Here is my review on LEGO City 60437 Jungle Explorer Helicopter at Base Camp: THE GOOD: The Gorillas are great and comes in two! The jungle area is good and customisable. Some interesting new parts like the new map, extra short coaster track and a few minifigures torsos. THE NOT SO GOOD: The Helicopter is massive in size but lack interior details. Bought this with 30% off deal and for the Gorillas. The Gorillas are great, although they do look small in comparison to other large land animals in other sets. The jungle area is very detailed and compatible with other sets in the same wave. There is a nice flower at the back of it but after seeing how certain pieces were used in the Creator Tiger, it does make me think ... lol. The minifigures are great if you haven't buy any of the previous sets on the Arctics exploration as they are the same team, so if you have them from the other waves then you might find them repetitive. I especially like the pilot's torso. In terms of the Helicopter, it's very big and have nice exterior details. Interesting builds to create some of the action features too but to allow one of the key play feature (storing the base camp) this means the interior details are sacrificed. With $180 NZD retail price down in NZ, this set is not cheap. I would only recommend this set, if you can't wait for the Gorillas to be available in cheaper way and you find a decent discount. Of course if you like helicopter, this may be a set for you.

Here is my review on LEGO City 60425 Jungle Explorer Water Plane: THE GOOD: The water plane is great with space to fit 2 minifigs and some good use of parts to create the shape and design. 2 crocs and 1 baby croc THE NOT SO GOOD: Couldn't find anything specific to this set. Finally by buying this, I've completed all 4 maps. And this set is actually pretty nice. The water plane is done quite well with great use of parts to create exterior designs. And able to fit both minifigures in the plane is great. Also I like the fact they include not just one but 2 crocodiles, plus a new baby crocodile. The little swamp area does look small compared to other sets in the theme but you can always combine with other sets if you have them. Really couldn't think of anything that is not so good specifically to this set. If you like collecting LEGO animals and want to complete the bigger jungle map without waiting for Pick a Brick, this is a nice little set for you. Especially, you can get at least 20% off mostly.

In January 2020 I visited Angkor Thom in Cambodia. It gave me inspiration to build this LEGO creation. It is inspired by the Angkor Thom City Gate in Cambodia. The city gate was built by the Khmer Empire around year 1200. Around year 1900 the ruins of the city was rediscovered and explored by European travelers. Today it is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Southeast Asia. I wasn't sure where to put it exactly, but since it's related to Transformers I guess it can go here. [MOC] Temple of the Golden Sun Disk by Admiraltyphoon, on Flickr Millennia ago, a civilisation witnessed the wars between beasts over a mysterious golden disk, an artefact said to contain secrets of ancient past…and far future. They safeguarded the shining “disco del sol” in a temple deep in the jungles, hidden from the tyrannical jaws of evil. With it, they carved into its walls the legend of these brave and fearsome beast machines. [MOC] Temple of the Golden Sun Disk by Admiraltyphoon, on Flickr With the passing of time the civilisation fell, and with it the whereabouts of the temple. [MOC] Temple of the Golden Sun Disk by Admiraltyphoon, on Flickr Now, it has been found again, and various faces of good and evil are on the verge of clashing for its power again… [MOC] Temple of the Golden Sun Disk by Admiraltyphoon, on Flickr This is the first of my shelf dioramas made for my Transformers! My idea started when I was quickly running out of space for the few shelves in my Kallax unit I’d allocated for transformers when I got back into them some years ago - what started as a raised platform eventually got to the idea of a diorama scene that works for photoshoots as well. The recent Rise of The Beasts was the main inspiration because I liked the idea of mixing the Beast Wars story with the various Mesoamerican civilisations, most notably integrating the Golden Disk from the show with the Mayan/Inca disks, and carved/built wall murals of the maximals and predacons (can you guess which ones are on each column?).

