Hello! Im new here so I figured the best way to start off would be with a big Moc that I made a little while back! Charabodis is a pretty big figure, standing nearly two feet tall, the design idea was something large, dark, thin, and creepy, and I like to think I pulled it off. You can veiw the flickr album here. I will upload pictures if I can figure out how...

A new MOC from me! If anybody really knows me or has paid attention to my signature or avatar recently, they should know I'm stark raving bonkers about Muse (a British rock band), and their recent new album got me inspired to MOC some stuff based on the promotional artworks for the songs. One such artwork is that for Psycho: It's basically a human possessed by a mind virus carrying a baby, and I thought it would make a pretty cool Constraction figure. And here's my result: A full gallery with some alternate views, poses and close-up shots can be found in this Flickr album. Yes, the mottled effect in the artwork is exceptionally difficult to achieve, and probably would have been a lot better in military colours, but since there isn't a wide range of green and olive shells out there, I just dissassembled Jetran'Rex and used silver and gunmetal instead. Comments, praise, constructive criticism, questions and stuff relating to the MOC are welcome. I think there are other places where the song and band that inspired this can be discussed Enjoy!

Toa Sheelika is a femme fatale-esque Toa of lightning. She's a thief and a murdered (in other words, a piraka) but at least she's got style. Sheelika is a character on Finnish Bionicle-ish novel project Klaanon and has been around since its beginning on 2010. There was this old MOC built by the character's creation. I used it as a reference material but made the color scheme starker and added some noir elements like the wide-brimmed hat (probably not canon) and a dramatic collar. I also made the weapons more stylised; I'm especially happy how nasty-looking the shield turned out. I made the mask with SYSTEM pieces. Noble Ruru would have been too small, it is a tad over-used and in the story Sheelika's kanohi is not Ruru but (argueably wether she really needs one) a mask of hypnosis. Building the mask made it possible to add some purple eyeliner so I'm happy with it. The eyes glow in the dark, by the way. There are more pictures and talk on my blog.

Like many I was dissatisfied with the LOSS. It was small, underarticulated, and looked pretty goofy and unfinished. Credit where credit's due though, it was an interesting build and an actual attempt at 2001-style geared Rahi-type enemies. However I wasn't even a fan of the whole giant-spider thing to begin with. Bionicle has had a bit of an odd history with insects and arachnids, and I got my fill of giant not-enough-legs-to-be-a-spider-spiders with the Visorak. So I tried something a tad different. (pardon the not-so-great pics, this thing barely even fits in my lightbox, and the last two were on my workbench) And yes, I count the arms towards the eight limbs. :p Gali for a sense of size: This pics may look awful, but they at least show the full MOC in the light: My backstory for it is that the Lord of Skull Spiders wha originally a villager exiled for terrible crimes and banished to the wilderness. After roaming the land he came in proximity of Makuta's resting place and was approached by him in a dream. Makuta offered the villager the golden Skull mask, armour and power to take revenge on the village if he would serve Makuta and aid in commanding the legions of Skull Spiders to destroy the Toa and Protectors and find the mask of Creation. He accepted, and was transformed into this. Thanks for looking. :3 Comments and crits always welcome.

I came back from the Lego Inside Tour few days ago. One of my favourite items we got, beside the special set, was this exclusive Gali mask. It is made in limited quantity of 200. It was given to us by Bionicle designers. Although I'm not Bionicle fan, I love this mask!

