Luke has his sabre and binoculars. Time to dismantle some older sets to make room for these! Time to dismantle some older sets to make room for these!

I wish I had the time! I think ill try and get a review of the B Wing up at some point. Ill try and photograph the Cantina later if I get time to build... I've built the speeder from bag 1 and I actually dont mind the Luke figure now he's sat in it!

Theed Hangar Battle in the new DK LSW The Visual Dictionary
Robianco replied to ACPin's topic in LEGO Star Wars
As much as I'm not a huge Lego PT fan this MOC is just beautiful... The scaling, detailing, composition, build... everything Just a wonderful piece of Lego construction! -
AT-AT, Cantina, ISD, B-Wing, Sandcrawler with Revan... The store threw in one of the mini build Jedi fighters and an extra May 4th poster in when I bought the summer wave. The Sandcrawler was bought at the beginning of the promotion.

John Lewis closely match Amazon prices... They're normally very similar... The odd set will come but you'll be luck to get anything from this wave anywhere close to 50% for at least a year. Then you'll be 2 waves on! Is it just me or are the amount of exclusives quite high this year? TC-4, Darth Revan, Retro Luke, Emperor Palpatine... Any more? On that note... Toys R Us have some more TC-4 in for £3.99 in various stores. Not available for shipping though.

I only managed 10 mins or of build last night so put together the landspeeder and Luke from the Cantina. The instructions also only show those figures shown on the Hoth Bricks scan... The page shows all the figures from the summer wave. Just space for the calendar figs and the undisclosed set. I'll try and scan the full page shortly to share.

We never get sales that good here in the UK though. While the US are getting the Rancor Pit for $20 now the cheapest we have it is £43. The Sandcrawler will never EVER be £125 from a store and we'll have to be very patient and very lucky to get anything more than 20% off SW stuff... whether that be John Lewis or Tesco which is where the best bargains are usually had. Hobbit and LOTR is a different matter... but not SW unfortunately.

I've actually gone the other way and pick up more sets now... Especially those on sale. Even if I don't get to build them for a while it's nice to have those sets as well as just the minifigures.

Is there a chance it could have a Flash Speeder in the set with an AAT and be more of a Naboo City playset?
-
Judging by the price being retail it's definitely not Hamleys. Don't buy Lego there... I don't now how they work their prices out but a £49.99 set can cost you £62.99 there. Just so you can have a Hamleys bag!

I'm actually hoping it's another PT set to save my wallet. At least give me time to get ready for the Winter wave for any more OT or OT linked Rebels sets!
-
There's actually a bootleg release of the Helicopter set out now from a company called Bozhi. Even the packaging is totally copied from the Lego on with the Super Heroes logo etc... It's one thing they bootleg the figures but to bootleg a whole set with just the Bozhi logo (in a red square) replacing the Lego one is beyond cheeky.

Have I got the numbers confused or does this mean 75057 is a yet undisclosed set?
-
AT-AT was £109.99. ISD was £119.99. Cantina was £69.99. B-Wing was £49.99 (I think). Snowspeeder was £34.99 but I didn't pick that one up. Of all of them I think the Snowspeeder is the worst value wise. With the B-Wing, Cantina and ISD I topped up my points enough to get the AT-AT on them. I've got the figs from the Snowspeeder and it's not different enough from the Hoth Base model to make it a first day purchase. The Yoda Chronicles set is a must for the 2 figures that SHOULD have been in Cantina and Sandcrawler but I'll wait for those to get reduced at a retailer... Probably John Lewis or Tesco!
-
Well my points finally had a use and I'm now fully loaded up with the OT side of the summer wave. I'll wait and see if I can get the Yoda Chronicles ship on sale at some point!
-
Just spoke to Lego Store in Liverpool and they have summer wave Star Wars in today. Looks like I'll be getting in my car in about 10 minutes!

Malak would be a fantastic surprise. Revan came out of the blue so why not? That shape definitely gives the impression of something hooded though.

Bootleg Super Heroes minifigs - worth it or not?
Robianco replied to KingPixels's topic in Community
I actually picked up a set of the Sheng Yuan really cheap recently with Wonderwoman, Deadpool, a few others and a clone of Christo's Flash.... all figures I had original Lego versions of. Sheng Yuan figures have rounded torsos like Lego and also have the same leg connections to the body making it closer still. The Aquaman is almost identical... its VERY close to the official version. Putting the real one next to it highlighted the very small differences but it really wasn't much... and that's a side by side comparison. Catwoman is very close but her shading is blue rather than purple... other that that it's very well done... only a single sided head though. Joker was also very good... the whites and colours of his torso are actually brighter on the bootleg over the original... print was very crisp though... very good quality. Then there's the Flash figure. Except for him only having shallow yellow print on the front of the legs rather than full boots it's a VERY good copy of Christo's game version of Flash. I've bought lots of figures from Christo but £70 or so for one Flash figure always seemed a lot. This version cost me £1.50. I might even mask off and spray a pair of red legs to give a bigger boot area. DeCool use a lot more silver inks etc in their figures but the printing can be a bit hit and miss... Sheng Yuan have really nailed their printing.. and are better with their moulds... especially now they replicate Lego legs rather than the tapered feet of the older versions. That said... I'm really looking forward to the next wave of DeCool in giving us the Christo DK Joker and the Comic Con Spiderman and Phoenix figures. Who knows what Sheng Yuan are planning next but... and I hate to say it... if they are as good in their QC as they have been and the figures are interesting these are a very viable expansion to the minifigure range. Deadpool was as good as the Aquaman figure... very good printing and colours that were only noticeably different when side by side to an original version. -
Hi Thomas.. Welcome! And your English is VERY good!

Bootleg Super Heroes minifigs - worth it or not?
Robianco replied to KingPixels's topic in Community
The site you posted is Christo's. He produces the best customs I've seen or bought and can produce ABS moulds to take things up a level. I know... I own about 20 or so of his. Some of the other minifigs customisers have good designs... Some don't. Some have good printing... Some don't. While the fantastic Four Figures appear to be copies of another design the printing is close to Lego quality on the ones I received. I've changed the heads to official ones and now they look superb. I'll be very interested to see how the new Joker copy of Christo's Dark Knight version compares to his. That's a $60 difference in one figure. -
LEGO Frozen anyone? (Expand the Disney Princess line)
Robianco replied to smittyfan's topic in LEGO Licensed
The biggest problem you have is that neither of the Princesses in Frozen are officially part of the Disney Princess roster. Until that happens there won't be any frozen sets... No matter how well made they are. There's still Tiani, Pocahontas, Aurora, Snow White, Mulan, Jasmine and Belle that haven't had sets yet... Never mind Anna and Elsa. -
Bootleg Super Heroes minifigs - worth it or not?

Phoenix is in the next DeCool set along with the 2013 Comic Con Spiderman, a clone of Christo's Dark Knight Joker, a clone of the new Hydra Tank Captain America, a clone of Black Widow and a new black and yellow Wolverine. -
It also reminded me of the original poster for Revenge of the Jedi. http://spinoff.comicbookresources.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/star-wars-revenge-of-the-jedi-poster.jpg As pointed out though the colouration of everything including the sabre blades says Freezing Chamber.

Ghostbusters 30th Anniversary CUUSOO set Discussion
Robianco replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in LEGO Licensed
The VIP May release is the carousel thing so that's the early June general release. A Lego employee told me last week that Ecto-1 wasn't due until later in the summer. -
Went for the Sandcrawler. Just need to be very nice to the missus before getting box out of the boot of the car. I think she'll notice the finished set once it was displayed.
