Strange, another prophecy? I sincerely hope the TV show does not take this route, because after Season 3... well, too many prophecies more or less, because if they do this it will effectively mean every single plot NINJAGO ever had had a prophecy behind it, and this year was seemingly going to break that.

Indeed.

Except one CONTAINS the other, not the other way around. A pause button exists, and a video is still an image. They are, at the very least, not, "completely separate," both are a form of imagery, and at the basic level they are both quite literally the exact same thing other than the fact that one is a collection of multiple images. In regards to the thing about Zane, I'm not even sure if I understand what you're even talking about. I'm not sure why I had to say that views of Zane were in the video, what does that even have to do with anything? In your post, you said (and I quote) "And we'll be getting a new Zane!". Your original post had nothing to do with clear imaging, your original post dictates the confines of this argument, which was that you said we would be getting a new variant of Zane, something previously suspected, then confirmed by images of the box, and further confirmed by videos of the set. This has nothing to do with clear imaging, considering your own image wasn't even showing all of the print anyway. But right now you've changed the subject from the fact that you were late on the subject of getting a new Zane to clear imagery and the difference between a video and an image. Back on-topic... The more I look at TBoNC the more I like it. It's no Fire Temple, but it is most definitely more beautiful than the Bounty or the Temple of Light.

I'm sorry, what? "Your not understanding of "X" after went under the radar"? If you're talking about two months ago when I was speculating about Zane's different versions, when we had no information surrounding the TV show or the plot whatsoever, that was speculation. We had nothing to go on. And if that's not what you are referring to, then please, clean up the statement a bit. As it is I have no idea of what you mean by "went under the radar" and why showing a pic has anything to do with it. And I'm pretty sure that "your not" is incorrect grammar anyway. Even if it was my theory, I don't know how that's even relevant right now. We already knew Zane was getting a new outfit, and this isn't even a clear picture anyway. High res, yes, but 2/3 of the texture is blocked by the Techno Blade and the other 3rd doesn't give away much as to the rest of the design. Clear picture of Zane, but not of the printing. By the way, a video is a compilation of fast moving pictures. There is a pause button, they are the same thing. The only difference is one is a collection of pictures, whereas the other is a solitary picture.

No, we had the videos beforehand. You were late.
-
Yeah. You're about 3-4 days late.

No, I doubt a fairy would be involved :P But if you take a look at this year's plot, the grand concept behind it being transference from the digital world to the real world (a common plot-line now, actually) I do agree completely with Aanchir though

Sorry for double-post, but I believe this deserves its own post: I know, late, but no one posted these yet. I know that Lloyd deserves the new outfit given the obvious nature of what will come in the plot (as if it wasn't obvious enough already) but I'm still unsure of why Zane, and none of the other ninja, is getting a new outfit (Nya doesn't count). Wishful thinking has me hoping Zane becomes human by the end of this

No, that's stupid. We know already that Cyrus is not posessed. His chair is, and the machinery on him does put him under the Overlord's control, but this is not the case as the Overlord is "done with pathetic mortal bodies" and can exist outside of possessing technology and/or organic material as long as he gets enough of Lloyd's power.

...dangit LEGO. That really sucks. EDIT: You know what? Screw it. I don't believe a word of that. Not calling you a liar, but I have no reason to believe that LEGO would deliberately try to kill NINJAGO after they brought it back. The sets came out in January, and we're only getting two later this year. We've already gotten clips from the third episode, and I sincerely DOUBT they would drag footage of Wu out when not a single scrap of new footage for Garmadon came out. Yes, I'm serious. Garmadon's character video featured nothing from the Rebooted stuff. Not to mention that CN has already aired Episodes 1 and 2, and it wasn't in the fashion of Chima last year. That being said, if this really is true, and NINJAGO is being delayed, that's more or less made the line dead to me because my interest will shift. Ugh...- 4,591 replies

They won't, Wu won't be returning this year (neither will Garmadon for that matter), only Kai, Jay, Zane, Lloyd and Nya will be featured in sets again this year. They almost never (and have never) printed the rod used as a bamboo staff in a set before, and presumably Wu will be "restored" next year. And if not, well, he'll have a new style anyway so I wouldn't count on it anyway- 4,591 replies

New Action Themes for 2014?

