

The piece wishlist on flickr is interesting, but I find many of the pieces to be wholly superfluous. There are a few gems in there, like the corner windscreen, some of the slopes and wedges (concave and convex), the arches (though I think they should be half-arches), and maybe a few of the 1x1 pieces, but the rest can be done with existing pieces. It might not turn out as smooth or as necessarily "good looking," but I don't think the point of building with Lego bricks is to create something as realistic as possible.

Personally, I'd like to see certain pieces return into production. The old car doors, the roof hinges (with the sun roof!), etc. are all vastly superior to their contemporaries. As for new parts, I'd probably like to see a 2x2 plate with a hole in the middle. I'd also like to see the top half of the lightsaber, which can be a torch, or used to hold crystals. Just for kicks, I'd like to see a 1x1 dome. But that might be easy to choke on and easy to lose.

Oh, and for the record, I'm completely against male-male and female-female bricks. I also feel it's cheating.

As far as the male-male female-female parts goes, I oftentimes use an alternative with the female-female and stick one of these between them.
For an optimist, the glass is half full. To the pessimist, it is half empty. To the engineer, it is twice as big as it needs to be.

Evil! This is probably the most evil Lego piece in circulation, more evil than this or this. And I won't even mention the open-center Technic pieces, as evil as those are. It mascarades as a Technic piece, except if you think about it, it really isn't suitable for use in a Technic context. The only piece other than itself it'll actually connect to is this, which makes its side-element (the two holes) next to useless. Instead, it's just a piece to snap together two unconnected sections, so in fact, it's actually a System piece.
[/rant]

Anyway, for those looking for male-male and female-female bricks, those are it. I highly doubt TLG will release plates though, which is what I think the most clamor is for.

I guess you don't build Technic models. I use that piece all the time to get a half-stud distance between two gears, as done on 8466, 8480 and numerous other sets.

What is your dream piece? I've always wanted a round 1X1 plate that has a stud on both sides, making for instant snot. I've also really really wanted an axle that converts into a pin with no ring in between, so it just slides straight through.

Of course, I've also really wanted a Vomit Brick...

So, what's your dream piece? Is this topic a double? What did your grandma have for lunch?

Answer today!

This topic is a double, there's already one like this called "what piece do you want the lego company to make?" or something like that. I can't seem to find the topic though...

but to answer your question, a stud with a stud  on both sides would be a dream come true :cry_happy:

I want a corner cheese (with slope to two neighboring sides), a 1x1x1 cheese (i.e. not 2/3 height) and an inverse cheese.

Okay, so I made a topic called "What's your dream piece." There turned out to be a similar, older topic. After I found this out, I still made a post requesting the topic not to be closed until a certain question was answered.

I understand that we don't want unnecessary topics floating around, but can you at least notify the writer before you get rid of his topic?

And I still don't know what CGH meant by 1 X 3 plate. I swear that's already been made!

So can smeone please tell me the reason for my topic's deletion?

If you check your recent posts, you'll find it's still there, just merged into the other one. :hmpf:

Like this one will be.

And no, they don't make 1x3 tiles. If he said plates, it was a mistake.

No, but I don't really see the need for them. You can just put a flat 1x1 next to a flat 1x2. The one reason I came up with is to put 2/3 of it on one piece, then attach  another piece to the 1/3 of it hanging off the edge.
