  1. If the new huge Disney castle sells very well, do you guys believe it is possible that we will get a D2C Hogwarts set under the fantastic beasts banner in the future?
  2. It may be a little to early to announce a winner of round 1, but unless something very surprising happens the next animal moulds are going to be a penguin and a type of terrier breed No one guessed terrier, but some other dog breeds. Personally I came close with dachshund, but no cigar Penguin on the other hand got a couple of guesses! Maybe some of you "penguin-guys" knew more than the rest of us But the first one to guess penguin as the next animal mould was Itaria No Shintaku Congratulation as winner of round 1!!! (Will be official when the fig is released )
  3. The hiker looks better than I expected! The bow type comes from the TV series "Arrow" (league of assassins) by the look of it Seems like a decent series overall, but what makes me existed is that this is the second (normal)series in a row with two animals in it In this both are even new moulds Keep those animal moulds coming Lego The penguin looks like a winner, but it will be a expensive colony to make if they do not release it in normal sets I was hoping the next dog mould would be a dachshund, but this West highland white terrier (or similar terrier) looks great
  4. So far I have only found one box in a shop, and that was open, but still had a lot of the bags left.. Got 1 of the scary knight, queen and shark guy Most interested in getting the skunk and the pig, and I got all 3 skunks in the box , but did not manage to get a single pig Hopefully more shops will get them soon so I can get the rest I want
  5. I do not think they have ever used the same animal mould but with different printing in a "normal" and a minidoll theme! I thought this was the case for the cmf chimpanzee and the friends orangutan, but saw I was wrong after seeing a better picture of the orangutan.. The penguin is one of the better minidoll animals to give a "normal" face paint (since they often are rather round naturally in shape), but I agree with you; a new mould would be much better
  6. Maybe a parrot if we are lucky
  7. We already got a dalmatian, so not very likely Three animals?! Penguin, dog and ? I am hoping my Dachshund Lego dream come true
  8. Still 6 to go, so I hope for at least one more animal (with a minifig ) in the line-up How about that sheep/Shepherd fig from Alexandre Boudon
  9. Personally I am a little disappointed in this years city summer wave Since they had played their police and fire cards in the winter wave, we had a very good chance for a ace or three in the summer wave.. Volcano Research is a letdown, airport is not good either (airshow are nice since it is something different) and gas station ok I guess The park is great, but when I first heard the rumours of a park set with 14 minifigs I expected a huge set which a normal set with 14 figs would be.. Turns out we only got 14 minifigs But on the upside I save a lot of money since I only will get the park minifigs
  10. The title on his page is Junior Research Fellow, so probably something he uses for the mass media http://www.zoo.ox.ac.uk/group/oceans/people/TH.html The CMF have no direct link to other Lego themes like city Arctic, so no problem with a Antarctic researcher wearing something similar to the Arctic minifigs or even a eskimo Personally I do not care how the minifig looks as long as we get a new penguin mould
  11. I am a biologist and where I work some people are actually studding penguins But I have never herd the term 'penguinologist' used before, they usually call themselves biologist or researcher (or some title with that in the name e.g. marine biologists, ecological researcher etc).. To be honest, 'penguinologist' sounds like a title someone working in a zoo (without any education who remove penguin droppings most of the day) would invent to sound important when meeting girls in a bar No offence meant
  12. Hoping for a hobo or similar with a pigeon mould As long as I get a pigeon mould I do not care how the minifig who are holding it look
  13. We will get a slightly improvement in the german shepherd dog mould in the city park set Not the most exciting news in the animal mould department, but I think the side printing makes it more realistic
  14. No, they usually run away But you never know with Lego, they might include some trapped animals and or civilians you need to save as a story... I always have my hopes up that they will include animals in new sets! Often I am disappointed they didn't in likely candidates, but sometimes pleasantly surprised when they did in unlikely sets
  15. Both the arctic and deep sea themes have quite a few animals included, so I hope Lego will do the same in the volcano theme
  16. Hope you are right
  17. Do not look like that wave will include sheep and civilians
  18. Maybe a koala turns up if Lego go "down under" Haha, you seem desperate for some new goats, lets hope Lego read your post and do something about it A new colour would be nice, the pig has got 3 different colours now so it is hope
  19. I just saw the catalogue over at Brickset and this must be some kind of record! 3 police stations in the same catalogue The regular, the swamp one and the prisoner island which is one in all but the name! Lego city must be the city in the world with highest crime rate, to justify that police force In addition the fire department are at full force with a new wave of sets Well to look on the bright side, it is impossible for the summer wave not too be more civil based than this wave
  20. I saw Anna & Kristoff’s Sleigh Adventure in toys r us in Norway yesterday, so odd if other countries in Europe do not have them as well! Happy reindeer hunting
  21. You can order in a different country, I have done that several times! The problem is that you need to ship it to the same country you order in, so in your case send it too a German friend/relative. Some years ago the dollar was almost half of its current value, in addition it was impossible to buy exclusive sets in Norway at the time, so I ordered sets to friends studying there or visiting family etc.. In your case I would just take a road trip to the German brand store if it is only one hour drive and try combine it with some other stuff you want to do in the area
  22. This theme reminds me of the Lego movie sets, they mix a couple of themes and end up with very creative sets. The sets are often well built as well, but not my cup of tea, the kids will love them I guess.. From what I have seen so far the only thing I want from the series is the queen! Unless they start realising village raid sets with sheep in, then I will have to reconsider
  23. I always Bricklink new animals while the set they came in is still in sale. You can hope they are released in smaller sets later, but some are only released in one or two sets and then disappears for good. I found out recently that "Bricks and pieces" can have better prices than bricklink on rare elements like the cow! I bought some cows there in august and the price was at least half of the BL one
  24. That is in theory I can not recall a "normal" set with 10 minifigs that are small or even medium sized the last 20 years! The starter sets are just minifigures with some accessories, other sets are usually average or above in size when they have 4 minifigures in them
  25. If animals were released in "battle packs", I for one would start buying them like crazy Lego can give us a common animal like the dog or a shark in a "battle pack" with the minifigs, but the more rare animals like the cow they seem to have a strategy to only release in big expensive sets.. A "battle pack" with only animals would be a wet dream come true , but I do not think it will happen So far most of you believe the sheep would be next in line, but that are a clear indication that it will not be When it comes to animals Lego never do what we expect
