  1. I'd have probably said that looked more like Dark Flesh / Medium Dark Flesh... but then again I don't think there's a huge range of bricks in that colour!
  2. I'm not sure this needs anything extra! Lovely build... totally original take on the X-Wing and a genuinely lovely thing to look at. Now I want to see Silk Leader's Y-Wing! ;)
  3. Don't rest too easy until the DC Exclusive figure is announced! ;)
  4. You think they'd go for Bats figure with Robin in the little 66 Exclusive, Batman Begins suit in the UCS Tumbler... and ANOTHER Bats figure as a giveaway? I'm thinking more 60s Riddler or Joker. Aside from the eyebrow detail on the cowl and maybe a silver belt buckle on the yellow belt we've kind of already had Adam West Batman. Please be Chris O'Donnell's Robin.
  5. They're just the figures from the Juniors Batcave aren't they? Well that's one bullet dodged. Now just the Exclusive figure to go... That also kind of hints at Rocket being in a retail set somewhere down the line...
  6. I've been tempted to pick that set up just for that very mod. There are a couple of other torsos that are quite usable too.
  7. Well looking at how accurate the graphics were for the front and back of Green Arrow I'm going to guess that they didn't have a Spiderwoman figure as reference. Once I saw Robuko's post with the actual figures I assumed they'd had those figures to start with... Other customisers I know didn't have the same back print... Not that just throwing a guessed back print on there wouldn't be the kind of thing they'd do but it just may not have been on their radar.
  8. I'm sure those will be looked at very soon! As long as they give us a decent Spiderwoman too! I'm surprised neither Decool or Sheng Yuan have looked at the SDCC Batman... I can maybe see Sheng Yuan copying the new figures from the Tumbler though.
  9. Well my Future Foundation set is ordered. It looks like the printing on one side of Reed Richards' head is a little iffy but I'l probably switch it out to match the other one I have. Susan Storm's head will probably get switched too as I'm going to use the one on this figure for a Black Widow custom as it matches the Christo version. Infearno's flame headpiece is a must for Johnny Storm though.
  10. I like the look of that!... I really like that were getting McQuarrie designs on Episode VII and Rebels. It warms my heart that there's something quite organic about those designs dating back to the origins of the series.
  11. Well whatever scale Lucas went for in a particular scene the 10179 Falcon was apparently intended as minifig scale... not just a random scale to make a large set. http://lego.wikia.co...llennium_Falcon Note the official Lego release at the bottom of that page stating the minifig scale design. It's always been the case and has probably been the catalyst for people creating minifig scale sets since... AT-AT, Sandcrawler etc. System scale sets such as the X-Wing and Snowspeeder are close to minifig scale as they are with the UCS X-Wing etc just being nice, detailed, large models.
  12. I love the Ewok Village... its such as great looking set and also looks very nice with a AT-ST milling about next to it and the Endor Imperial Control room. An updated Endor Away Team with Han, Luke & Leia in camouflage would be nice although just updating the head on the Leia in the Endor set is still a pretty good fig and I just added a camouflage trench coat to a spare Han which looks nice so no rush! ;) Out of all of the sets I'm hoping the Slave 1 is a little taster to Bespin getting some attention now... Hoth has been well taken care of in the last couple of years and now at AT-AT and Snowspeeder. We've got a Sandcrawler and Cantina as well as X-Wings, TIEs and a Death Star... we've also had Endor looked after and Tatooine with everything Jabba related all sorted... so it's just Cloud City. Big set would be great along with a Twin-Pod Cloud Car... the pilot from the old Kenner line I had as a kid is still one of the few things I'm really missing adding as a Lego figure. If they pull 4-Lom and Zuckuss out of the bag with the Slave 1 that might just be one of the most exciting things they've done in a while... especially as Zuckuss was in that animated short earlier this year.
  13. I've not had a chance to build mine yet due to space / work / upcoming Wedding. Once I've got some more free time I'll be dismantling the sets on display now and putting those together. By then there'll be a Slave 1 and the UCS Batman Tumbler to add to that!
