My entry was selected to the Fan Vote phase of "Build a Vintage car to cruise the streets of LEGO® Modular Buildings!". It is a late 50's muscle car tuning. On the main picture the couple is watching the freshly installed supercharger and on the last one the first try is visible :) One of the most interesting thing about this car is the brickbuilt flame decoration which was inspired by one of my Matchboxes from my childhood. Some tricky solutions were used to build the flame decoration on the hood especially without the supercharger which is visible on one of the pictures. I prefer this solution instead of stickers to keep the flexibility of the used parts in further builds. It is (mostly) a studless build in Speed Champions style which means a 6 studs wide car with a 4 studs wide windscreen. However the front wheels came from a City set to make them similar to the rear ones which are a bit bigger Creator wheels to make the car more dynamic. I hope you enjoy this car. Supposed to build for Valentine's Day and a local brick fest which is cancelled due to the coronavirus plague. If this MOC comes out on Feb 14, the original setting would be lovers. Now what? Subject to your interpretation... more likely to be a boy urging for love. Now that people in Hong Kong have to wear face mask to protect ourselves from the plaque, we like to go to the countryside. This is the other reason why I build this scene. This is the love story of Lucy/Wyldstyle and Emmet. Emmet faces much hardship in his pursuit of love (probably because of Batman!) Lucy always looks cool and unresponsive. Though Lucy is always within his reach, Emmet simply cannot get her attention (or she is even beyond his sight). They whirl around one another but their is no contact point of them. They look like two lost souls in a fish bowls. It takes a long time -- from winter to summer -- for Emmet to win her over finally. Here comes a video: Hope you like my creation.
