Very nice job-- feels like an actual building. Detail is superb, esp. on the outside!

Quite simply, a vision in SNOT. That series was still some of the best Batman ever committed to the screen. Nice job, keep up the great work!

To answer my own question, one Brickset member is reporting a $34.99 price tag for 3222 at WalMart, and a full ten dollars higher at $44.99 at TRU. As I said, I have yet to see it at either, so I have no official confirmation-- but I thought others might like to know.
-
According to Brickset, the 3222 Helicopter and Limousine set is popping up in WalMarts and even Targets in the United States as of Friday 30 July. Anyone have word on the USD$ price???
-
I'm becoming more and more intrigued by this set... Curious if some of the more seasoned train enthusiasts think this is a good starting point to get into the train business??
-
Three of 'em, right on the end cap. East Coast, if that means anything.
-
Actually saw it in the store itself yesterday. Also had all train stuff EXCEPT the Station, which of course is the one I was most interested in picking up. The stock was too fresh for it to have been there and already snatched up; they just didn't have it. Looking forward to seeing if the Heli & Limo and/or Family Home show up next week...
-
Great news-- the Family Home and the Helicopter and Limo are actually on U.S. soil as we speak!
-
Nice-- great example of how one can still put together a really nice layout without going modular.

The problem with me for this theme is all the supernatural elements Disney stuffed into the series as it evolved, with all the zombie pirates and barnacle mutants it's become famous for. Personally, the first movie was clearly the best, most likely because it was more of a pirate movie with sci-fi/horror elements rather than a sci-fi movie with a pirates setting. We might get some great headgear, weapons and torsos out of the line, not to mention what will probably be some interesting sets... but I'm just not all that interested in hammerhead-heads or claw-fisted octopus minifigs. Isn't that what Atlantis is for??

Haven't had the pleasure of getting the Helicopter and Limo yet (one of the first sets that intrigued me about City), and I'm very interested in picking up both the City house and several pieces of the train line... But, I have gotten my hands on almost all of the others, and of them all I surprised myself by voting for the Airport. In terms of build, design, and just how substantial it is for the price, I found myself pretty impressed. Like I said, I could very well see myself voting for the Train Station, but I'll have to wait for a true assessment.

In case anyone cares-- just got back from Target and saw that they've clearanced the Garage to $69.98 USD... Between the City house, the Wampa Cave, the minifigs, the horizon-looming Imperial Flagship, the Winter Bakery (and hopefully Toy Shop re-release), and the various train sets, I just don't think it's on my list anymore despite a pretty good price. Going to be an interesting second half of the year.

Minifg collectors series 2 pics and barcodes

Droooooooooooooooo- Liiinnggg over here... It's times like these I wish I was European, obviously -
I know I'm not the popular opinion here-- but I think I'll predominantly skip this theme. As much as I've loved pirates, the Pirates trilogy is so stuffed full of sci-fi elements that it loses my interest a bit. I'm sure there'll be some great torsos and headgear, but I'm also turned off by the idea of fleshies-- I've had a hard time converting my SW universe over and I'm quite happy with all the yellows I already have. On the other hand, a Port Royal set is very intriguing, fleshies or not. Have to wait and see, I suppose... Oh, and speaking of Pirates novels, I'm just finishing up the late great Michael Crichton's posthumous release, Pirate Latitudes. Not his best work, but it's a good ol' fashioned pirate romp with privateers vs. the fleet of the Spanish main. Definitely worth recommending to fellow pirates afols!!
-
Dang! FANTASTIC build... I'm suddenly imagining the possibilities if the next modular building was revealed to be City Hospital.... (drooooooooooool)
-
That directly translates to about $72 USD. I wonder then if they'll sit it at $69.99, or push it to $74.99 or beyond...
-
I'm with Tiger-- we already have the police quad from the Mobile Command Center, but maybe one more might not hurt either so a 30013 sounds good. And I'll probably grab at least 2 of the 30011 to patrol the waters. But 30012... meh. Borders on ridiculous.
-
I'm with BrickClick... the distribution of the Toy Shop was so crazy last year, so many of us never got it. I'd love to see them re-release the set as an Exclusive or Legends because one day there might be an entire line of these things, and so many of us will have never gotten the first one.

