Thanks guys Sure, let's say that I tried with a jumper for a blow hole, but I didn't like the look. The blow hole shouldn't stick out like a stud does, so I chose to just leave it out for a more clean look.

So, it's a battle every day for extra promotions here now?
-
Well, you're not getting it anyway, I was just curious, since you seemed so eager to get it

Awesome, thanks!

Yes please! And you call me a hoarder!

Fabuland Questions From The Younger Generation
Cecilie replied to Actor Builder's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Fabuland heads are absolutely removable, but they are not intended to be removed, so do so with care. I have swapped around some heads on my own figs, it's not very hard. The arms can also be removed and replaced with regular minifig arms if you want to give them arms with rotatable hands . Check out my Fabuland avatar for example, it's not a standard torso/head combination, and the arms are minifig arms. Legs can also be swapped out by pushing out the pin, but that is more difficult, as those can be stuck really tight in there. -
Go watch this Simpsons episode before complaining http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Squirt_and_the_Whale And I'm no expert in whale anatomy But thank you, I'm quite happy with the shaping of it Thank you Thanks! Eduard has posted a series of photos of them all put together here:

Asbjørn and I are arriving at Heathrow at 22:30. If someone can pick us up at the airport that would be awesome. If not, does anyone know how expensive it is to take a cab? Or if there is some usable public transportation? We're staying at the Oakley Court Hotel. Event shirts, totally!! -
Last weekend was my Norwegian LUG's annual event, På Kloss Hold. This year we held a contest where we each built a 16x16 section of a beach (within some standard parameters). I chose to build a (tiny) stranded whale for my beach. Here's the result! Stranded whale by cecilihf, on Flickr Stranded whale by cecilihf, on Flickr

[MOC] AG systems and Goteki 45 - WipEout HD racers
Cecilie replied to Cecilie's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Thanks guys Yeah, sorry. When I made the Harimau thread, I didn't think it would be this short before I posted the other two. At least I put these two together! -
I built these two about a year ago, but I only now got to photographing them individually, after I did the Harimau racer. They are based on the AG systems and Goteki 45 racers from the WipEout HD game on PS3. Oh wow, this is brilliant. You completely captured that face and the posing is excellent!

Thank you everyone, I appreciate the nice comments

Thanks everyone, glad you like it I have some more Wipeout MOCs planned for the near future too, so stay tuned

It's been almost a year now since I did this. Harimau is the team I've been playing the most in WipEout HD, so it was about time I built that one too. Actually, it's been sitting half-finished on my shelf since November... So it was about time I finished it Harimau - WipEout HD version by cecilihf, on Flickr Harimau - WipEout HD version by cecilihf, on Flickr

Of course the Aussies count! Don't listen to these Americans with their self-centered world view

Well deserved winners, congratulations

This was also one of my builds for the Dual of Pirates over at brickpirate.net, with the dark tan ladder seed piece. I initially just built the 7 Koopalings, but then I also added Bowser Jr. after I lost the duel, and made him the trophy for Fujiia For those who don't know who the Koopalings are (shame on you!) they are the original 7 world-bosses from Super Mario Bros. 3 (for NES). They have since had a long break, before having been revived as bosses in some of the New Super Mario Bros games. Bowser Jr. was originally introduced in Super Mario Sunshine, but has since had much more screen time than the Koopalings. Original artwork: http://www.mariowiki.com/images/thumb/b/b0/Koopalings7.jpg/300px-Koopalings7.jpg Their current design: http://www.mariowiki.com/images/3/33/Koopalings_-_New_Super_Mario_Bros_U.png My original picture of them somewhat mimicked their poses in the picture above: The Koopalings by cecilihf, on Flickr But I have since taken individual pictures of them all. Roy and Morton are quite similarly built, but differently colored. Roy was the one I built first of all of them. Larry and Lemmy are the smallest ones. And yes, Lemmy can actually balance on the ball without any supports. But it is very hard to find the exact spot where he is in balance, and get him to stay there Wendy is the only female Koopaling, and is the most different design compared to the others. Ludwig's hair was the hardest to figure out how to do. Iggy's head is a bit top heavy, so it doesn't stay very well in place . Bowser Jr. has a bigger nose than the others, so I tried to make his face a bit different to emphasize his nose. And finally, a picture of the trophy with Bowser Jr. Bowser Jr. - DoP trophy by cecilihf, on Flickr

Thank you all for the nice comments

Thanks everyone for the nice comments She did indeed! She was very impressed. I think she's the only member of my family who doesn't think I'm crazy for building with LEGO all the time Hehe, yeah

There's a bit too much bright pink in this for my taste (what, a girl who doesn't like pink? ), but what really sells it for me is the architectural details, like the crooked window. The reindeer kitty and snowkitty are the frosting on the cake. You never cease to amaze me with your builds. Good luck in the contest

I really like this, it's cute and aesthetically pleasing, and has a very good use of colors. The curving stairs are a very nice touch. Good luck in the contest
