  1. The Bozhi figures that come with their sets really aren't too bad. The Deadpool and Wolverine I got with the Chopper Showdown were pretty good and Wolverine was in regular Yellow rather than BLO. I'm always interested to see if someone produces a really accurate SDCC Green Arrow (with rounded shoulders) and this one may be good. Some of the other figure choices are odd though.... Odd and obvious.
  2. It's just the new 52 Supes and the head of Winter Soldier that I'm interested in.
  3. Welcome from the other end of the M62!
  4. Ha... I don't think I'll bother with the IQ stuff. I must admit I wouldn't know Ultraman if he bit me on the backside... I suppose it'll be another good test of how DLP are going quality wise.
  5. Thanks for that! Just placed my order for these, The DLP Iron Man, SY Modern Warfare heads and the Decool wave with New 52 Supes. With regards to the Brickiest forum... I don't bother reading things like that anymore. They make me laugh at how pig headed some people are. This thread feels a bit strange to me... not in a bad way... but I get the feeling there's lots of people on the board who don't want to go near it... it's talking about bootleg stuff... so they don't want to touch it.... YET... People go on about wanting a helmet for Thor, A metallic Mjollnir for Thor, A helmet for Captain America, The unfairness of SDCC figures, Characters such as Dr Strange, Fantastic Four and X-Men... and yet.. they're all here.... for pennies... and in great quality. My bootleg Nick Fury is better than my original TLC one... and now we have a Flash wave... with all classic game designs as well as designs from the new TV series by the looks of it... for £6 or so... and I guarantee you the majority of this board wouldn't touch it.
  6. Yeah... The Wheel Bike is something I've seen regularly discounted at different stores across the UK. Possibly with the new wave it's one of those sets that will just be down to store stock if you can find it.
  7. It's not about what Marvel sets we might get. It's about rumours and discussion. That means discussion of those rumours. We used to have to provide a source for any rumours to prove it wasn't just conjecture, but that seems to have gone out of the window. There's a Future Sets thread if people want to post a picture for Civil War and say 'Hey... Do you think we'll get this?' On a forum populated by adults it shouldn't be a difficult concept to follow. The thing is once we get to know all the sets for 2015 and even discussed those sets once released the thread SHOULD die... it will have served it's purpose. At the moment we don't know even know what the UK's SH promo figure will be since we had Winter Soldier during the Hellicarrier launch.. so there are still things to talk about here. I just don't think leaked pictures of characters that may or may not feature in over a year's time are relevant. We didn't get sets for either of the Captain America films to date so there's no guarantee we'll get sets for this one... it's more than likely.. but as yet we've had nothing.
  8. With the greatest of respect... What do spoiler covered images of characters from a film being released in the future have to do with this year's sets?! There's a dedicated thread in Media & Culture for god's sake!
  9. Is the Superman figure Decool are releasing the New 52 version?
  10. I see Digger has reviewed the second Decool military set and they're also digital print... he actually referenced my comment on his older video telling him they were digital. We're now waiting whether the SH figures they do will be back to pad printing or if they're going with digital again. I think they went with digital to get 360° printing done cheaper but I'm expecting them to go back to pad seeing as it'll just be front and back torso print and front leg print rather than full wrap printing as done on these figures. They look rubbish compared to the SY Commando set.
  11. Yeah... I meant to say June but I'd been talking to someone about the SH sets which I think are out in July. Just over 2 weeks to go before the Tydirium and Final Duel anyway!
  12. The new Falcon should be similar in size to 7965 due to the price point. I thought the Final Duel and the Tydirium are out on 1st July?
  13. I personally think that while the focus of upcoming waves will be with Episode VII there's still be plenty of room for OT and PT sets... along with Rebels. From a quick look at Brickset: In 2014 we had 6 Microfighters, 3 Battlepacks, 21 sets, 2 Promo figures and the Advent Calendar. In 2015 we'll have 6 Microfighters, 4 Battlepacks, 24 sets, 2 Promo figures, the Advent Calendar and 6 Constraction figures. I can't see us getting 24 sets dedicated to Episode 7/8 and Rebels next year. Especially as things such as the Falcon, new X-Wing and TIE are probably included in this wave as well as some smaller vehicles and most of the main characters. We may get MOST of the sets dedicated to them... maybe even getting some UCS sets early doors but I can't see them shutting out the PT and OT completely. Definitely not the OT anyway.
  14. The figure looks great and the custom moulded body piece with moveable tail is excellent... the best way I've seen of incorporating a tail into a minifig like this. I've always liked Nightcrawler and the face print is really nice on this... not too menacing and not too happy. My only concern on the figure... and a possible stumbling block from me buying it is the artwork and printing on the legs of the figure... there's a lot of overprint on the red part of the leg print which shows the white and black underneath.... and that's not something I'd want on a figure that costs $50. The artwork should have been modified to give a solid white base for the red print to sit on... I also prefer the more recent muscle torso design over the older version on the Dastan figure for example... but that's less of an issue as it's covered by the red body armour... which looks really nicely done. I hope enough people buy it to allow you to fund your next figure... I'm sure the first figure is the most difficult... once you've sold enough to fund the next figure you can move on and build your reputation and your minifig collection. Good luck!
