Another view, though some of the minifigs are obscured from the shot. I wanted to include a Bacta tank but not much space to work with. AC

NJ USA and all of them shown in the pic plus opened sets. AC

KimT, Mods, Please lock this thread as the MOC has been completed. Thanks, AC

Here's a pic of the sick bay showing the droids and other happenings. AC

Thanks and it took about a month to build. AC

Five UCS TIE Interceptors at TRU for $25 @. AC

Not that much but here are the sets that my sons used to play with. AC

MISB sets that I own which will not be opened. Sorry for the picture quality and I'm actually thinking about selling them at some point. AC

That's going to be awhile. Just lucky at times to be at the store when they had them (also good to know when they get new shipments). Doesn't bother me at all to use the new shades of colors with the old shades. At times it's a good mix to show weathered/used look than just one shade. The original ships were planned for this dio to be consistent overall except for the custom one behind the MF. AC
-
Thanks and here's the other view that shows the back side (left wing) similar to the newer B-Wing. I'll probably update this ship later and use it on other MOCs. AC
-
Yes and I should have shown one of the pilot pod detached as in the reference pic. AC

Did you at least take notice of this since you pointed it out in the WIP? Started to do that portion in bricks for a flat look like the one on top. But had sagging issues with the middle portion since it had no support and was too heavy. Just had to switch with the plates instead. Good eye as those should have been the same but I ran out of the same pieces for the clear side. AC

Nah, it just took a month to build. That's more like it! Feel free to stealborrow any design aspect from this for your own MOCs. PaB has been good to me (also good to know the staff at the Lego store). I intended to do the scenes one at a time but it was going to be time consuming to set up all the minifigs. So I finally decided to do them all at once and didn't bother changing the fleshies anymore. Be sure to check out the detailed pics to make your time worthwhile. If it gets the FP, so be it but I won't hold my breath for it as only the Admins know and have the authorization to do it. ^Ditto^ about the minifigs. I thought about the tiling for the blast doors but decided not to do it for contrast. AC
-
Getting UCS Yoda's on sale is a good starting pint. The blast doors can manually be opened and closed through the openings on both sides of the front structure. AC

The use of the classic original ships was purely intentional. ^Ditto^ That's exactly what the hangar scene is all about! Is that all you can muster up after the long wait? It's this ship. Have you actually seen the previous MOCs? The original plan for the second level would have had more rooms but it would have covered up the hangar. There's also the sick bay beside the troop quarters. You're correct in that assumption about the ships. This was built as one structure but can be separated into three (front, left hangar, right hangar) if I've had to bring it to a fest or something. Try going around in circles! Only one thumb up? AC

Wait is over, go see the completed work! AC

5th and final preview pic added 09/03/2010, go back to the first post to view it. If I can only fit all of them in the small space (2x3 large baseplates). You really should make your own thread about it. AC

Sold! Paypal would do. Haven't taken any interior pics yet as I was rushing to get it in time for the deadline. Will do in a couple of days. AC
-
Remember that this is still a wip and things are not what they end up to be in the final scene. You're on the right track. Maybe somebody wants to pay up for the expenses to have them together? AC

Always wanted to do a ship in one color and red just happened to look like this! Surprise, surprise! It's been awhile since I've done a ship and the contest was just what I needed to come up with it. The Rouge Cutter was meant to not only navigate space but also watery planets which brings to the design of the thrusters that would rotate/spin for propulsion. You'd need a lot of Imperial credits to snag this one unless you were faster in the draw against Diaspula! Hmmmm, let's see what price point a ship like this would fall into? Really? ^Ditto^ for the thrusters Which one? Don't know about that as I haven't seen all the other entries yet. AC

Rouge Cutter Daispula Bounty lockup As usual, more pics can be viewed by clicking on any pic above. AC

4th pic added 08/29/2010, go back to first post to view it. Finally taking shape and will just have to repeat that hangar several times. Whole size was mentioned in previous responses and would be completed soon. AC

Under pre-flight maintenance checks as it's being refueled and R2 unit lifted by tow arm to its berth. Not really as I've had this built and didn't want to open the other one. ^Ditto^ That structure has to support the second level and I've also gotten tired of the PT after having them done in the last few months. Perhaps next week if all goes according to plan. AC
-
Of course it's Jek Porkins ship. More details delivered as promised! That's an old treadwell droid that I've done years ago. Though it's true that little details are glazed over in the bigger MOCs, I've always made it a point to build them. Next installment in a couple of days... ^Ditto^ That makes sense as you're already halfway there. This is 2x3 (48x48studs large baseplates) with two levels - hangar (bottom) and various rooms (top). Considering a third level but running into stability issues as expected in an MOC of this size. PaB wall is great! Just a week or so to go... AC
