Well, at the end of Episode 34 something very special happened with the snakes and citizens. So perhaps the Serpentine tribes were faking their "going clean". But after what happens happens everyone is back.

(relatively) Spoiler Free Version: the Titanium Ninja isn't PIXAL. EDIT: you should put some spoilers on your post. Seriously.

A lot of prelims have wrong piece counts. Notable example is NINJAGO's Jungle Trap. Listed as 440 (roughly, forgot the exact number) pieces. I'd advise you look it up, there's no way it possibly has the amount of pieces listed

Guys, the TTV hate train is limited to the YouTube comments, their website is unaffected. Youtube is always filled with haters. ANYWAY I really like the look of these sets, but I hope the final design changes (which it probably will)

Any idea what the Power Bricks are? Every set in Ultra Agents seems to have one. If it's a new version of the light bricks, that's cool. But even the small sets have some, so what could they be?
-
Actually, I've looked over the sets. I doubt we're getting a Keetorange ninja. Many of the Anacondrai are very placeholder-ish. After reviewing the collection of pics again, a lot of them are growing on me. Titanium Dragon still looks off... Probably the wings and forelegs that do it. EDIT: HOLD THE PHONE! They AREN'T placeholders after all... there's some kind of poster/mat as well. It shows a more detailed look at what we should be expecting of the final sets
-
That's not Misako. There's an actual piece for Misako's hair, but it could be her. Just very unlikely. Regarding who the Silver ninja is, it's the Titanium Ninja. Honestly, most of these sets have me thoroughly disappointed. Lava Falls looks brilliant for it's price and function, and Jungle Predators is fantastic. But Cole's flying... whatever that is... and Zane's new dragon's crazy build, and some of the other sets are really offputting. BIONICLE is looking pretty good right now, but I'm going to wait until we see finalized pictures before I buy anything. edit: also, it's another Kai year. whyyyyyyyyy? (and no ninja version of PIXAL)

*wheezy voice* You don't know the power of the dirt snake! /end Vader impression. It probably would be more suicidal than awakening the Devourer. But I'm pretty sure that if the Fangpyre could turn literally anything into a snake either they don't know about it or they're too dumb to use it. They could've just bitten the door to their tomb

Entirely in stares? Wow, Screen Junkies would have a FIELD DAY with that then.

The element names are probably final, actually. Those were actually leaked by retailers recently (and around the time we got the first pics).

The Fangpyre robot was never featured in the sets. That was a statue built by Ed in honor of Jay, and even if you were to compare the two there's a gigantic difference between them. The Fangpyre mech was never seen in the show. Regarding Fangpyre bites, I think it doesn't apply to Elements. The venom is a weird topic in canon, as it can turn inanimate objects into snakes (yet can't turn Jay's armor into a snake, and if a Fangpyre bites another snake the snake in question grows another head). It's a weird topic, but it probably has a lot to do with the size of an object (this was a factor in Episode 3, with the ridiculous amount of snakes piling onto objects) although that doesn't apply to Jay's armor edit: oops, reworded this so it's more clear

UNITY! DUTY!... destiny? I doubt they'll all retain the same mask. All of the things we've seen so far (other than the "mystic mask") have been placeholders released 6 months before the intended launch of Bionicle in 2015. If they do, it won't really affect me. However, I do hope that Tahu's mask doesn't change or at least greatly. I love the new style over the old one, and it would really set this apart from the original Bionicle.

Overborg was a lot different in style to the Spiders and Scorpions from Chima. It was intended to look mechanical, it was a 6-legged chair not an 8-legged arachnid. Bonus points for in the plot it being something other than a very lame fighting suit: Borg was disabled, it was a "legchair"
-
No, modern stuff is going to stay, probably still future-esque. The difference is that we're not going to have another "rebooted" plot, eg, people got too dependent on Tech, they used it for defense, communication, etc. Not in the good sense, as in, they went too far in on all of these things and when disaster struck it made everything overly complicated to sort out. So the sets will keep a semi-future style, but it's going to be toned down a bit.
-
If they're going to do some gigantic plot twist like last time, I hope they do something along the lines of the Kanohi Ignika again: (in case anyone asks, yes, I'm the one who did the wonderful squiggly lines ) I really love how the Mask of Life hinted at Mata Nui's giant robot body.

Yeah, but I think a lot of people would rather be able to listen to the music without going to Vincent's Soundcloud/Youtube channel or pirate it. I would like to point out that the soundtrack features mainly compositions done by Michael Kramer rather than Jay Vincent; such as: Falcon Chase, Roomies with Garmadon, Taking the Bait, Revealing the Green Ninja, Catching the Samurai, A Family Divided (I first thought this to be The Tale of Young Garmadon, but play times are inconsistent by about 2 minutes), Race to Ouroboros, etc. Some of these I'm not certain of, the names have similarities so I've excluded ones I'm not sure of. Either way, even NinjagoWikiTV hadn't uploaded all of these, and they usually get Kramer's compositions uploaded. Sad to see that this is mainly compromised of the first half of Season 2, but hopefully they'll release more volumes of it. If we're lucky, we won't be waiting two and a half years again (three and a half, if you include the Pilots )

The problem with that is, how do skeleton snakes fit in at all? Why build a temple, vehicles etc in (presumably) a jungle? And what brought them back? Pythor asked for a "small favor" from the Overlord (episode 29, Blackout), and his fate remains unknown. I'd be willing to go as far to say that because the past was changed (and the way it was changed remained into the future) that perhaps the Anacondrai may never have even died in the first place, and it's always possible they were hiding in the Labyrinth or used elemental/invisibility (whatever) to stay alive. They might have even been peaceful, but with the return of a command chain became war-like again. At this point in time, anything that happened after Episode 19 is canon. We still lack an explanation for how the Stone Army tomb was opened, and I really want the Hageman brothers to do something to tie up the ridiculously huge (and unnecessary) retcon that occurred in Episode 30. I doubt we'll get a new staff. They would have introduced it a lot earlier if it was the case. Personally I hope we see casual Nya, but given the alleged jungle setting I doubt it.

