  1. I cannot even begin to understand how you guys manage to do this, awesome job everyone. My 3 points go to Praiter Yed.
  2. Welcome from a fellow Belgian!
  3. Welcome! I'm sure you'll love it here, this place is amazing.
  4. Nice little set and great review! My son is going to be crazy about these dinos! Am I the only one to think Crocodile Dundee for the guy on the left!?
  5. It's no secret that the stars... are falling from the sky!

  6. Great article, thanks for sharing!
  7. Nice MOC! Plenty of good ideas in there, the blood on the ground is nicely done. Who's the guy in the armored vehicle?
  8. Thank you for this great feedback! I was really looking forward to read the opinion of someone who is also into U2. I knew I would not be able to reproduce exactly the original stage so I tried to do something "inspired by it" and I was hoping I would not loose the essence of the show in the process. Yeah, the Trabants are cute little cars - I will probably not be able to keep the stage built for very long because that thing is pretty huge and eating up all my building space... but I'll certainly keep the cars. What did you think of the video?

    The Road

The cart is made with 3 of these that are held together by a one of these (+ other pieces in between). I'm not too fond of this type of "build" but I really could not find a better way to reproduce a shopping cart at a MF scale.

    The Road

Thanks for the feedbacks! I agree, the problem is that I wanted to fit this on a 16*16 base and that's why I end up with a 4 studs wide car, I tried a 6-wide but it was not working.

    The Road

For some reason I was in a post apocalyptic mood... and I can't stop being inspired by the Hazmat fig face! That movie was really good, I should probably get the book...
  12. Everything fits perfectly, the mood, the action, the style, everything screams Gotham city. Awesome job!
  13. On November 19 2011, "Achtung Baby" is turning 20 years old... well... this is my birthday present to this mythical album! On Wikipedia, the Zoo TV tour is described as an "elaborately-staged multimedia event"... Truth is, it is hard to describe this show, it was something new, improbable, insane! The Trabants, the giant screens, MacPhisto and the Fly, the prank phone calls... It is a masterpiece of pop culture! A huge thanks to my friend Pixel Fox for his help with the Photoshopping! The Trabants… I think only the band really knows why it the world they choose to use Trabants as spotlights on the ZOO TV stage…now it’s history. The cars were painted by the artist .If after having seen these pictures you hear a voice inside of you shouting that "it's no secret that the stars are falling from the sky"... Well, I have a little extra something for you... Turn up the volume, click on this link and prepare yourself for 50 seconds of happiness! Enjoy!
  14. One day in the life of a Superhero... Today: Invisible Woman is doing some shopping! ... Ok, ok, I know this forum is full of skepticals... I can already hear the complaints "How do you know Invisible Girl is there, na na na? This is just a street with no one on it.." Well, I put my brick where my mouth is and I give you the thermal vision shot! AH!
  15. Thanks for the feedbacks! Hehe... This fig is an Old White Classic Space coming straight from my MF graveyard. I must have done that slash on the torso when I was a kid... No idea what I was trying to do... Perhaps remove the Classic Space logo... ah, kids...
  16. Hi! So... I managed to find some 30% peroxyde (bought in a pharmacy, 12euro/1 litre) and I did some additional experiments. The results are really impressive! I built this little tutorial/comic to describe the technique used and to show the results. Here is just 1 "before/after" picture to give you an idea: In summary, now that I have done this a few times, I found that you need at least 10% concentration peroxyde to make it really worth it. For bricks that are really in bad shape you'll even need the 30%. Another element to take into consideration is the price, peroxyde does not come cheap so you may want to use it preferably on rarer bricks rather than on you entire collection! I also tried to salvage the mixture after using it a first time but it was not really a success. I don't know if it is the reaction to the mix of oxy & peroxyde but the thing is generating some gas (oxygen?)... despite the fact that I placed it in a strong plastic jar the pressure grew too strong for the cap. After a few days I think all the gas got away and the mixture appeared to have lost its whitening action.
  17. A few weeks ago I read this post on how to make old yellowed white bricks look brand new again... so I did a couple of experiments myself and the results are really impressive! Here is a small tutorial/comic on how to achieve this. Please note that the colors have not been reworked with Photoshop. The bricks used as sample in this experiment are 20 years old and had to stay in a 30% peroxyde mixture to become white again. The colored parts have not been damaged in any way. To conclude, here are 2 before/after shots: If you wish to discuss the technique, please do so in the appropriate thread, this topic is only about the MOC/Comic. Thanks for watching!
  18. Deep below the city of Gotham stands the lab of Dr Victor Fries aka Mister Freeze! Fries is keeping his wife Nora in cryo-stasis in the hope of finding a cure to her disease. The lighting effect is achieved thanks to a mirror placed underneath the vignette that has a translucid floor. I unfortunately do not have any of the official figs... (dark age...) so this is a custom version! Thanks for watching and good luck to all in the contest!
  19. Awesome! Thank you for the raffle and for opening this to all countries (Too bad the official Lego contest is only opened to US residents...) Just 1 question, how many figs are you giving away?
  20. Done, you have my vote! Good luck!
  21. That would be a veeery steep slope! ...or dogs with super powers!
  22. I got mixed feelings from this one... on one hand I truly feel bad for you (if only you had not posted that one yet), on the other hand it's a bit of a relief because... man, that scene is epic! If this had been an entry in the comp I think the staff could have called it a day right away!
  23. That's also what I thought when I first saw this.. but man, this is awesome. Can't wait for version 3, with power functions, mindstorm stuff and something to count the score! You should post this on the cusoo website!
  24. Wow, I had no idea! I should probably have paid more attention in chemistry class! Now in need to look for more concentrated peroxide... I'll post an update if I find some..
  25. The bricks stayed in the solution for approximately 8 hours (10AM until 6PM) it was a sunny day but the sun exposure was probably of 6 hours max. I believe the solution I used is 10% - I'm no chemist but the bottle says "stabilised, 10 volumes" maybe someone can confirm on that. I actually did 2 tests, the one in the picture is the first one I did with a small quantity of 1*1 plates - the second attempt was a full cup of random bricks and for that one I used +-200ml of peroxyde. For the 2 tests I used 2 teaspoons of oxy - which was probably too much for the first try as not all of it was dissolved in the end but the outcome was similar with the 2 attempts.
