While I prefer the modern LEGO car look, these take me right back to the sets I grew up with, and you're incredibly good at incorporating new elements into the old-fashioned style. These could easily have been modern sets, if LEGO had stuck by the way they designed vehicles in the '90s. And, by the way, your army (that's the only word to describe it) of emergency vehicles in Cologne was most impressive to see. For those of you who weren't there, have a look at these two pictures... :D

This is really nice - tons of great little details here. Another superb entry, and one that stands out a bit from the others. It's an unusual and different idea. I like it!

Yeah, there are some amazing entries here and this is one of the best. I love the porch, it's a detail that sets it apart from the other entries and the official buildings in the series thus far. The interior is great, and the while idea of a jeweler's store is very good. And the proposal is a great touch! Well done.

This is gorgeous, one of my favourites thus far. I love the layers of colour, and tan/dark blue is a great combination. The interior is lovely and those roof details are perfect. And, most importantly, in my opinion: It would fit perfectly with the official sets. Well done!

Even though I've seen the Fairplay up close I still get awestruck every time I see pictures. You really are the shipmaster!

I know the feeling. Congratulations - the result is really nice! Hopefully it won't be your last :)

This is stunning! The whole thing is so beautifully detailed, inside and out - in fact, my only niggle is that it might just be too detailed, it'd stick out if put next to the official sets. Still, I'd have no problems putting this on my shelf with the others. Well done - this is a very strong contender!
-
You're right! I didn't realise that until now. Oh lovely. Now I think that one's too tall as well :D
-
Not too keen on the car - but man, that building is gorgeous, inside and out. The snow on the roof is perfect, much better than anything LEGO has done in the Winter Village series yet; the colour choices are very good and, not least, the interior is wonderful. Very well done.

While I think the truck is a bit too tall (the hood/bonnet is taller than the minifig) the design is brilliant. My favourite part of this, though, is the interior of the store. There are so many nice details there, especially the shelves behind the counter and the rack with the clip plates hanging from it. Well done - one of the best entries thus far!

Yeah - let me just repeat my praise from Flickr: There's so much to like here. The texture of the rocks, the greenery, the tiles you've used to illustrate brickwork on the lower part of the lighthouse, and the water effect - it's all wonderful. And obviously, the fact that you've even added a working light is the icing on the cake :)

The others have said it already - the parts usage in this is brilliant! Not just one or two unusual building techniques, but a whole bunch. Very well done - and it looks so good together. The moose is an obvious favourite, I grew up with those beasts walking around the woods just outside the house; but the furniture is what really stands out for me. Great job.

We discussed this on the Norwegian Brikkelauget forum a while back, and somebody suggested Michael Schumacher. But I don't think there was more than one minifigure modelled after him, it was just the same figure in several sets. I suspect, though, that Helena Bonham Carter will be joining the list soon. She's Bellatrix Lestrange in the Harry Potter sets, and plays Red in Lone Ranger - which is bound to be a character that turns up in a set, probably the red-haired woman in the mail coach.

Welcome to Eurobricks! And what a nice way to make an entry. These MOCs are both lovely, with so many great details. I obviously love your colour choices, and the black iron railing and the diagonal bars on the windows above the entrance door on the orange building are superb additions. The brick-built doors are very nice, too, and the architecture looks realistic - as far as I can tell, it could be lifted from any old Dutch town. The second building is also great - again, lovely colour choices. I'd love to see these built for real. Please? :)

Not to hijack this topic, but I've uploaded a few images of my own to my Flickr photostream. They can be found in this set, if you're interested. Better late than never, I figured - there were some amazing creations on display.
-
Ha! Then it might be LEGO's designers who have had a look around the web for inspiration. Although I guess the front end is bound to look a bit similar if you use that technique with the grille tiles. It's nice anyway, whatever the case is!

I'm sure his heart is just where it should be :) I can live with the glitch - I just wanted to know if anybody else had the same problem and if there was a known, simple fix...
-
I like it. It's very similar to the Mack truck from the Cars sets though, so I expect you've stolen a few quick glances at that :)

Never mind. You obviously don't understand what I mean, and I don't understand how you're trying to help.

Thanks for trying to help! You're supposing that I'm using a bookmark, though, and I'm not. The site is, as I said, constantly left open in my Safari browser, as one of several constantly open tabs. I don't close it and open it back up when I want to revisit the site, and I've never bookmarked it.
-
The only problem with that theory is that I never close it. There are a few tabs (TBB, EB, BrickLink) that I keep open in the browser at any time. But if it's been a while since I last looked at a page, it will automatically refresh when I return to it - and then it changes from the full site to the mobile version.
-
Something that annoys me, in Safari on my iPhone, is that even if I manually choose "Full version" on the bottom of the first page, the site always reverts to the mobile version next time I visit. Is there any way I can tell the site (or Safari, if anybody knows) to remember that I want the full version every time?

Maybe you are? The word in the title is "Lego". The word Luke Styer is talking about is "Legos", the plural form that is generally frowned upon by most adult fans of LEGO.
