Well when it comes to Lego animal moulds, zero to none have as much chance as very likely.. We will have to wait and see what summer 2018 brings ;) Hehe, the lobster is the exception A normal series now have 2 new animals per series, a licensed on the other hand have one if we are very lucky But I am worried the next "normal" series would not follow the pattern, since it is not all than normal

Thanks for the info Interesting that they are pushing the line when it comes to the size of an animal mould included in a CMF! I have very low expectations to licensed CMF series, so nice this one had a animal at least...

I hope and think they are not that stupid and crazy Minidolls have a very narrow niche; young girls (yes I know some AFOL like them as well). Minifigs are more neutral in a way and have a brother range of potential buyers. HP have a huge adult fanbase that Lego probably want to propose to, then minifigs are the way to go

We already got a blue (and yellow) parrot in assembly square A lioness is only a matter of time before we get i am sure, and probably a new head mould for a male lion as well.. Animal news: -It looks like we will get the skunk in a normal set for the first time (60176). -Star wars set 75204 have the old snake, but it could be in a new color if it is not light bluish gray. -a new nexo knight set has some sort of critter shooter (but as far as I can see looks more like robots than live critters) and a polka dot pig

Lego Re-releases - What would you like to see?
Roebuck replied to ElectroDiva's topic in General LEGO Discussion
If they release a elephant in a set it will be a updated mould for sure! I like the old one, but like other animals they have updated; the old one is nice and the new one is great -
Thank you for the info I wonder what the skunk will cost on B&P...
-
So it means we will get it in a set for the first time?! Do you know what kind of set?
-
Lost in translation, that can happen Is it this animal: It is as @makoy say already released in a CMF, but anyway it is interesting that they will have it in the first normal set? I had no luck finding it in a new set on brickshelf..
-
New animal will be a plant?!
-
Maybe a smaller set like 7936 Level Crossing is in the wave

What is that polka dot pig doing there

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

Patients is a virtue -
Well the "park" had only one animal (dog), in the "beach" on the other hand they had increased it to five (dog, parrot, lobster, fish and dolphin). The reason I believe is that Lego did not want to take too big chances with the first set before they see if it is popular, much like the early CMF.. They could easily included e.g. a pigeon, crow, squirrel and a deer in the "park". Now they know they are popular so they will probably include more new moulds (hopefully some of them are animals) in the sets to come. I think the "fun" sets are our best chance for a pigeon at least, looking forward to see the next one in a few months

Any theme that brings new animal moulds to the table is good news for me But as several already have pointed out circus animals are frowned upon by many people these days and without the animals they loose a lot of the attraction. So I do not think it is likely with a hole subtheme, a few CMF or maybe something like "Fun at the circus" could happen in the future Zoo's are more likely, because: A couple of years ago I made a similar tread concerning a zoo theme:

I have only seen the police set prelim and that turned out to have a black bear.. On the other hand the jungle set prelims had the black leopard in the big set and the normal one in the small set, they where swamped in the real sets! Lets hope that happens now also

Lego Re-releases - What would you like to see?
Roebuck replied to ElectroDiva's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Ok, then I would like to see revamps of: 1: 6763-1: Rapid River Village 2. 6276-1: Eldorado Fortress 3. 7414: Elephant Caravan (or other adventures set like 5976: River Expedition, 5986: Amazon Ancient Ruins) 4. 10193-1: Medieval Market Village or 7189-1: Mill Village Raid 5. 7637: Farm (or other farm set like 7684: Pig Farm & Tractor, 6419: Rolling Acres Ranch) In short mostly very good sets with a lot of animal moulds or sets that have the potential to include a lot of animal moulds if they revamps them -
See the new puma mould here: The bear that looked reddishbrown in the prelim turned out to be black, but at least we got one new bear colour

Lego Re-releases - What would you like to see?
Roebuck replied to ElectroDiva's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Personally I don not want re-releases since they take a spot from a new set. What could be interesting is if they make some old classics like pirates, indians and castle with modern pieces and building. That would mean that eg eldorado fortress with 462 bricks would become a set with 2-3000 pieces -
Sounds like someone just lost a lot of money with this release I think it is to stop the Chinese pirates, the scalpers were just collateral damage.. My main concern is that if there is to many re-releases, the old sets will take a place in the shop from a new one, but I think Lego have tried this enough to now that a new set sells better than a re-release. I would be fine with a "re-release" of some old classics like pirates, Indians and castle if they make them with the standard of today's bricks and building technique, but I do not see it happening. It is a reason why we get a new police station every year..

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Roebuck replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
As I and many others expected one of the two biggest set on the list was a architecture set, but had not expected this I do not believe Lego cares about the scalpers and that some sets increase a lot. What they do care about is when a company who must not be named starts steeling their old treasures and make a lot of money So now we see their answer to the pirate scum... 1. Hope this was the one and only architecture set on the list. 2.Come down we will get a new modular, this only shows that they keep the lid on things until they are released. 3.Personally I do not hope they start releasing old modulars, it will take a spot from another new set (in worst case a new modular). -
Brickset has posted some more 2018 pics, including one with a blackbear , beehive and a half-naked guy with paw print on his underwear
-
The last Hogwarts had 1290 pieces if we get a D2C one we can expect to get between 3 and 4 times that piece count, but maybe only twice the size, the rest will go to make more details...