Well, I've decided to venture outside of my comfort zone in Technicland, and post some of my stuff here. I've got a number of small and medium size Bionicle and Hero Factory creations that I feel do not justify their own threads, so I'll post them all in this thread. My first thing for this thread is a Bionicle update of a Galidor alien called Ooni. I have no idea if that is the name of the species, or the individual, or whatever, but i kind of like the freak. Ooni is also the only Galidor set I own, and I have a number of fond memories of playing with him. My copy is complete, aside from the other head. If I recall, there was no configuration of Ooni that looked good, and used all of his parts, so that was quite annoying. Anyway, I originally created this thing for the Battle For The Golden Mask contest, but as I was ineligible to enter, he was put in storage until I brought him out now. If I were to enter him, I would have given him a backstory involving being a horrible, twisted freak of nature from another dimension, who has a touch that causes everything around him to mutate horribly. Anyway, on to pictures. Bionicle Ooni by Saberwing007, on Flickr I kept all of his major features, including his weird jaws, color scheme, 4 arms, 4 legs, and 4 eyes. Ooni closeup by Saberwing007, on Flickr But, he is far more stable and poseable, and has opening jaws as well as poseable thumbs. Ooni Details by Saberwing007, on Flickr Given that the small arms on the original are more mechanical looking, I did the same on mine, with the Glatorian fists in DSG. Ooni Roar by Saberwing007, on Flickr Apparently, some village was able to snap a blurry photo of the beast roaring at nothing in particular. This is for almost ruining Lego forever! by Saberwing007, on Flickr Ooni attacks Ooni for almost ruining Lego forever. He deserves it. Also, this is literally the most dynamic pose I could get out of the original Ooni, as he is not really good for that, though not for the ratchet joints so much as weird proportions. There is probably going to be more creations to come, and if anybody wants instructions or more pictures, just let me know.

Good evening fellowe action figure guys, here's the latest Bionicle creations of mine, Toa Nautilda: Toa Nautilda is a toa of water and protector of Ruki-Koro, a fishing village at the south-west coast of the island of Bio-Klaani. She used to work with Toa Ursanga, who later left the village to move north. Nautilda is tall and strong all-out attacker, in opposite to "agile martial arts master" toa of water trope. She has a heavy trident, sharpened flippers, seashell helmet for serious head-butting and a array of knives that also work as a rudders when swimming. There are more photos and talk on Cyclopic Bricks.

Guardian is a veteran of Zakazian civil war and one of the four three leaders of asylum organization Bio-Klaani. He is a skilled warrior who uses zamor revolver and trustworthy "Watchman" plasma rifle. Guardian lost his left eye in the civil war and now has a multifunctional scope instead. The first version of this MOC was posted in 2010. I've revamped this character several times, and this is the newest one. Somehow this guy is pain to pose and photograph (double joints in the legs make their lenght vary a bit sometimes) but these ones turned out pretty well. There is more on my blog. Thanks you for vieweing.

