It's always been one of my favourite sets. I'm normally quite specific to certain themes but the minute I saw the HH I knew I'd get it at some point. I now have Ghostbusters getting ready to enter it!

Which figure? I normally get them from eBay but the last set I ordered from Aliexpress. I don't search for Sheng Yuan or SY... I normally search for a figure then put 'blocks' after it in the search... That normally shows things up. I found the new SY set searching for 'Falcon Blocks'.

These are from SY so you shouldn't have to worry about the shoulders. Their colours are normally pretty good too so I'm hoping it's just the photo. When one arrive I can compare to official red.

Not my images yet but from an eBay link. This is just for the Black Widow and the new Iron Man design as requested. Interestingly it looks like the Hulk bigfig has a moveable head! Nick Fury's beard is brown and therefore not as prominent. Falcon and Thor look like straight clones. Cap has a flesh coloured head under the skull cap helmet. I'm not connived by the Hawkeye design... still room for improvement there. Is that the first Iron Man design we've had in a straight red colour rather than the dark red?

I'd say Sheng Yuan actually produce the better figures. Their moulds are almost identical to Lego and their plastic is pretty good. On top of that, their printing and QC are, on the whole, excellent. Both companies are producing some interesting figs but I'd normally go for SY now they've got their leg moulds sorted.

They look good... I just had confirmation that mine have been shipped so looking forward to those arriving. One thing I noticed from some of the larger images of the SY Avengers Assemble set is that Nick Fury seems to have a ginger beard. Whoops. Fortunately I've got a spare Nick Fury head so that will be getting used. Iron Man is definitely a new design so hopefully they've done well with that one. I can't tell properly but it looks like there's a flesh head on Cap underneath the blue moulded skull cap so we'll see what's happening there but they do seem to have printed the wings at the side of the skull cap. Now THAT could be the best thing in the whole set. Hawkeye needs to have his black slick back hair changed to the lighter version on the regular one and Black Widow needs a new head and red hair piece. Falcon look like he might be just a clone but It'll be interesting to compare that with the Decool one coming out. Those silenced Uzis look quite nice though. Actually... Looking at some of the previous promo photos for SY figures the images don't actually match the actual product (in that the actual product don't have some of the iffy features on the promo photos) So we'll just wait and see.

SY Avengers set has now been ordered. I'll post pics etc when they arrive. Really hoping the Black Widow is a good design and print. Looks like the Iron Man is a new design also.

Digger318 has posted that the store he get his figures from is expecting the Decool set with Punisher etc along with The SY Avengers comic set next week. Should see them hitting Ali about the same time and eBay shortly after.

Prices are already coming down for them then!... Still more than it would have cost you from me! ;)

Printing problems happen occasionally... Unfortunately it's something we'll have to love with... I just got 2 sets of the Winter Soldier Cap from SY... Everything was great but one if the dark blue helmet caps had the 'A' over the left eye and the side of the head while another had 2 right legs in the set instead of one of each. The fact that they were around 60p each took any annoyance out of the equation. I was pretty lucky with my Decool set... The Phoenix and Spidey were perfect. I did find a seller that was selling them individually for around £2 each but when you can get a set of 6 for around £4-£5 you may as well pick that up!

I just ordered a few of the Thing sets... several of each colour pants... I'll PM you.

That headpiece is also going to cost you quite a bit if you don't want to paint one.

I see the Thing figures are hitting eBay but at a high price. Might be tempted to do a bulk order through Ali and sell some on eBay to help bring the prices down. Things ordered... Got a deal on a few of each set. If anyone in the UK is looking for these less than the £7 each they're selling on eBay then just let me know! ;) I think if I was the person that ordered the hand painted version on eBay for £50 less than a month ago I'd be a little annoyed at these coming out... not to mention the person who originally designed the Thing bigfig... are they an EBer?

Well that pretty much answers that question!

I think there's the potential for a couple of interesting figures there from SY. I've never been a huge fan of the official Black Widow figure... her torso and leg design was a bit too much 'Agents' rather than the simple black costume she had so depending on how SY's designers handle that it would be good (looks like we'll have to replace the face and hair anyway). Hawkeye in the purple might be OK as well as the revised version of Nick Fury. The Cap with the hood is just what I've done with the Winter Soldier set they put out. I rearranged some of the torsos with legs and heads from other figures in that range and made some much better figures... The rest of them I've given away. I'd like to se if thats a new Iron Man design rather than a rehash of the first one. It's also the first bigfig that SY have done so interested to compare that to the real one and the DeCool one. Thing with the blue pants looks great. Not sure about the other pant options though... Does he ever appear with white or red pants? That Bigfig with the modified DeCool FF figures will pretty much complete that set and I don't see Lego putting out an official FF set anytime soon. Someone has Thing on Aliexpress already but they don't accept Paypal so I'll wait.

I don't think it's a surprise that the Ithorian and Protocol Droid are in a set while being perfect for 2 other current sets.

Oh. My. God. How the hell did the Empire ever lose when they had Lego models like this in their arsenal! Quite simply the best Lego creation I have ever seen.

I've pulled the pins out of several keychains with no problem... get a good grip with a Leatherman (or similar pliers) and just pull like mad. They've all come out pretty easily to be honest. The only thing that can happen is capes can get a little damaged in the effort if you're not careful. Hulk was very easy to go then just replaced the hair with the hole in with a new one and hey presto it's done!

The back of the legs (and the smaller 'toes' at the front) was just a feature of early SY figures. They've stopped this now and have exact copies of Lego legs. Just the DeCool outer 'blade' rather than the stubs connectors on the hips to contend with now!