Dear adventurer, this is the tale around the Temple of the Black Panther, follow the map and you will probably find it´s secrets... Deep in the south american jungle a shadow strikes through the thicket - the black Panther. It is worshipped by the native people and therefore they build a temple in his honour. To honour the god of the panther, they worship him with gifts of gold and blood... The adventures Part1: Clash of cultures After the landing of the spanish armada, they set forth into the jungle, seeking for the gold around the myths of el dorado. They made contact with the people and shared knowledge and goods so they could make a deal to get a map to the famous sectret temple in the jungle. With this help they managed to reach the tempel and made conttact with the prist of the panther. They have been welcomed friendly but it did not take long before the obsession for gold took over their minds... Part2: The black panther Years later, the ruins of the temple still resist the nature. A native strives through the jungle and came across already forgotten tempel. Suddenly the panther himselfs shows up and the native fled back into the jungle. Part3: Indiana Jones Getaway A shot bursts through the jungle! In the last second Indy jumps out of the way of the bullet across the big ants with the help of his whip. The russian agent has the choice, let him escape or confront herself to the dangers of the jungle? Part4: From Dusk Till Dawn - final szene (only open if you already know the movie) Extra: Nighmode and view from above Treasure hunt In the MOC is a hidden set, can you spot it? More pictures and a short video at flickr Album by Stoertebricker So now I finished my recap of my last builds, I hope you enjoy them! Adrian aka Störtebricker

Cat A Cat B part 1 île D'Or, August 618, somewhere in the jungle Nights can be very dark in the jungle, with just a little campfire to repel the shadows and the humidity of the night… very dark and very lonely, for a sentinel guarding the bivouac, alone among his companions wrapped in their blankets or, if they are lucky enough to be officers, sleeping in a comfortable tent. Nights in the jungle can also be very dangerous. Snakes leave their holes, hunting for preys in the bushes and in the low water... ...but you can also receive an undesirable visit of some two-legged snakes infesting the island. Without a sound, similar to shadows in the night, they got close to the camp: two of them headed to the tent, ready to cut the ropes and then slaughter the men trapped inside... ...while the others (among which a familiar face) approached the soldiers, in order to slit the sentinel's throat and kill the others in their sleep. It will be a matter of seconds: blades in the dark, horrible stabbing sounds, and everything will be over. A matter of seconds, and then... ...then the assassins dressed in black will be in the middle of the fake camp, clearly visible in the light of the fire, among straw puppets and pineapples covered by hats. Clearly visible… and ready to be ballasted with a considerable amount of lead! An overall view A couple of close-ups of the cane field

Cat A Cat B part 1 Cat B part 2 île D'Or, August 618, somewhere in the jungle Captain Rimbaud and his men were following the trail left by the black-cloaked assassins since dawn, when they found a building hidden in the jungle. "They didn't even conceal their trail, they were completely sure about killing us tonight!" "Better for us, mon ami, or we would have only four corpses with a knife and a strange medallion each... Definitely not enough for our hunt!" It seemed a little temple, completely covered by vines and surrounded by a thick fence of poles. Folkloric versions of the 'keep out' sign welcomed the soldiers. "Jacob, search this place. If one of those black cloak is here around, shoot on sight!" "Yes Sir! Here it's clear!" "Dear Gods!" Exclaimed Doctor Laurent. "This is horrible! These men were natives, probably hunters arrived here by chance." "Why did they do that?" Asked sergeant Dubois, remained in rearguard "An offering? A sacrifice? Pagan savages!" "I think that these heads are a warning, sergeant! And this is not a pagan temple. This place is dedicated to the Enemy of the Gods!" Replied Monsieur Rimbaud with a serious voice. "There is no doubt: look at that symbol, a couple of stylized hands grabbing the sun…" "...and there is no statue on the altar, only a blood-red crystal. Ancient worshippers of the Enemy used these symbols too." "But Monsieur Rimbaud, mon ami" intervened Doctor Laurent "those fanatics were eradicated more than two hundred years ago, when they tried to overturn the Order and kill the Royal Family! The few survivors of their bloody revolt suicided en masse." "This is true, but… Well, when we'll find their lair we'll know the truth. Finding this place was a real stroke of luck! The men who attacked us tonight weren't one of the patrols, they were bringing them resupply; probably they were the first ones the red-headed spy found." "It means our enemies have to tighten their belts, and that alligators will party with their food!" "Yes, and it also means that, following the river we will find their den. It's time to send a message to lieutenant Norbert; it's platoon is waiting on the northern coast and we are going north, following the river. If they move southward we will take the main cove between the hammer and the anvil." The soldiers set fire to the interior of the little temple, putting a signaling rocket on the roof… it would have been ignited half an hour later, enough for disappearing in the jungle and hunting their enemies with their same methods, becoming shadows among the shadows, as invisible as ghosts. The rocket, giving Lieutenant Norbert the order to move An overall view