Here is a quick mod to the Lord of Skull Spiders. I completely rebuilt the torso and took out the grabbing gimmick to install a stud six shooter in his mouth. Cause of this I gave him articulated legs and a small abdomen. Thanks to some Bricklink orders that arrived today I can now show off my mods for the 2015 Toa One thing to mention with all of them except Onua. I built a custom torso since I didn't like the exposed ball joints on Tahu, Pohatu, Gali and Lewa. I didn't with Onua cause of his large chest piece. I won't show how its built until LDD updates. Till then feel free to guess how I built it. Also they all have silver armor save for Tahu and Kopaka's chest plates. I hope in later waves we get Silver Red or White printed chests for Tahu and Kopaka. Gallery when public http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=554632 Tahu I shortened his legs and change his feet from silver to red. Swapped out chest armor for Breakout version. I might change his eyes to orange once I get the summer sets. Front http://www.brickshel...015/tahu001.jpg Side http://www.brickshel...015/tahu002.jpg Back http://www.brickshel...015/tahu003.jpg Weapons stored on back http://www.brickshel...015/tahu004.jpg Secondary Weapon Function http://www.brickshel...015/tahu005.jpg With Gold Mask of Fire http://www.brickshel...015/tahu006.jpg Kopaka I removed the trans blue, Swapped his silver chest for a white Breakout version. Better shield design (Credit to TheDesuComplex) Switched his spear for a custom built sword, Shortened his legs. Shoulder armor is now more like his prototype version Front http://www.brickshel...5/kopaka001.jpg Side http://www.brickshel...5/kopaka002.jpg Back http://www.brickshel...5/kopaka003.jpg Weapons stored on back http://www.brickshel...5/kopaka004.jpg Secondary Weapon Function http://www.brickshel...5/kopaka005.jpg With Gold Mask of Ice http://www.brickshel...5/kopaka006.jpg Onua I changed his torso armor to be bulkier, Swapped his feet for the standard ones. Changed the build to his shoulder armor. Hammer is changed slightly to have a sort of shovel esc handle at the bottom Front http://www.brickshel...015/onua001.jpg Side http://www.brickshel...015/onua002.jpg Back http://www.brickshel...015/onua003.jpg Weapons stored on back http://www.brickshel...015/onua004.jpg Secondary Weapon Function http://www.brickshel...015/onua005.jpg With Gold Mask of Earth http://www.brickshel...015/onua006.jpg Lewa I swapped out his leg armor for larger ones and made his feet green. Changed the build of his axes. Replaced shoulder spikes with the Savage planet Claw/Wing piece. Swapped his torso for the Breakout version. Shortened his arms by one bone length Front http://www.brickshel...015/lewa001.jpg Side http://www.brickshel...015/lewa002.jpg Back http://www.brickshel...015/lewa003.jpg Weapons stored on back http://www.brickshel...015/lewa004.jpg Secondary Weapon Function http://www.brickshel...015/lewa005.jpg With Gold Mask of Jungle http://www.brickshel...015/lewa006.jpg Pohatu I removed the asymmetry. I've had some extreme frustration with my Gali figure from the new lineup. None of the joints work well on her or other CCBS parts. All of the joints are quite weak, making figure posing a nightmare due to a lack of balance. When I threw a custom figure I was making with her parts, it quite literally exploded across the room, which is not a good sign. Is this an isolated incident or a problem with the molds? (If this thread does not need to exist, please merge it wherever necessary.)

SKULL GRINDER This here is a pre-emptive revamp of Skull Grinder, which I used to experiment with some more unique structural building, as well as more slender building. I've had this built for a while, but have only recently got him photographed. Enjoy! And here's his skeleton. Note the upper body structure - I'm very proud of how that turned out :) Whaddya think?

Seeing as the Guurahk staff was used again for Pohatu and Kopaka. It had me thinking what other old Bionicle parts would still work for Gen 2 I personally want to see the Bohrok tooth make a comeback. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=42074 There using Bohrok eyes in summer sets. Skull Scorpion and Skull Grinder. So why not this part as well. Another part I'd like to see is the Vahki waist piece. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=47330 It small and is good for making custom torso's so there's potential for it in CCBS I'd also like to see this piece remolded into the new ball style. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=x1192px1 Its unique and would help with more custom CCBS limb designs. What pieces would you like to see come back for Bionicle Gen 2?

Hello folks! Many people feel disappointed seeing newest incarnation of ToaTahu. Well, I can agree that some details could be made in better way (like arms) but overall I think he's a good set. Not perfect but good. Anyway I decided to give new Bionicle a chance and I bought Tahu. When I finally built him I felt that something is wrong with design - and I slowly began to improve him. And you know what? I really ejnoy this moment! So, here it is. My newest Tahu remake. Brickshelf (no collages) | DeviantArt| Flickr | Blog Don't worry if you feel that pictures are too small. If you go to my flickr/DA gallery (depending on what's your favourite) you should be able to see larger images. If you don't like collages - don't worry, you can still go to my Brickshelf gallery. I'm going to make a short video-presentation but I don't know when I'll finish it. Some details: As you can see his legs are now armoured not only from front but from behind too. I'm not sure about the side-panels but I'm afraid I don't have enough HF red parts. I decided to change his original hands into something a bit different. I came up with some new patents but finally I decided to use something simillar to MrBoltTron's concept because it looks much better. And yeah, he can hold his swords in hands! Last thing in this photo which I mention is armour which covers his gears. Don't worry, you can still rotate them (and arms) but more armour means reduced mobility. Fortunately on acceptable level :) Tahu can hold his swords on his back. The only disadvatage is that he's leaning little backwards but hey - these swords are little heavy! Anyway, for me it's still ok. Original model has a golden mask which makes Tahu more powerful. I made a collage with it: Still looks ok but I'm not sure if red one is better. You see, this construction has many golden parts (probably too much) and it needs some reds for contrast. And - what do you think about using this golden mask for Jaller remake creation? ;) Some extras: "Meet my new pet": Some of you may be wondering - what's happen to Tahu's surfing board? Well, I had so many pictures to process that I totally forgot about this :/ Anyway I hope you enjoyed my creation. And if you like you can ask me about it - I'll try my best to answer all your questions :) Best regards, ~ QQS EDIT Lava Board update:

