Kai NRG Posted September 20, 2015 Location: F09 Tags: Submarine, Land Vehicle, Vehicle You know, I'll have to admit that Awesominium is really a well named element. All those purple spots are just so awesome! But you know what's even awesomer? A whole lake full of it! So beautiful! *kkmmkkmm* Guy? This is Dr. Long, do you read me? Yes... that is, I mean, I think my communication system has just started to malfunction... maybe you'll have to call back tomorrow... Right, whatever. I'm in the middle of an executive meeting here, so I'm just phoning in to remind you that there's a sub on the back of your truck... What's that? I'm really not quite sure I'm catching everything there, Dr. Danielle. Yeah. Anyway, since I'm the scientist here on the board, I've got a mission for you... Excuse me? I think I must have misunderstood something... must be this lousy headset, do you think maybe... Guy. Didn't I tell you I'm in the middle of a meeting? I really need you to stop interrupting so we can get this over with. And didn't I tell you that I can't hear you?! At least, I wish I couldn't... Yeah, whatever. I got it already! So, we've got some radar evidence that suggest that this lake has a fairly extensive underground base, a lot more than meets the eye. I've decided that your job will be to unload the sub into the lake and take it down there for a dive. Bring up some specimens when you come back and keep an eye open so you can report everything. Sorry I can't walk you through it, but Lord Business has been eyeing me kinda suspiciously for a while, so I've gotta go! Catch you later! What?!? Dr. Danielle!!! Get back here! I can't believe she would just hang up like that. Danielle! Do you realize how small that sub is?! I can barely fit in there myself, and you want me to stick some slimy seaweed in with me? And do you realize that last time I tried water exploration my sub was just about crushed by a giant hand?! Executive meetings! Just you wait! Just wait until I'm the third branch executive! And you know what's the worst thing? It's all done in the name of science! A few pictures of just the vehicles: The sub is something of a smaller version of my last sub. For the record, a minifigure does fit inside. Not a whole lot of wiggle room, but it fits! As a matter of fact, this was the base that the other sub was supposed to go on... well, for obvious reasons, it didn't fit. That happens a lot to me. In fact, this base was a result of trying to find somewhere to put that pink flower. It didn't really go though, so I got three builds out of one, so to speak, and had to do three times the amount of work, too! C&C are welcome! I really liked Bob's build with the purple in white rock, so I borrowed that concept again and threw in some dark red while I was at it. And now I guess I have to build an underwater section... which I actually wasn't planning on, but somehow it snuck into the story!
Graham Gidman Posted September 20, 2015 That's quite a bit of dark red, fantastic build!
rodiziorobs Posted September 20, 2015 The vehicles are quite good, but the landscape is particularly eye-catching
Vedauwoo Posted September 20, 2015 Wow...love that truck...the red tracks rock!

Garmadon Posted September 21, 2015 Awesome work on the landscaping here Kai, fantastic color combinations, and both the white rocks and the lake look superb!
SpacerSteve Posted September 21, 2015 The dark red terrain is really eye catching. The ice/rock features are great too. I like how one of them over flows off the base.
mediumsnowman Posted September 21, 2015 I really like the water and vehicle! It's cool how you took your sub from last week and downscaled it. The dark red terrain and rocks are just plain awesome.
Jody Meyer Posted September 21, 2015 As stated above, awesome landscape, the white does pop with the purple, great looking sub / truck combo, just make sure you have a tie down when running around with it
Kai NRG Posted September 21, 2015 Thanks everyone! I'm really glad my experimental landscaping was such a hit! That's quite a bit of dark red, fantastic build! Yep, I sure didn't have much dark red left over! Thanks! The dark red terrain is really eye catching. The ice/rock features are great too. I like how one of them over flows off the base. Flowing over the base is a must when you start running out of black tiles. Thanks!
David FNJ Posted September 21, 2015 I really like the one angled rock pillar. The dark red against the white looks great. I like the sub that fits on the back of the vehicle. Awesomnium comes in liquid form naturally?! Don't tell Big Sal! Perhaps Guy will need to self destruct the sub in order to shoo away a large beast or something

Yes, he will certainly have to do something to it, because I've already demolished it. I haven't quite figured out what yet, but that's a good suggestion!