Hello all together! A month ago I promised a freind of mine that I would build something for the Orient Expedition Contest over on Roguebricks. So I did! And I also wanted to share it with you all here on Eurobricks too: After Johnny Thunder and his friends had arrived in India, they were just on their way into the enchanted jungle. As a journalist, Pippin, beside the search for the treasure of Marco Polo, also wanted to take pictures of the flora and fauna with their new Camera to present them after their return to Europe. Dr. Kilroy instead wanted not only cinematographic but living examples, especially of rare butterflies. Their companion was Babloo, a young Indian. He knew all the jungle and the overgrown paths in it. So the four friends along with Pippins dog "Indi" and Babloos monkeys started their adventure. The group had to stop at a beautiful idyllic waterfall. Puppin sets up her camera and Dr. Kilroy climbed with Babloo's help, loaded with boxes and bags full of specimens and equipment to the top of the Waterfall to catch butterflies and dragonflies. But suddenly a noise broke through the air. It was the shouting of monkeys who had snatched Pippin's camera and taken it to the tops of the trees. Pippin and Johnny Thunder started to laugh because of the absurdity of the spectacle. Babloo just headed downhill to help his new friends, as he discovered something that let him freeze: He spotted the evil guards of the Scorpion Palace on the other side of the waterfall. Worse, it was obvious that it they had discovered Johnny and Pippin. One of the guards was already aiming his rifle towards Johnny and luckily the path of the bullet was blocked by a tree hanging over the waterfall. Farther up, at the top of the waterfall, the situation became dramatic too. The boat of Maharaja Lallu was nearly falling down the waterfall, but was kept in place by one of the guards on the shore. The shake on landing woke up Lord Sinister in the back of the boat. He was waking up from his nap and could not believe his eyes. There, on the other bank standing on a stone was Dr. Kilroy. Lord Sinister pulled himself up and quickly pulled his revolver but could not concentrate on aiming because Maharaja Lallu was cursing annoyingly. How will our heroes escape these dangerous situations? (Sadly I only have my mobile here to take pictures so the quali is not that great...) Inspired by Mark of Falworth - The Temple of the Twin Jaguars Also bonus pics of the figures: I hope you enjoy what you see. Best Skalldyr

Quinnsville Cocoa Plantation QV3.5 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr After safely arriving in Quinnsville via the Cocovia Wagon Way, Richard and Nathaniel Brickford set about going straight to work. While Richard went off to see about a place to stay until a proper house could be built, Nathaniel went off for a walk to stretch his legs after the sitting for so long. He ended up following his nose to a cocoa plantation on the outskirts of the settlement. He found the manager of the plantation and promptly asked for a tour of the area. He wrote down his findings in his notes and composed his first letter to Captain Cooke on Quinnsville. QV3.2 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr Dear Captain Jno. Cooke, RN, The state of Quinnsville is better off then originally perceived. While it has not seen very much growth since the retirement and sudden disappearance of Sir Smaugton, the settlement is operating business as usual. Just today I had the chance to tour one of the many cocoa plantations spread throughout the settlement. While the techniques that they use are still rather primitive, they effectively harvest vast amounts of raw cocoa each day. On a whole, I believe the entire settlement will be similar in the lack of modern conveniences, but that should be a relatively easy fix, given time and some dedicated care. I will begin the inspection of the fortifications and the troops before the week is out. Hopefully the lack of proper leadership has not made them relax in their regular duties and drills. In service to her Majesty, Captain Nathaniel Brickford, Military Attaché to Quinnsville QV3.3 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr Here is a close up of the tree for those interested. This whole build was inspired (and basically copied ) from @Ayrlego's cocoa plantation. I also reversed engineered the tree from his design. C&C are both welcome and apprecieated! Thanks for checking it out!

