3rd pic added, go back to first post to view it! Highly unlikely! AC

Nope, those blast doors are actually dark gray as I just turned down the lighting. Yes, I will but more to see on the next installment. It better be! AC

2nd pic added, go back to top to view it. AC

What if it's not? Getting warmer... Hold your excitement as it's just about half-way done. Would you rather not know anything about it until it's completed? Dont' have much space to work with to fit all those fighters in but I'm sure you'll be more than satisfied with it. Surprising to see, how so little can generate such buzz. Still brickin it! More to come... As soon as I knew what prize I won, I just had to plan on an MOC to show him off! If the completed work fits your plan, you're more than welcome to use any design/concept you see fit from this. Yes, you'll have to wait like all the rest. Nope, though I'm considering to bring it to a fest if I'm able to attend. AC

Thanks all for your comments! Kinda stands out from the greens and I've used that Boss Nass fig from a previous MOC. Yes, that speeder was from the medium contest entry. Nothing new as I've used it before. You'll just have to wait and see. Yes, the background add more depth to the scene and that's a poster I bought from an art shop. Those are not stems but rather vines and the scene from the movie didn't have much variety of vegetation either. Again that speeder was from the medium contest entry. Amassed the Gungan army from the KB sales way, way back. You're not alone in that sentiment as some had mentioned that before. It only looks that way this year as I was building the merged MOC. That's the original speeder which I didn't mod. AC

KimT, Thanks as I got them today! Captain Antilles Minifig and 20010 Republic Gunship AC

Thanks and as previously mentioned haven't planned yet on the next big one. AC

It would not fit in the workspace that I have plus it's further away from the plaza. So it would not be realistic to have the river run through it. I've actually used some of the buildings from that scene with minor mods. That's why it takes time to build them up (much less to deconstruct) and it helps to have reference materials from the movie handy. Working with this size it would be tempting to take the shortcuts with the details. But the little details are what adds up in the end to make the scene much more... See if you can spot the mods for the various structures from the previous scenes to this merged MOC. AC
-
The new structure is at the back of the statues forming the front part of the palace. Minor mods to the base of the statues from brown to tan for a better color coordinated scheme and added the planters on both sides of the statues. These I assume you've noticed and the arch actually stayed as it is. I'll be on break from larger MOCs as I haven't planned yet which one I'm going to do next. You're right about the size and scale as it is so easy to get lost when doing them bigger. Always have a roll of paper towel then if you're going through the rest of the pics. AC

Yes, this is the time for the merged MOC. There are also new additions from the previous MOCs which should be easy to spot. In the initial build of the smaller MOCs, the seamless integration with the merged MOC was always part of the equation. Albeit there were a few changes done to some parts which were necessary and all the work/time/effort was worth it! That's the whole idea to this that you'll be able to tell which scene from what movie it came from. You've probably been following my other builds before. Even though each smaller MOC was built with the intent of merging, it's not always a sure thing that everything would be cohesive together. Judging from the responses, I'd say it works! I need a much needed break after this so don't expect any huge MOCs for sometime. AC

Though it has similar shape/design with the sandcrawler it was actually based on the Raptor as mentioned previously. Having it demonstrate the capabilities of deploying troops was the main purpose for the whole scene. Thanks! AC

The Raptor was actually part of the Imperial navy based from the descriptions though I didn't particularly like the swing-wing feature which I decided to leave out. And pay no attenttion to that user like I do. It could have been bigger as the Raptor has three loading ramps on the sides. Let's keep it that way and next week/month a new MOC will be posted. AC
-
The design was loosely based on the INCOM Y-4 Raptor Transport without the swing wings. Yes, it does and makes it more effective for rapid troop deployment. Five years old and still kickin'! This was built before the sandcrawler showed up. There's a rack for the speederbikes that accomodates 12 and fits 3 AT-STs though I only put in 2. Forgot how many troopers got in but there's at least 2 dozen maybe 3. Hardest part to deal with were to make the landing ramps work. Lots of time used up in rebuilding the interior after the exterior was stable enough. There's always one in the group! AC

Click the pic or you'll miss out out on the details... Don't ask how many stormtroopers there are as I didn't keep coount. AC
-
It also took me awhile to find them as they've been put away in a storage box. But the effort was well worth it as they fit right in to the whole dio. Nah don't bother, probably just mention next time which detail you like best. AC
-
Yes, they are! You gotta be more specific next time or is it too much to handle? Hey, no quoting from another thread. Always looking to make good use of hard-to-use parts. They're supposed to be from the same species of one of the Jedi council members from TPM. Ditto. Yes and they're used as intake/exhaust for the cooling system. That's correct. AC
-
That's more like it! Only regret that I have at that time was not having a very good camera. Add that as another reason why this will have a brand new spanking updated version! Thanks! AC
-
Thanks, looks like you've clicked on the details as you've covered mostly all that there's to see in it. AC

Click on the pic for more or you'll miss out on the details! If some aspects of this diorama seem familiar, then you're not mistaken. Here's what you get when you combine and AC

The lights are acutally both above and below the floor. Can't do anymore as the only thing that remains is the floor. You'll just have to wait like everybody else for the updated version. You'll have to wait a little bit longer as I intend to build the facility around it and not just the CFC. Say no more as it's been deconstructed. AC
-
You probably haven't seen this or this? Now why would I do that? Just one more to go! AC

Very true, almost forgot about those two species. AC
