Gilbert Goat built his windmill on a large rock floating in the sky, so that he could catch more of the wind. He uses a balloon to travel up and down to the village when he needs to. I always wanted to try buiding a floating rock, and it was when I acquired a bunch of trans clear technic beams that I had the idea of trying to use them as water. The rock is quite large and heavy, and both times I've displayed this, everyone comments that they think it's going to fall over. During building it almost fell over several times as I figured out how to make it stable, but it's quite well anchered now, even though it tends to lean to one side, and changes what side it leans to when I put on or take off the windmill :P It's also funny how parents are terrified to let their kids touch it, unlike anything else I've ever displayed... The funny thing is you can actually push it a bit, and it will wobble a bit back and forth, but not fall over And a horizontal vertical () video of the windmill spinning: Sorry

I must have missed you posting this last month (I'll blame it on BW building spree...) I love how you did the glass dome, very deserved second place! (And yey, it fits Fabuland figs! )

Excalibur TNG: Mafia School Conclusion
Cecilie replied to Bob's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Actually, that kind of role would be very overpowered. Vigilantes are supposed to have to fumble a bit in the dark, and hopefully get in touch with the real investigator. The fact that they kill town is also part of the balance of the game.- 47 replies

Ice planet - how do I create fake snow and ice?
Cecilie replied to absolutelylez's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
I haven't tried it, as I prefer building with actual Lego bricks , but for the encasing in ice, you could try with gelatin. Btw, that was one of my favourite pictures from the LEGO catalogues as a child- 4 replies

I'm not sure what you mean by deeplinking a collection, but I'm assuming this is the link to the collection you're talking about? https://www.flickr.com/photos/66820554@N02/collections/72157644406997928/

Thanks. I think you've done great work creating an illusion of depth on your islands. I thought they were much bigger at first, and was puzzled at how they held up like they did, given how much trouble I had with it!
-
That is most impressive. I've tried something similar, but I used trans clear technic beams for the waterfall. I think your waterfalls look better than mine though, but I suspect your floating islands are smaller and lighter . Awesome work! The whole dio looks epic

Flickr used to be great. And I still think Flickr's current uploader is pretty awesome. However the current layout for browsing and viewing images is . I have switched my flickr over to french because only the english version has been switched to the new layout, and the previous one, although still worse than old flickr, is still somewhat useable.

Thanks everyone Well, besides my Faburocket, no, I haven't. They're from this Fabuland set, but printed out on sticker paper from the BL scan.
