I like this a lot, just as I liked your previous one. You have a way of building that leaves very crisp, clear builds with smooth surfaces, and the end results are great. The logo is particularly nice - as I said on Flickr, it's necessarily a lot more angular than the original, but still instantly recognisable. Could the ring possibly have been done with rigid 3mm tube?

Ooh, shiny! And huge! It's superb. Chrome Block City is a very reliable source for chrome pieces, with super fast shipping. I'd recommend it to anyone.

Wow, these are some great MOCs you're presenting here today. I'll support this - the scale and shape is perfect, and the use of cardboard is an inspired choice. Well done!
-
This is hugely impressive. How many bricks does this contain?
-
Like I said on Flickr (but don't mind repeating here), I think the Vette is just about perfect.
-
Ah! I misunderstood your first post - I thought you meant: "If you make another building, you can enter that into the contest" - not "If you make another building, you can add that to the one you've already got and enter them both" :D I can see clearly now :)

I love this, it's easily recognisable as Scandinavian - had it been white instead of red, it could just as well have been Norwegian. A very nice stuga :) and the little porch is adorable! Exactly :D
-
Which is what I said.

...but you'd need to make it 32x32 studs - or 2x 16x32... :)

Unofficial LEGO Sets/Parts Collectors Guide 1949-90s
L@go replied to LEGO Historian's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Your posts are very interesting and I go through all your links - so please don't think that people are ignoring your work just because there aren't all that many answers! I'm very puzzled by a couple of the Norwegian bricks - the writing on one of them is "DROSJ" - which doesn't make sense. There's an E missing: "DROSJE" means 'taxi', "DROSJ" doesn't mean anything. Strange! The choice of the word "BANKEN" is also weird - it means 'the bank' - logically, it should be "BANK", both in Norwegian and Swedish... Interesting nevertheless :) -
Yeah. I hope you get it done before Skærbæk! :)
-
Indeed. My first Lego convention, I don't quite know what to expect. Looking forward to meeting you, too, and seeing those amazing ships! On topic: Do you expect to get back to the Consul Pust soon?
-
I'm coming, and looking forward to it! :)
-
I've been there twice, and I'd say no: There's nothing there that you won't have seen if you've been to a Lego store before. I don't know where you're from, but it's also worth noting that Lego is very expensive in Denmark. So, most likely, whatever you find there, you'll probably find cheaper in a store closer to you (if there is one) or on S@H.

Every time I look at pics of your ships, I catch myself smiling - mainly because it's ridiculous how you manage to build such gorgeous models :) I'm running out of superlatives!
-
What makes you say that? Your topic has, as of now, 2226 views since you made the first post in March :) I love the new fire truck - it's so full of detail. Very nice to see a car from you that can actually hold a minifig, too. The scale is just about perfect. Now, when will you be revealing some more details about this MegaMOC of yours...?
-
That is one gorgeous locomotive! And the paintjob is perfect. Very well done.
-
That's a nice idea, if a little violent. I'd have preferred it without the two last pictures... :) Sorry, it's the custom 'Spill/Splat' piece from BrickForge.
-
I'm intrigued by the hairpiece in this picture: I haven't seen it before - to my knowledge it's no official piece (though I'd love to be wrong) and it's nowhere to be found in the BF shop, either. Can somebody shed some light on this?
-
Let me just chime in with the others here - it's wonderful! The text and those turquoise pieces are the obvious things that jump out at you, but that curved glass ceiling on the inside is great, too. And so is the brick wall. Great job!
-
Great work again - I especially like the idea of a garage (with a workspace) on the ground floor, and your usual lovely interiors. The bay window and the colours are also very nice - there's a very high standard on the things you do :)
-
It's huge! But very well done, looks unusually realistic for a modern Lego train - it's not easy to achieve those kinds of curves with bricks. I'm impressed :)
-
Your personal massager? I'm glad you wrote it correctly for the rest of your post, because inviting several people to your massage would have been a bit strange, especially as many as four - or six... Sorry for going off-topic right away, but that was too good to ignore!
-
I agree with the others - it's a lovely building, just like we've come to expect from you. My favourite details are the RCA connectors on the TV and the great work you've done on the scaffolding - it's the kind of thing that makes it stand out from other MOCs.

From what I've seen on this forum during the roughly three years I've been visiting it, I would estimate that the vast majority of the members here agrees with you about Megabloks. I would also estimate that the vast majority disagrees with you about BrickForge, BrickArms, Arealight and so on. The reason for that is most likely that while Megabloks is part of a major toy company which competes directly with Lego, the other ones are not - they're small companies started by Lego fans to offer items that aren't currently manufactured by Lego itself. As I said earlier: It's a matter of adding to the Lego experience as opposed to replacing the Lego experience. That said, nobody's denying you your right to a differing opinion :)