Set name: CHI Razar Set number: 70205 Pieces: 68 Price: $14.99 Release date: 2013 Packaging and Instructions Bag Front On the front of the bag, we see that Razar now uses his Chi to fight forest fires… Bag Back And on the back, Razar is staring of into the sunset as Gorzan sneaks up behind him. We also see a size comparison of his head, the combo model of Razar+Gorzan, and a comic of Razar using Chi to power up. Instructions Nothing special here. As usual, the same picture as on the front of the bag. Random Page No transparent Eris heads this time, just the standard light blue background. Advertisements Ooh, an ad for all the 2013 Chima ultrabuilds. After that, a display of some of the normal Chima sets. Then there’s an ad for Hero Factory sets. Parts Dumped Out The big parts in the big bag, small parts in the small bag, head in it’s own bag. I wonder why they leave the torso skeleton out of the bag. Interesting Parts First off, the black clawed foot, which I suppose isn’t that interesting, considering that it’s in 17 other sets. The new head mold, of course. A lovely “CHIed” up chest piece, which is printed. I would consider the 5M shell in silver fairly rare, appearing in 6 sets. The lovely 3M shell in a nice purple (medium lilac, according to Brickset), that only appears in this and the Constraction Joker set. That odd weapon piece is only in red in this set, and is in the CHI Eris set as well. And finally, the wing pieces from some of the Mixel and Chima sets, in both black and purple. Head The head is pretty cool, but I really think it would have looked better if there was dark red around the eyes. It has some rivets and cracks in it, which looks good. Building Action Frame Besides the wings, it’s pretty standard. They plug this piece into the back of the skeleton to attach the wings. Finished Build Front The black and purple color scheme here does look good. What would really make it look good would be if there were some dark red pieces in there. I actually like those spike pieces on Razar, they give him a nice look. They kind of remind me of talons. Profile I like how the head is slightly hunched over, contributing to his sly, sinister look. His wings don’t stick too far back. Back Wouldn’t it have been nice if they had included an extra shell back here? It looks sort of bare, but the wings do a decent job of bulking up the shoulders. Posing Like most CCBS sets, it has quite a few points of articulation. As one would expect, the wings can move around pretty well, just like extra limbs. Weapons I’m not really sure about those red pieces. On the Lego Shop description it says that they are supposed to be scythes. And those blue pins look pretty bad up close. I think it would look better if these were dark red though. Overall Razar looks pretty neat; He’s rocking a nice color scheme, and if they wanted him to look sinister, they succeeded. But reviewing him made me appreciate Bionicle 2015 so much more. This set is lacking the complexity and uniqueness of Bionicle, as well as the battle in a box idea (the Skull Spiders). Overall, it’s definitely not the best set Lego has ever made, but it is pretty good. I would suggest picking it up if you can.

"New legends awake, but old lessons must be remembered. This is the way of the Bionicle." +=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+ Hey guys. I've started to do a new project: building the Matoran and Turaga from G1. Or at least most of them. A shoutout to CallanLof for the hand design. He does some cool Bionicle stuff, so you might want to check him out. C&C most certainly welcome!