No, Josh was confirmed to be a descendant of Johnny via the LEGO website. Spyclops is unlikely to be the same Spyclops anyway, and the name will probably change. Like how Infearno was originally read as Inferno. LU is a separate world, I wouldn't try to figure out a "continuity" between every LEGO world. Castle itself had two different versions, and we all know the diehard BIONICLE fans will try to link old with new.

Sorry for the double post, but the Soundtrack has a release date now: http://entertainment.kmart.com/ninjago-masters-of-spinjitzu-o-s-t/030206728781 I found it while browsing Shopping sites in case of an accidental reveal like last year. Found this instead! Releases on September 30th, so not too far away.

I doubt that it's mainly going to focus on the jungle, be it Hiroshi's Labyrinth (best guess, it's the only jungle we know of and not bringing it back is a waste of its brief but open exposition) or some brand new location. I actually saw a fairly unique idea on the LEGO Mb's regarding what the new plot is, but that belongs in the TV show thread. It involves a bit of time travel, but it's all theories and speculation so it doesn't matter until we get more details. I have my own theories regarding time travel, but that's for the TV show thread Looking forward to a Kmart slip-up like last year

You just stated the main point of why BIONICLE was cancelled: the Transformers universe/s were multiple iterations that existed alongside each other. You didn't need to know what happened in the 5 billion different universes, you could pick one and stick with it. Arguably LEGO is the same (except plot has only recently come into play withing the last 15 years, and deep plots even more recently), multiple different universes connected loosely. Some of these universes exist twice, even thrice within the grand scheme. While there is no actual grand scheme such as the Marvel Cinematic Universe, they're all connected regardless. Castle exists within Clutch Powers, the LEGO Movie, its own plot, etc. BIONICLE has a few alternate universes inside itself anyway. Kids want to learn about what they love. If you give kids a cool toyline, and a good plot to go with it too (throw in some collectables, as well) it's a recipe for success. Give it a convoluted story and it's a recipe for disaster. Transformer's plots are disconnected from each other and linked barely, convolution from one franchise doesn't affect the others. It's why BIONICLE's ultimate failure didn't affect Power Miner's success, it's why the (somewhat) failure of Tangled didn't affect the MCU. They're separate instances and universes, they cross over in rare (never in the case of Disney and Marvel, even though Disney owns Marvel) cases and only the fanboys/girls actually remember. EDIT: If BIONICLE were its own toyline you'd be right. But BIONICLE was a single continuous story. But had BIONICLE been its own toy company and made sub-universes, eg; Hero Factory, Ultrabuilds, Soviet Russia-reversal meme where the Masks wear Toa and molten magma surfs on boards on seas of robots, you might be correct. But there's a reason why Transformers G1 doesn't exist anymore, and while it's not just due to lore it's unsurprising to see why Hasbro has only done a reboot rather than a continuation. The source material is too old, too far disconnected from the new variant.

Agreed. Some might argue that this is just the evolution of CCBS, eg like Technic, but really CCBS hasn't changed much since it's conception except for introduction of more System friendly elements. And while IFB as a whole was great, well... it really fell short. Case in point: EVO XL, most of the Second-wave Machines, Stormer's Machine, etc were horrible in their integration with Technic. BREAKOUT hit a sweet spot, but it fell short too with some ridiculous designs: Stormer (fat chest was oversized IMO), Nex, Stringer (trans-blue is cool, but it doesn't work on torsoes), 2nd Scout version of Surge, etc. The problem with CCBS and integration of Technic/System is that at the moment with the Shell system it looks gappy and unrefined because CCBS doesn't cover up everything, most notably in Titan leg design. I think that with the Shells they were counting too much on making it a Hero Factory style that they neglected a lot of opportunities. However, if they're going to go down the route HF did with the new BIONICLE and give back the piston look in late 2015 (improbable) or 2016 (less improbable) a lot of people will be happy. Although from the looks of things, they've changed something about the Titan design. Too blurry to tell, but the legs on Tahu and the other Titan look nearly... solid, so to speak.

Personally, as cool as the CCBS system is I wish they would bring back the old joints. CCBS is a very good system but the problem is that the Shells are incredibly... off, so to speak. They have strange shapes and pointy edges, and while they've done a great job with IFB in bringing back Technic designs it still just doesn't feel right to me. I understand that making new molds for the old joints was costly and the new system allows for so much more versatility in design but they really need to improve the design. A lot.

Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitsu TV Show Thread
Mandate replied to Lance's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
No, they aren't from Zane's perspective. The were film recordings used in The Surge, subsequently cut short to Shower Kai Regardless of whether or not they're meant to represent separate moments, it's odd that Dr Julien is never shown once during the new season. I was rewatching some of the old episodes last night, specifically from the "The Final Battle" plot, and I feel that those 7 episodes were a lot better done than Rebooted. While Rebooted is easily the best season yet, episodes like The Void really brought it down. It wasn't some epic build-up and grand finale, it was more like a TV show were individual plots were present. There's also an insane amount of plot holes if you look closely. As I was saying though, The Void just felt tacked on. The sudden introduction of actual weaponry was silly, and the ending was so disappointing. Whereas Return of the Overlord,- 4,591 replies
