  1. You're welcome :) the model was nice in itself, but the fact that it opened up was the clincher for me. Well done!

  2. It's gorgeous! Great job, I think you've captured what you say you were aiming for quite perfectly. My thoughts exactly!
  3. It's as easy as making it the terminus. One of the busiest railway lines in Norway goes between Oslo and Bergen. I live in Bergen, and the line stops here. You could turn something like this into a decent modular building (although the Bergen train station is obviously a bit too large for that):
  4. Congratulations to all the winners - worthy winners, I might add. So many fantastic entries in this contest that it was really hard to choose between them. Well done, everyone! And kudos to Rufus for organising such a great contest. I hope there'll be another one later so I can take part in the action :)
  5. Quality stuff as always from you. The colours are subtle and look wonderful together, and I think that my favourite part of this building is the roof. The interior is also very nice - I only wish there'd been a couple of extra rooms, but obviously there's no place to put them :) maybe a solution could be to put this next to another modular building with a shop on the ground floor, have access between the buildings on the first and second floors, and then add more hotel rooms there. I actually quite like that idea, maybe I'll buy the instructions from you and try that out!
  6. Let me first say that you must be clinically insane to keep this unbelievable project going. In this case, being clinically insane is definitely a good thing. It's massive! I'd love to see any part of this in real life - but I'd go with medib's suggestion of 5 and 7, or maybe 5 and 6b. This is going to be one of the world's greatest town layouts when it's done - if not the greatest.
  7. Sounds like you've been looking at this photoset, "Enchanted Waters" by Flickr user :jovian: -
  8. I agree with the Aussie here, it's a great creation overall, but those glass awnings are particularly nice :)
  9. When Eurobricks' resident CMF Expert says... ...I know who I'm inclined to believe! Images that are blurry and of poor quality and strange-looking preliminary designs? We see this all the time from Lego.
  10. Your creations are not for the purists as they involve modifying and painting, but my oh my does the end result look great :) I love the brickwork and the custom stickers.
  11. This is really nice! And the colour choices are spot-on. A lot of these on the roads up here during the winter - but hopefully we're done with the winter for now... The snowplow is just about perfect.
  12. Alright, I admit it. I can reveal that there aren't any left in Norway, either :)
  13. It's been a while since I had anything to do with Technic, but I owned a few sets when I was a kid, and I can still appreciate the more advanced form of Lego building. My votes are mainly based on aesthetics :) 13) 3 votes 10) 2 votes 14) 2 votes Best of luck to all!
  14. While I still think the images look rendered, I don't think you're proving anything. The screwdrivers could just as well be dark bley, and the plates are clearly 6x10, not 6x8. The 6x10 plates exist in dark green.
  15. Wow. G o b s m a c k e d. It never ceases to amaze me how people have that kind of patience and ability to plan on such a large scale. It's hugely impressive, and makes me want to go back to NYC even more to see it in real life. Incredibly well done. Give yourself a good round of applause :)
  16. This is so nice - just the perfect build to add some life to a city layout. Brilliant!
  17. I second that - I'd love to see it brick-built. The interior on the top floor in particular is excellent!
  18. Very, very nice! Just like your previous buildings. The colours work perfectly together, and the building reeks of exclusivity, like it should for a premium brand. And the way you recreated that logo in the window - pure genius. Well done!
  19. I'd love to see some more pictures. To me, your pics could just as well be high-quality renderings - there's something a bit 'unreal' about them, regarding the shadows, the reflections, and the colours. I'm completely open to that being down to chance, and it's entirely possible that they're totally legitimate, so I absolutely don't want to accuse you of cheating. But then again, I don't understand why it would be a problem for you to submit some additional pictures (it's not hard to take pictures of poorer quality)...
  20. How great would it be if the real thing looked like that? Some people working in that building tend to behave like clowns anyway, so why not add a bit of silliness to it...
  21. I really like this - particularly the exterior. I've seen people create what are essentially two different facades with one interior across both before, and it works very well. It's a brilliant way to keep the interior spacious while still getting a varied streetscape. The busy interior is also spot-on for an antique shop. Well done!
  22. Thanks - it works now.
  23. This is almost impossible - but I managed to get it down to six, so that I could award lisqr two points for that brilliant modular system. There are so many great entries - but these are my favourites: 12) 2 votes 2) 1 vote 17) 1 vote 19) 1 vote 38) 1 vote 45) 1 vote Well done, everybody. I wish I'd had the time to enter this, but instead I'll just marvel at the outstanding architecture you've put on display here :)
  24. I know which set you're talking about, as I've seen pics of it before, but that image you're linking to shows up in my browser as "Please visit http://www.1000steine.com/ or http://www.brickset.com/ to view this image." I'd be surprised if I'm the only one this happens to... Regarding the set: I like the glider. The car, however, is seriously ugly and a big step back from recent Town designs.
  25. ...and if it isn't there, could it be this one?
