By the look of these sets, one could think that the designers were using drugs when they made them But I guess the hole point is that they shall look like a kid made them from his/hers random pieces, tough a rather talented kid I would say. The sets have a lot of nice pieces and minifigures, so should be great for Moc’ers? I will not buy the sets, but may BL some civilian minifigures.. On the animal front I notice a chicken in a new colour and a new shark mould, in addition to a parrot, a horse, two crocodiles, a frog and a white chicken! Not bad at all

The only complaint I have with this set is that we did not get he promised seagull apparently We can only hope the realise there mistake and do like they did with the admiral daughter’s extra dress in imperial flagship 10210

You are probably right; it would most likely be oversized anyway. Some times the most unlikely theme pop up with new animal moulds (e.g. prince of Persia), so a had a tiny hope as I said for this theme as well I think the eagle is fine, but since there is nothing on this side of middle earth that is close to that size, it is of no use to me. I am mostly a collector so part packs is of no use to me either, but I am glad you liked it and fine some use for the sets

Yes, but as I said was not the new shark body only in the picture?! I think the sets came with a new shark head, but not the new body. Maybe they had too empty the stock of the old mould, before they could release the new. It is a lot of sharks in those sets so it makes sense.

I was watching the new movie trailer earlier and noticed a crazy cat lady there. Hoped she would be in a set with a new cat colour and then this picture pops up I was also hoping for the mermaid from the first trailer, so that is good Overall I do not think this is one of the best series. It has a lot of good pieces, but few complete minifigures I can use

Is that a new shark body Looks like the one that was in a picture of 60013 this year, but the set came with an old shark right?!

I was pleased to see it was available in Norway this year as well It is not so great at last year’s set, but it is a nice addition to the winter line. So I ended up buying the winter village market to get it. Normally I would have waited with buying that set until I was abroad in a “cheaper Lego country”, but then I would have had to buy the free set expensive from brikclink

The tree and other important things “in the middle of the city” could of course be made complete. Like the top of tower of orthanc has four spines not two, even though the rest of the tower is split in two

Good to know that at least some people actually know what the fox really is saying

Sorry if this is mentioned already, but a smart way to make Minas Tirith cheaper is to “split it down the middle”. The set would be half the city, if you want the whole city, then buy a second set and build it mirrored. The two halves look more or less the same and it is a good selling point

Thank you! It wound be a dream come true if they realised a city line with a zoo theme like the ones they have in duplo. However the most likely theme to get a zoo now aside from duplo is of course friends. That theme is popping out new animal moulds at a fast rate, but they are useless in more “realistic” themes. Way to “round” and cute, in addition to the “friendsified” face paint

I know about the other sets you mention off course, but I was under the impression we got a new exclusive released in January each year in connection to a ongoing Lego series or often as a “grand finale” set for a series that was about to “take a brake”. Like the sets I have mentioned in the previous post. This set does not fit in well with the previous years sets, but maybe you are right and I am taking about fruit

One of the better friends animals, but still to cute to use in the city setting I see from the set list that it will be at least a lamb and tiger as well, which is rather frustrating. It is one thing that the duplo series has the whole Noah's Ark, but the friends series are popping out new animal moulds at a fast rate as well. Animals we need in city, castle and pirates, but are way too cute to use in more “realistic” settings. “Close, but no cigar”

Hi! Anders from the land of the fox here I have been following Eurobricks since CC brought me out of the dark ages some years ago, so maybe about time I registered. Since I do not have the time or talent to MOC I mainly collect and build sets. Mostly in to: -town sets like modular buildings and winter village -train sets from metroliner to horizon express -castle and pirates sets with yellow head minifigs I am a biologist, so I also try to get at least two of every animal in minifig scale. Hopefully we will get a lot more moulds in the years to come. Roedeer and dachshund would be my first pick, however not very likely any time soon. Why Lego has not made at least sheep/pigeons for town, reindeer for Christmas/winter village and lion/tiger for action/adventure is beyond me. We will see what the future sets bring us