[COR - CH II - Cat B] The Fatu Hiva Expedition - Base of Operations -------------------- Expedition Log: Part 1 Part 2 -------------------- Journal entry of Sergeant Anthony Andrews, Aide-De-Camp to Major Nathaniel Brickford. Day 12, After two long days of traversing through the dense jungles of Île d'Or, we finally reached the clearing that Tuk Tuk told us about. It was a little smaller than we first anticipated, however the well trained troops quickly got to work. We tried to remain as quiet as possible, but we needed to make a temporary palisade to protect ourselves. We dug down and cut bamboo in order to make a slightly camouflaged campsite. From past 10 yards we were invisible. The Fatu Hiva Expedition - Base of Operations 1 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr After most of the camp had been set up and the men were put on sentry duty, the major, Tuk Tuk, and myself began to form a course of action. Tuk Tuk told us that we were most certainly already being watched by the enemy. That was confirmed later when we started to hear the distant sound of war drums. We were within striking distance of the savage tribe, but we still didn't know what we were truly up against or even where they were located. Tuk Tuk began to tell us about the surrounding landscape as we brainstormed some ideas. The Fatu Hiva Expedition - Base of Operations 2 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr Tuk Tuk told us that the tribe would most likely be centered around a cave. The natives were very superstitious and in some of the caves there were shiny stones and veins of gold, which they believed gave them special powers. So we had to be prepared for a conflict in the darkness of a cave. Major Brickford believed that this could be a forgotten treasure and if what Tuk Tuk was saying was accurate, then there could be a fortune to be made on Île d'Or! We had priorities though, so we decided that before we finalized any plan we would find a vantage point and physically locate the natives campsite and find how strong their numbers were before attacking. It would not be long before we could liberate this island of this terror. -------------------- This is my second entry to Category B. More builds and more of the Fatu Hiva Expedition to follow! I was thinking this will fit as a small residence. C&C are welcome and appreciated and thanks for looking!

Hello, I would like to share project I have started some time ago. This is going to be remake of Adventurers series (which was and still is the best series that LEGO gave us). Started with vehicles but already working on rebuilt version of Anubis Temple (5988). Color scheme was choosen because of Pharaoh's Quest one. Decided to use dark red instead of e.g. tan because it's easier to buy dark red parts and they are cheaper. And let's be honest - dark red is really nice color. For Bad Guys I decided to use darker colors - black and dark grey/bluish grey. Maybe in future will use dark blue and dark green - each color for each villain crew. I think that would be nice and bring lot of variety. Recolored version of Bad Guys' car from set 5948. Recolored Scorpion Tracker 5918. Good Guys' car inspired by 10222 post office car. Good Guys' plane. Layout borrowed from The Sea Duck from "TaleSpin" cartoon, still WIP.