  14. There have been a few sets with the newer Stormtrooper armour... It's just that with the ISD we now have Leg printing to contend with. At one point I had about 12 of the newer stormtroopers after picking up a couple of the Endor battle pack and a few other things then BLing the rest of them for a MOC. I sold just over half of them for around £5 each on eBay after that as that was roughly the price on BrickLink. I did keep a couple of extra to make updated Han/Luke stormies. I'm sure there'll be a battle pack soon with some in.
  15. I'm not sure if all the new Iron Man figures are repeats / new prints of older suits or if they're new suits. I imagine there's going to be some repetition... if so they I hope the new ones are somehow better... I'm sure they can tweak the designs or alleviate some of the printing issues. Sheng Yuan will be an interesting one as I think to will be the first bricks they've actually created. I've thought for a while that SY do seem to have an eye on doing something original with their stuff rather than just cloning things (although they have done that on occasion). Here's hoping they give us something really interesting. The SY set will apparently be hitting shelves in HK sometime this week if Digger318's information is correct.
  16. I agree in that they won't just re-release 10179... and they shouldn't. It's an iconic set as already stated and I hope any future set wouldn't include the rigging and the dish that are so valuable from the first. I think they can actually improve on those areas... and especially the cockpit being 'glassless'... I hope that's something that's rectified. The last version was so large down to the simple fact that it WAS minifig scale... A new one could be something slightly smaller but with improved detailing and an interior. As well as being in Episode VII we know the Spice Mines of Kessel are in Rebels so there may be need for an appearance for a ship to do the Kessel run? Maybe faster than 12 parsecs? Fingers crossed.
  17. The black suit Captain America is actually Bullseye. Interested to see what the 8 Iron Man suits are in the next wave and really looking forward to the SY Iron Man lab set which should be out very soon!
  18. I wasn't saying that I thought it needed changing!... As I said it wasn't something that I actually noticed in the build as the colours seemed to match Makoban anyway... it was more just explaining lightningtiger's comment... or at least what I thought he meant by it! :)
  19. For me the beauty of the Troop carrier is FOR the stormies to be carried in pouches on the side... just like the old Kenner toy. That's the appeal of the design in the same way that a lot of the things in the show are from McQuarrie's concept sketches.
  20. That's got such a fantastic feel about it and that speeder is great. Really nicely done in such a small space!
  21. I've seen some really bad photos on eBay and received perfect figures. It's odd how little care some people take when promoting sets or taking photos!
  22. I wouldn't worry too much about the boxes. They're nothing special and easily crushed as they're quite large for what they contain. I've always just binned any boxes I've received.
  23. My impression was that the area for printing on the smaller legs is so small that they used the different coloured plastics... Looking at the blank shins of the Star Wars range would seem to echo that so to get so close to the 'foot' area looks like it's a different plastic rather than print. If it is then I just can't see them going to that much expense and trouble for a small run exclusive. I'm not complaining about the figure being released or clutching at straws that it's just a preview... it's just, for me, the complexity of the figure compared to previous con figures points towards it being a preview.
  24. I think it's just that the ship is white, red and grey... similar to a Jedi ship... rather than the darker colours of a Sith ship. Not something I spotted at first though as I was too busy enjoying the build! ;)
  25. If those legs are done the same way as the Simpsons with the 2 colours moulded together then I'd say they were looking at a much larger run than the 200-500 or so for the Con... The fact that there's arm printing as well as the torso print and 2 colours of plastic on the legs are telling me this hasn't just been put together for a short run. No figures to date have had that level of detail put into them and the QC on some of the actual Con figures has been quite iffy with misaligned printing on quite a few that I've seen for sale. I bet they have more waste on regular figure runs through QC than they actually hand out for Con exclusives. Hasn't each of the figures released so far had generic hair pieces etc? No new moulds? Just straightforward print onto the torso / front of legs and two sided faces which Lego do in one run through their pad presses. The new printing on his shoulder pads alone is more work than they've done an any exclusive before so this seems more like the Azog figure which was just a preview of a much larger distribution. Just my twopenneth.
