My first car... and quite simply the greatest car ever made. A design icon and pretty much perfect from day one. This is getting bought! (although I'd kill for it to be in the same blue as mine!!) :)

I've seen this at several stores... Lego store and independents... Lots of them around!

The Falcon is the ultimate UCS minifig scale release. If it is minifig scale then I'd say that might be the perfect place to get that 4-Lom figure.

Those later sets are from some obscure 'other' brands and IQ Blocks... I'd say they were pretty terrible... They also did sets of Black Widow and Wolverine... some terrible designs and awful print. Except for the Scarlet Spider figure Lele did I pretty much steer clear of stuff that isn't SY or DeCool.

As much as a watchtower for JLA would be great I think there's plenty of time for that to happen. I'm of the same thinking of the post above whereby we get a Tumbler with the pod etc and a range of figures would be great. I happen to really like the Tumbler although given the choice I'd prefer the 66 Batmobile following that poster release. What would the chances of more than one Batmobile appearing in a set? It's not often we have a 75th anniversary for a character.

Yeah... the SY Bizarro is pretty good... I got a head from another custom figure that I sold on the repro cards I did. The cape is something that will need replacing... the SY version is too soft.

What's with the gratuitous use of the red Vader helmet at the end of that first commercial?

Has any of our Hungarian friends picked the MTT up yet if it's available in the Budapest store?

The GL is from the first wave of DeCool figures although that was a real battle to get one with a perfect print. I've now got 2 versions of that one... I got one from another seller but I'm not sure which company made it. The Batman is from the seller that has the Spiderwoman figure... I just bought the torso and BrickLinked the rest. Fortunately Superman was just the figure we got in the Lex Luthor Mech set. I'll PM you about the cards shortly.

Absolutely... I agree wholeheartedly. It was more specifically to Hoth... It doesn't matter what Echo Base kits they've done they've all been very open things... the Cantina even for a small set (in terms of the actual building) has the right sense of space. As much as Echo base was quite large it was very well covered and closed in... I don't think we've actually had a wall on any of the Hoth sets!

I've been meaning to order the helmet and wings to do that exact Thor! Looks great!

Picked mine up... just waiting until tomorrow to get some build time and to add the NACM custom arms onto the figs to have those Ghost patches!

Is this all from the one shot of the box showing a 3/4 view of the MTT? Surely we'd need to see it from all sides... See it's scale properly... It's functions... All of these things before condemning it. I think all of the remakes are much sturdier and have a far superior construction even at the 'expense' of some scale.

I've always liked this carrier since the Kenner version back in the day. Is it just me or do the doors not open at the front? There's a couple of other versions of this that I've seen... each one has their merits. Keep up the good work!

The vehicles have never been an issue for me... AT-AT, Snowspeeder, Tauntauns, Wampa... all excellent... it's just that the buildings or dioramas haven't really worked for me.

I don't think the GB set is something people have to worry about with regards to that... there's plenty of them around. I've just picked mine up. The price increases on sets are unavoidable I think... as people have said, anything that has the appeal of Lego coupled with each particular product only being available for a certain amount of time before ebbing discontinued will create a secondary market.... and unfortunately sets are simply going to rise to the value that people are prepared to pay for them. If everyone stopped buying USC Millennium Falcons for £800 or more then the price would drop... eventually. Actually with the rumours of a new version of that the old one might just drop anyway! The Comic Con figures are the thing that is really distorted. People now know that they're available and they'll immediately have a resale value of £100s in a matter of days. Then again... the current Chinese clones of Lego figures may not be to everyone's tastes but having an identical replica of those figures for £2 or so may just make the prices drop as people just won't pay that much anymore as some of the exclusivity has gone. Same as the TC-4 figures from Toys-R-Us... those things flew out with some people picking up as many as they could from a store simply to resell... no huge profits but they at least doubled their money on each figure. It's now happening with the polybag giveaways from newspapers here in the UK... the week after they're hitting eBay with people having 10s of each one. I recently got into a theme that had finished... and then looked at picking up the final two waves of that theme... thankfully after some patience and frugality I was able to get everything but the UCS set for roughly original price... all boxed but for one set. I don't need sets to be sealed as I'll be opening them anyway... I don't even need sets to be complete as BrickLink can rectify that. Thankfully some things have a more balanced financial nature to them... unlike the Falcon's and SDCC exclusives of this world.

So you've got a real one to compare to? Lucky chap! I'm really happy with this one... Don't think I'll spend £150 or so to get a real one based on this being £1! Yeah... but to be honest... for £1 each (or close as dammit) You'd have to order a LOT of them to spend a holiday fund! ;)

My DeCool set arrived today and thankfully the print is pretty much perfect. Phoenix and SDCC Spiderman are bang on anyway. Black Widow is spot on also... Wolverine is almost perfect but a little logo misalignment on the chest (nothing that looks too off anyway). Christo Joker has one of the better alignments I've seen on those so I'm happy with that and the Cap looks spot on too... although Cap and Black Widow I'll probably give away as I have those. I couldn't have asked for a better Phoenix though... I've lucked out on the quality of that one... both sides of the face print are excellent too.

I've just popped in to Smyths Toys and they have all of the SW wave in now... along with other sets people have mentioned here. Not the MTT yet... I'm thinking that might hit the Lego store on June 1st maybe?

I was wondering about the other set... on the poster shown for the AT-AT with the list of figures... Isn't there Ahsoka on that poster? I'm sure I'll be easily corrected on that though. Wherever that MF rumour originated I sincerely hope it bears fruit at some point.