Hey Checkout the update to my Lego Islanders themed anniversary set that is heavily inspired by the enchanted island statue which is now standing in a vibrant jungle environment. Please support this idea if you like it because I really need all the support to stay in the long game of getting 10k support and making this happen. SUPPORT NOW Islanders Spirit Beacon The islanders are a rare sight these days. It has been more than 20 years since the Islanders pointed spear and arrow at pirate and soldier alike. After many years of glorious combat the last of the proud warrior-zealots were defeated. Their strongest leader: shaman king Kahuka still walks the eternal planes. The Islanders enchanted island has been looted and pillaged, the tribes scattered to the winds. A beacon of hope remains deep in the jungle on one of the islands in the archipelago of many waters. A faceless warrior priestess of the old gods is gathering the scattered tribes. The whispers beneath her mask speaks of king Kahuka's return. Broken spears are mend, arrows sharpened, howling of restless spirits in the night. This "spirit beacon" is heavily inspired by the original statue design that came with the Lego Islanders enchanted island set 6278-1 in 1994. It's a scaled up version with many new details that is nice as a nostalgic reminder or as a new playset. The spirit beacon has multiple chunks that can be taken apart easily for different play configurations. The statue has a compartment in the back that can serve as a prison or inner sanctum. A trapdoor leads to a small dungeon compartment were captain cheekbones lurks A treasure chest is hidden behind the different detachable faces of the head. The remaining Islanders have adapted to use stealth instead of numbers, Therefore most of the warriors use the jungle mud and leaves to conceal themselves. Its probably problematic that they still use the same bright painted shields and faces :P The zealots and priestess paint themselves with the classic red paint of the Islanders They are worthy of invoking the spiritual essence that is embedded within the shrine of the beacon. Mini-figs as seen from left to right: Shaman king Kahuka's spirit, special translucent Islanders anniversary fig :) Faceless priestess, current leader, Zealot warrior; melee specialist, Scaled warrior; stealth specialist, Veteran warrior, defense specialist, Young blood warrior, endurance specialist, Man-hunter; path finding and ranged specialist, Captain cheekbones; annoyance specialist, Muddy Monkey, banana specialist. I'm feeling tropical lately, and decided to build something different from my usual medieval-fantasy MOCs - something inspired from vintage jungle adventures and pulp fictions. I hope it's in the appropriate forum category! Every morning, Miss Aurora McGregor would walk around the little tract of jungle she now called home. Several months had passed since the plane crash, since the party sent by the Natural History Museum in search of the lost city of Kibiru got stranded in a forgotten land. Some of the survivors were desperate to come back to civilisation. Others were thrilled to discover a lost world. Aurora ... just felt like she had always belonged here.

Dense vegetation climbs the steep slopes of the Cascadian Mountains. Where birds twitter and monkeys screech, where plants flourish and mighty waterfalls roar - this jaguar leaves no doubt that this is indeed the realm of mighty cats.
-
On their way back from Lake Myzec to Myzectlan, the Myzec have to traverse the dangerous jungles of Cascadia. Their century-lasting fear of the felines of Cascadia has forced them to ensure a safe passage through the jungle. Besides some active watchtowers, there are smaller fighting platforms spread all through the jungles. The Myzec call those defensive platforms "Miraforma". A Miraforma is elevated high enough so that the large carnivorous cats cannot just jump on it. A rope ladder can be reeled up, and the weapons on the platform - mainly bows, quivers with arrows and spears - give even the weakest farmers a chance to defend themselves. I felt that the fight against the felines is such an important aspect of Myzec life that I had to contribute a MOC dedicated towards it to this challenge. Also I wanted to try out some new approaches to both rocks (ok, hardly visible in the dense jungle, bot still there) and especially to plants. Some more pictures show: The empty scene without minifigures: The Myzec running towards the Miraforma: And some of my plant creations:

Hi everyone, This is a recent build of mine. After the adventure in the jungle and among the Ancient Amazon Ruins, Johnny Thunder and his friends made it back with the boat. Gabarros had left after Johnny paid him and the adventurers are loading the cars to travel back to the airport. Senor Palomar was killed by Achu and Rudo Villano had escaped with a raft on the river. Enraged by seeing the Adventurers after what happened in the Jungle, he stabs Harry Cane. Johnny Thunder is angered by this and grabs his sword and attacks Rudo. How will this end? Feedback and questions are appreciated.

Sergent Eric and his men have wandered nearly a month in the jungle, they were exhausted and at the brink of collapse, when finally, the vegetation became less dense and they saw the white wall of a Corlander fort. -Hurry up, guys, we are save! -It's about time, sarge. - Sir I see some Oleaneses wandering on a chocolate bar muddy path! Should we open fire? - No, they must be the prisoner escorts long awaited. Inform the lieutenant. -Good day, sir, you are late. -Yes, my apology, and we've lost our prisoner, and we are not ashamed of. FInally, our sergent meets Count Mesabi and announced him the "good" news. Of course the Count wasn't so pleased, neverthless he invited the Blues to share his dinner. -Chef, prepare the table for our guests. -Count, I'm afraid that we are a bit low on horses. -Never mind, you can always walk. About the build, I tried to immitate Ayrlego's tower, as it has a strong corrish look.