Give it to me. NOW. Great work, Whung!

LEGO Collectable Minifigures General Discussion
Mr. Elijah Timms replied to Nabii's topic in Special LEGO Themes
If I do say so, I believe it was one of my concepts in the big Minifig Ideas thread. If this keeps up, we'll have a whole circus without ever actually introducing a set! Surprised they're doing another Indian so quickly, but I'm not complaining... I hope the alien has the small kid legs. And the hula girl sounds like total win. Hope to grab a few to help better populate my Enchanted Island... -

So let's get this straight: 1. Mariachi guy-- extra maraca 2. Karate champ-- extra trophy! I can't help but wonder what extras might await with the rest of the figs in the set: 3. Lifeguard-- extra flotation, er, thing? (Wouldn't count on it). 4. Vampire-- an extra bat? (Perhaps) 5. Witch-- extra broomstick (seems like too big of a piece) 6. Disco Dude-- an extra album piece (again, maybe but unlikely) 7. Pharoah-- extra staff (forget it, won't happen) 8. Spartan-- extra spear or shield? (yeah right) 9. Mime-- extra heads (we already know we're getting those) 10. Adventurer-- extra magnifying glass (maybe, big score if we do) 11. PopStar-- extra microphone (very likely, as valuable as the fig itself!) 12. Surfer Dude-- extra surfboard (no way, never happen) 13. Ringleader-- extra whip (hmmm, maybe? prob not) 14. Weightlifter-- extra barbells (hope so!*) 15. Motorcycle Cop-- extra ticket brick or handcuffs (all but a certainty! Prob the cuffs but would love extra tickets) 16. Skier-- extra pole or ski?? (Even if it's just one ski, that's a win-- i.e. buy 2 figs get a whole new set of skis!) *Personally, I'm hoping for an extra set of barbells. As I've said before, I got an extra caveman and threw a regular City head with the typical sports car hair on him, so now the as-yet-unfinished circus has its own strongman in a leopard-skin get-up. Looks great, but the barbell would be the finishing touch! -
Outstanding collection and photography. What I like most is the scale represented in your picture-- you really get a feel for how big one ship is in relation to another. And dang, is that flagship HUGE.

10210 Imperial Flagship Future Availability
Mr. Elijah Timms replied to Mos_Eisley's topic in LEGO Pirates
I've seen that as of this weekend, the IFS is now available in the U.S. from both the TRU and Target web sites. No word on if they'll actually show up in retail stores themselves, but I'd doubt it. Such a high-priced specialty set could sit on the shelves for awhile, so why over-stock it if the diehard fan will just chase it down online? I must admit, I've been holding out with this one for several reasons: 1. I was hoping I might be able to catch it with a sale or discount, and 2. I've only recently partially disclosed my AFOL tendencies to my wife, and the price tag might be too much for her to understand/tolerate. "Ahoy, this 'ere one'll require more delicate navigation that the Windward Passage in Hurricane Season, I'll be blown!!! Yarrr!" -
Yikes. With all due respect to everyone who's finally getting a chance to get their own AT-AT... I'm just not impressed with this one. It seems better than the motorized edition (which I don't own), but at the same time it appears to be a poor man's version of the original AT-AT (which I do have). In comparison to the '03, it's very very similar, although the body seems a bit shorter. On top of that, there's just so many little things that aren't that bad, but just seem inferior-- the use of shovels, pistols and hammers(??), the absence of the printed radar dish pieces for the leg joints, the greebling doesn't seem as impressive, and what's with the camel hump??? Of course, there are some things that I do like about this one, certainly more than the motorized design: The area on the body just above the head looks pretty nice, and the head seems to be an improvement on the 2003, which was aesthetically pleasing but not so structurally sound. I do love the new Han torso but not enough to buy the set.

Cool. Where'd that guy's torso come from?
