A uj would solve the jerking forward problem but I think it would cause alot of vibrations at that angle and even lock up. -
Lego Technic 2013 sets & info

Seems to work ok, it's a bit slow even for scale but it's nice to see all functions controlled from the same place. -
Lego Technic Clones
allanp replied to imajor's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Top gears China episode was very enlightening, and enraging, but hardley scratches the surface. It's obvious they copy people who are more talented designers than they are, and the government just sides with them cos it helps their economy. Their government permits far worse stuff than mere copyright infringment which makes me feel really bad for the majority of it's hard working people in their terrible working conditions (no doubt the parts for these knock-offs were made in a place that resembles hell on earth!). The workers get paid next to nothing, their well being and even their lives are or little value to their employers, they are asked expected to give everything and get nothing for it. Their government permits all of this and far far worse I can't even mention here. I love most of it's people, but I hate the country and do not want to support it's economy. To hell with it! -
If I were you I would take lots of pics of it now before it goes into the car, but hold onto them until you finish the whole car.

How flexible are your cars?
allanp replied to Lipko's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I found the unimog, once fully assembled, to be quite stiff for a studless model, but still not as stiff and a studded model. 8070 twists guite alot, 42000 even more so. I don't think it's so much of a noobish mistake, more of a charachteristic of studless constructions. I am now getting my MOCs fairly twist resestant if only to improve the way the suspention works and to keep drive trains running freely. Twists in the chassis can cause quite alot of friction. This used to be the case in the excavator i've started working on, took some tweeking to get it stiff. I've had gearboxes lock up completely when they were twised. -
Happy new year :)

"happy pneu year" I like that! -
According to this topic that's exactly what is suggested being reported. The first post of this topic is whining about people who whine! However the whining that is being whined about is not actually whining, it's constructive critisisms. Not everyone will be 100% happy with what TLG does so some constructive critisisms is really about the best TLG could hope for. Further down we see posts about reporting such people who offer such critisisms despite such critisisms not being against site guidlines. It appears to me at least the the only reason anyone would report such critisisms is because that one person happens to not agree with them. Yours is the first post that mentions anything at all about breaching site guidlines.

New F1 available at Argos

I have the silver champion. This new one is a little smaller in size but in my opinion, due to the cool new parts, it's better. -

Happy new year everyone -
I'm sorry, but isn't this all just a bit childish? Yeah, some people may not like everything TLG does, so what? Is that really enough grounds to report them for fear of upsetting mommy and daddy? There is nothing wrong with constructive critisisms. In fact they can be valuble to TLG because as it says below all my posts, "even the best can be made better". Technic is the best, but to stay ahead it must constantly aim for better. Opinions on how to do that may vary and we post them here for TLG to decide what they think is best, not for people to report those who disagree with them. I really don't get the point of this whole topic, maybe I should report whoever started it

There is no better forum than eurobricks (I don't really see technicBRICKS as a forum, more of a blog). And I really don't see it as whining. What you are doing is whining. What I do is critique! Like a reviewer. I know what I like and what I want. I'm not upset if I don't get what I want, i'm not a child who feels as tho TLG should cater to my needs alone. To think I am would be naive. I simply state that if they want me to part with my money to buy their products then this is what I would like and don't like. That is not whining or being naive or egotisticle. It's simply knowing what I like. What you are doing is whining. You don't like the fact that some people may have a different opinion than you so you start a whole topic whining about it and asking if there is another forum out their where everyone agrees with you. Thankfully there is not as that would be boring.

Lego Technic 2h 2013
allanp replied to sama's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I don't mind if the same subject matter gets repeated over and over again. But if they are gonna do another crane, why not make it so good that leaves no room for a discussion if it is better than the last flagship or not. Granted the last one was awesome but that was 7 years ago, has there not been any improvement since then?- 902 replies

I had some issues, they didn't want to sell it to me either but that's because not all stores have updated their system yet, there have been alot of new toys just released, but I reserved it online before hand and so they updated the system.

Lego Technic 2013 sets & info

Hope it does have a compressor. -
I've just RC'd it for you As you can see the servo fits easily without being too noticeable. Only took a minute to fit that. As for drive just had to replace the v8 with an L motor and brace the gearing a bit to stop the gears slipping..... .....all powered by a V2 receiver..... .....and just because Conchas said there was not yet any pictures of the rear hub in use in the model, here it is. Runs very well.

Lego Technic 2013 sets & info

Looks about the same size as 8109 with the same wheels to me. Perhaps a bit longer due to the extra steering axle. -
No, they are ever so slighly different. Same diameter but one or two mm different width. It's hardly noticeable tho.