Vahi, the Protector of Time, who used to guard the legendary Mask of Time found a suit of armor from a past time which granted him immense power. He dubbed it, "Tengen Toppa Goruden Toa" which means "Heaven-Piercing Golden Warrior" in the ancient Okotese language. He has since left the Mask of Time in the hands of other Protectors and left Okoto to pierce his fate and save a universe trapped in an endless cycle of violence. His last words to the Protector of Fire, who questioned his decision were, "Of course I must leave! Who the Karzahni do you think I am? Mine are the spear, flamethrower and blaster that will pierce the heavens and fined the mythical being Mata Nui. Farewell, brother. Do not believe in the Vahi that believes in you, or the you that believes in Vahi, but the you that believes in you." After that, the other Protectors never saw Vahi again, though they can sometimes hear the sound his finishing move, Giga Spear Slash.

So, I'm new to Bionicle. I am getting the new 2015 Pohatu and Protector of Stone with some Christmas money. I need some opinions on where I should go from there with these new 2015 sets.

On this eve of the new Bionicle release this subforum is full of set reviews and villain contest MOCs... and I wonder if there is room for one boss Toa of electricity and her crab friend? This MOC is character from Klaanon, Finnish Bionicle-ish novel project written by the remains of Finnish (ex-)bionicle community. Tawa is the primal leader of the organization Bio-Klaani. I've build this character numerous times before, but this time I built the mask from scratch to achieve the trans-blue lens which is an iconic feature of her outlook. The old yellow Hau used on the previous versions alwys felt too masculine and orgulous for this character. I also build Nöpö, the dwarf Ussal crab mascot of the organization. There are lot of more photos on my blog.

Hello again! From the beginning of December 2014 LEGO gave me an opportunity to play with new Bionicle 2015 pieces. 50 Kilos. In return I had to build some MOCs and sent them my photos. LEGO gave me 2 weeks of pleasure. After that time I had to sent them back all Bionicle 2015 pieces and all MOCs I created with them. They said they would like to use them for Public Relations purposes. But they also said I can use photos in my gallery/forum etc. If you're interested in more details, you can see my little propaganda video: ... don't forget to turn captions on! Ok, I think I made my point and it is good time to show my MOCs. I decided to post here only some basic pictures and links - that's because I don't want to make topic too huge. More infos about heroes and others in my flickr/DA descriptions: FlickR (all project Bionicle 2015 photos) DeviantArt (all project Bionicle 2015 photos, additional gallery) FlickR (my second account) (photos of 50 kilos, new Bionicle parts etc.) I also give some links related to topic on my blog. I'm sorry I didn't translate it into English but I think it my be more practical to show MOCs' photos in that way. I don't think that the text is interesting - on flickR/DA should be all of my story in English. 1. Dark Lord BRICKSHELF A topic on my blog (some extra photos). The Bush of Power: 2. So recently, inspired by an offhand comment my twin brother made about wanting to see/build an updated version of the classic Nui-Rama set, I decided to try my hand at a MOC. After much planning, preparation on LDD, and scavenging parts from recent Technic sets, the result is what you see here. A "Skull Sandfly" (still not 100% sold on the name, but I like the alliteration). I tried to recreate the look of the classic set while giving it a much-needed update, with CCBS parts replacing the classic low-posability Bionicle limbs and the dated Throwbot/Slizer gearbox cleared out to make way for a custom gearbox which utilizes the knob gears from this year's Technic-heavy Toa and Lord of Skull Spiders. The function looks better (thanks in part to the wings from Gorast and Thornraxx) and arguably works better, with less wobble and a better grip for the handle. The jaw and claws are now posable, thanks to parts from last year's Hero Factory sets, and the eyes are now solidly attached instead of weirdly popping off like other masks. And at 103 pieces, it gives the original a run for its money in terms of bulk and building experience as well.