  15. If you're looking to post a link to an image from Flickr you need to copy the BB Code link from the share image button and you can paste it into your reply window. Is that what you'e looking to do? If it's just a URL link you want to upload then just copy and paste it in. If you paste the BBCode link directly in you'll get the image below with the name of the image and uploader after it... you can just delete those once the image is in. 16. The post office £8 charge is more of a killer than the VAT! I'm sure there are many sellers on BL as well as those on eBay who don't declare earnings from those sites.
  17. I think that note on B&P is more about protecting the exclusivity of figures in sets especially for themes such as Star Wars although on many of the recent waves for both DC and Star Wars you have actually been able to buy the parts for many of the figures including half of the JL figures and most of the recent Rebels sets. I think if we did get a cmf line for DC we'd still be looking at Bats, Supes and a couple of regulars making an appearance alongside some more obscure characters... The Simpsons line is an example of this with all of the main family appearing again. With two cmf waves and two sets there have been four Homer figures released.
  18. I think we'd have to put customisation of bootlegs into this part of the forum. I think any bootleg discussion is frowned upon outside Community.
  19. I think Bionicle and Hero Factory look rubbish. I also think they have stupid names for each of the characters. Mixels also look like an afterthought of a project from leftover pieces.
  20. At 4.56 Two Face is riding the Mech that's chasing one of the Ninjago chaps. I like that Gandalf jumps off the Dalekian Saucer into the vortex while Batman watches on.
  21. Jesus christ. Most Electronic devices do the same thing... for roughly the same price. You buy a top end Samsung it'll do roughly the same as a top end iPhone. You buy a sony MP3 player it'll do roughly the same as an iPod. You buy a Canon camera it'll to the same thing as a Nikon. All for roughly the same price. Top end tablets cost the same as each other. Top end phones cost the same as each other. Top end cameras cost the same as each other. Top end watches cost the same as each other. No one company sells for much cheaper or much more than their rivals as they all want to show some level of value juxtaposed with some level of exclusivity (to differing degrees). Same thing goes for high end computers even. People stated that the new Mac Pro was overpriced... then a PC guy looked at building the same spec computer from retail parts... and it came out slightly more expensive than the Mac Pro. If you work on Macs buy one... if you don't then don't. If people don't like Apple products don't buy them. Same as if you don't like any other brand then don't buy it. But do it for the right reason rather than just brand snobbery. I've never had an iPhone bend... but then again I don't try and shove a large screen, flat, thin, electronic device into slim fitting jeans then complain that simple physics kicks in while you've been sat down and makes it bend. In other news... eating lots of fast food without exercise makes you fat. Apple made an iffy mouse 16 years ago... I should know, the studio I worked for had them on our Macs. Instead of moaning about discomfort we did the groundbreaking thing of buying a different mouse. By the way... the new wireless mouse might be one of the nicest control devices I've ever used. People sue people over the most stupid thing... and most companies will sue other companies to try and protect their products... and then the other company will counter-sue for some arbitrary reason... then they'll all agree somewhere in the middle. Who cares. Buy the phone/camera/hairdryer/extreme sports based recording device you like because it works for you... regardless of who makes it. Not forgetting... we're all on a forum about a plastic brick based construction toy that was cloned from another manufacturer and that simply got bigger and more successful therefore giving them dominant market share... they also had patents that protected their product... something I'm sure they happily exercised over the years.
  22. The interior detail on this is incredible. The amount of greebling and mechanical construction is second to none. That said, I'd like to see this model with a full hull and landing gears to really get the full Falcon effect. Looking at the build this probably wasn't important... It was all down to the interior space, which is a different type of Falcon model. It's just spectacular as it is.

  24. I buy incomplete sets from eBay then complete them through my own bricks or Bricklink. I've had mostly very good experiences in doing this and have got some great sets at a fraction of the cost of MISB. For me, MISB is pointless as a Lego fan... I'm just going to open it... If you're going to keep something MISB you're not interested in the Lego. Just the box's value (and resale value). I've grabbed a couple of incomplete sets of the same thing from different sellers then sourced missing pieces and boxes and ended up selling a complete set with box and instructions as well as a complete set with instructions and no box for more than the total buying cost... Meaning I have a very nice condition set with box and instructions for free. I enjoy the whole thing of getting a set cheap and then building it up to 'complete'... And worst case scenario is it costs just under what the complete set would have cost... Invariably it costs much less. My entire Harry Potter collection has probably cost me just over what a MISB Diagon Alley costs... and I've had the pleasure of building them all (Including Diagon Alley), so I wouldn't change my method of buying for anything. Obviously this is for older, retired sets... I spend enough at the Lego store as it is so buying big from a reseller just doesn't interest me.
  25. Well you just might be in luck there. The canon in two of my sets had pieces missing so there's sending new ones out... and one of them is the Jean Grey set. When it arrives I'll let you know.
