  1. Why don't the soldiers have on pants?
  2. That is beautiful! Are the blue legs attached, or do they fall off when you move it?
  3. My wife and I have two kids. Our son is three, and our daughter 21 months. I am quickly assimilating both kids. Our son already wakes up at 5:30 every morning to play with his Duplo trains, and our daughter is putting Duplo together too. They are both helping open the Lego advent calendar. Soon we will outnumber and overpower mommy. We will replace her shoe rack with Lego houses and cars. Every flat surface in the house will have some sort of model displayed. Actually, she is already being converted. She builds Duplo houses and grocery stores for the kids to play with then dismantle. :) She is very supportive of my Lego addiction, and only occasionally questions the annual quantity required. :)
  4. Very nice! How was the roof built?
  5. If you think parents rage is bad, just wait until you have a wife. "How much do you think you've spent on Lego this year?" Pretend you can't hear and run!
  6. I took flight lessons years ago. Did you know that men and women have a different percentage of rods and cones in their eyes? Flight instructors train men and women differently on how to scan the sky for other planes! Check out this article on other differences. Women have more connections between the two brain halves! I'm not telling my wife that one. http://www.lifescript.com/life/relationships/marriage/female_perception_vs_male_perception.aspx
  7. Great set for bricks and figs. I bought 4.
  8. Don't you think a genital slope will be a little out of place? Such a vulgar build would prevent showing this where kids will be present. ;) Ok, back on topic. The pine tree is great. The new house is amazing. Love the use of brick bricks on the foundation. The roof made of cheese slopes is gorgeous, and I like the clever use of ice cream for smoke! lol
  9. In German kirche is the word for church. Very similar to kirk. In English Kirk is captain of the Enterprise. At least American English. >:) Very nice little chapel!
  10. Funny all the tree hugging going on. Yes, the trees are nice, but I love the brewer on the second floor filling kegs from the large kettle! I also like the string of lights outside. This is a really nice build, and I would say so even if he wasn't my dad. ;)
  11. I miss the older advent calendars that had brick built ornaments and objects. Trees, angels, reindeer, gifts, etc. I'm a little disappointed this year.
  12. I'd like a Lego LOTR advent calendar where every day I get a different goblin. :)
  13. That is way too awesome to be scary. Scary good, maybe.
  14. I read this for the first time today. I agree with just about everything, with one exception. Take a look at the Fright Knight torsos. They have some of the best torsos ever produced for castel, IMHO. This is my favorite: These are both great: i kind of like the bat helmets for an evil army too... :) Oh, and I like this barding:
  15. Cool idea. I've always wanted enough of those wild west pieces to do something like this. I like the bandits hiding, but if there are only three they are dog meat. :) One suggestion, make the battlement pieces brown, not grey. Looks like rock on wood. :) Would love to see some workers bringing more wood back as if they were still building. Nice work!
  16. Just received an email from GameStop that my Elrond figure has shipped. I placed my order on October 25th. I'm in the US.
  17. Yes! Bring on the wargs!
  18. Love the battle packs! Not a fan of more and more sets that include Gandolph, Frodo, Aragorn... I don't want 20 Frodos. (Especially with the stubby legs). Not a fan of the stubs that don't move.
  19. My pre-order 3 weeks ago was from GameStop in the US. Again, no email telling me I won't get the fig. So, hopefully they recently ran out. Feel bad for everyone else, and I hope there is a future set that includes the fig!
  20. I pre-ordered the Wii version three weeks ago. No email telling me I won't get the Elrond fig, so hopefully they recently ran out.
  21. I second that request! The better the build, the more demanding the audience! ;)
  22. Great post by def on page 3. Read it!
  23. Cool build! Defiant or not. ;)
  24. Wow. I've been a Lego fan since the 70s. (Born in 1974). I was one of the original contributors of rec.toys.lego. Let's see if the youngsters on here can figure out what that is. lol This is the most amazing Lego creation I've ever seen. It is awesome. Like many of the other posters, at first I didn't realize the front page photo was Lego! Great, great work. Thank you for sharing.
  25. Worthy of at least four karats! Seriously cool ldraw. Awesome. Do you have the pieces to build it?
