  1. I'm curious to see how you get lights o the 60198
  2. So, if I had to make my "ideal" Powered Up" wishlist, it would be the following: Hub has 4 ports Ability to reverse polarity on a port (two motors for one hub for instance) hub not shutting down when out of range of controller Customizable software for controller Programmable functions that use sensors (Automatically slow train when coming on a curve) Ability to control more than one hub at a time (multi engine trains. I think you can do this already?) an adapter for PF components Regular motors (not just train motors) letting you adjust speed, as opposed to just on/off LEDs that let you change color Really bright LED
  3. They could be higher quality LED? I'll know in a few days I ordered some
  4. @SavaTheAggie is the one user who comes to mind as far as inspiration goes.
  5. Well, i've purchased both PuP trains. Not entirely interested in the designs, but I feel I more or less had to buy them for Lego to continue supporting the line.
  6. I got the new passenger train. Something looks off about it to me, but the pup works well
  7. I wish I had a second motor to play with
  8. I have not. I haven't had lego take this long for a response before either; I have a confirmation that I submitted something on 8/4/2018, but I haven't received any more correspondence.
  9. Also the old ones seem to be slightly stronger
  10. I have a few double crossovers, i should consider selling them online
  11. They have an almost identical form factor, so the new bufffers should work fine
  12. I'm learning! And no better way to learn than to completely submerse yourself!
  13. One thing I'm heavily considering is using aftermarket LEDs to light up my trains as opposed to using official lego options.
  14. I'm impressed that holds the train so well
  15. I currently live in the US, but am strongly considering relocating to Berlin. Lego has always been one of my largest hobbies and passions since I was a child. I'm wondering, are there any good clubs to join there?
  16. I had to put my modular buildings on higher shelves because the moment my 1 year old son realized he could reach them, he suddenly wanted to play "Godzilla"
  17. How did you attach the track to the wall?
  18. I went ahead and emailed them asking lf I can purchase a second engine
  19. Damn I love lego. How much are they charging you for it?
  20. If you ever want some help with photo realistic renders, I have a very beefy gaming rig that can probably handle it
  21. I wonder how hard it would be to add power functions?
  22. This is one of those sets where you buy two of them to build what you actually want
  23. What did he make the boiler out of? I've seen better pictures of this model here: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=432359 and it almost looks like the boiler is just a roll of red plastic or something
  24. I admit I did too heavy of coats, which caused issues. I did a little googling, and this thread claims to have a good paint match for red. http://board.ttvchannel.com/t/paints-for-lego-pieces/25490/25
  25. The dying is process is pretty simple. You just get the dye (comes in a spray can like spray paint), shake it like crazy, and do a really light coat. Then you wait 30 minutes, do another coat. Repeat until you've done like 5 coats. Then after 24 hours, the stuff is good to use. I likely did the coats too heavy when I did it. The vinyl dye has acetone in it, to actually color the plastic, as opposed to paint it. The dyed parts is closer to lego red than the ausini parts i think. I've run the wheels for a few hours, and the color hasn't come off. If you paint magnet buffers like I did, make sure to move the magnet around after every coat, or else it will stick. I used This specifically.