I suggest we lock this thread now, there's an existing thread for ULTRA AGENTS and other than that nothing new is coming out for action themes... -

Woah, glad to see they stuck with the "glowy redy symbols on enemy weapons" thing, but man... Wu looks almost as creepy as Garmalord. I'm wondering why he's at Ed and Edna's Scrap n' Junk, I suppose... wait, mini-plot point just came together. Zane was made of spare parts. Perhaps this is the Overlord's attempt to find more of the same?- 4,591 replies

And what's your point? Some people here missed it, and no one had pointed it out so far. I fail to see how I am "late" on the matter when I'm helping other people see something they missed, myself included. If no one has mentioned it (and I'm being VERY specific about the different videos). Also, when I posted that it was six days old, not seven, and it is currently 9 days old. As I said before, what's your point?

Eh, I wouldn't be surprised if HERO FACTORY did kick the can next year. I think that one of the aspects as to its failure is that there was no "golden bionicle" (as stupid as those sets were) aspect to it. By that I mean that there was no reason to collect most of the sets unless you wanted the parts, or just for the simple pleasure of bragging about owning X set. The lack of a deeper lore base also might have helped, while if you delve into the books the story/s become much deeper, such as the Legion of Darkness, but even comparing the entire HERO FACTORY line to the first year of NINJAGO, it lacks the fundamental aspect of collectability, story, and a "play-gimmick" (though the latter is not required, and is somewhat rare in LEGO sets today), and by "play gimmick", I mean such as the Rock Monsters in Power Miners ability to "eat" crystals, the Keys to Atlantis (in the ATLANTIS sets, obv.) being able to open things in the sets, as well as the "mission objectives" and stars in the AGENTS sets, which fulfilled all three aspects in one go (the objectives, not the stars). While there were the Handcuffs in Breakout, as well as the Brain Attack brains, HERO FACTORY ultimately failed in that regard as a toy that would really make kids want them. However, all of that being said, Invasion from Below could be a real turning point for HF as it incorporates much more Technic building into the builds, has resulted in more solid designs and fulfilled one of the things few Constraction sets achiev: bad guys and good guys in the same set. Admittedly, it fails because of the tiny Kaiju, or the big ones versus the Heroes, but it's not like System sets have a proper answer to that problem as well. Who knows? Maybe IFB will be successful enough to warrant another year for HF. I can only hope so, because while I collect few HF sets it would be a shame to see it go.

By "seperate plots" I meant like Ordeal of Fire, Savage Planet and Mission: Von Nebula (though I'm not sure if the last one really counts) in that they were short, one waved plots that introduced new heros to help flesh out and try new parts in different colors.

Interesting thing I just noticed. Since Breakout, we've had a "hint" of sorts to the next plotline of HF... or there's just been incredibly coincidental things. What I mean is, in Secret Mission #2, it was said that Thresher retired and became a security guard (well, something like that) on a research facility to do with protection from mind control. The next plot for HF? Mind-controlling brains (from outer space ), and at the end of Brain Attack (this one is more likely a coincidence) there was the whole fixing-up-underground thing, which is kinda odd, seeing as we never saw the Heroes fighting in that kind of environment, and as far as I know it was never mentioned in the books (haven't read Brain Attack Secret Mission books, sorry). Probably completely false, but still, just something to note. Can't find any links between Ordeal of Fire to Savage Planet, or Savage Planet to Breakout, so it probably is false. Or we're just getting another bunch of seperate-plots next year (which wouldn't be too bad, actually) seeing as I can't find anything abnormal about IFB so far

Eh, the sets look brilliant, but I can't get behind these. I seriously mean that, the HQ is brilliant but it's way too... "dark", I suppose. And the very fact that it is deliberately meant to unfold as a story device is rather... well, it's worse than slapping a big fat "A" on everything. The protagonists also... What's the deal with the white shirts? I mean, it REALLY detracts from the good guy's color scheme.
-
I'm pretty sure they're going for a more cyberpunk, TRON-ish style than a "super agents of modern day" approach, which, while incredibly fresh and new, really puts me off of it. I'll probably only get the smallest sets, a medium, and if lucky the HQ set.

Hmm, so it looks like my focus for Summer sets will be NINJAGO, HERO FACTORY and the new Ultra Agents line. Another thing, while very off-topic, I honestly hope they take the mini-movies or TV episodes back to whoever was previously doing them. While I love the new 20-minute one, I think we all know it fell short in terms of, well, a lot of things. I also hope next year they go back to the whole "hero vs criminal" plotline. It just featured more depth than Brain Attack or Invasion From Below, and it would probably give them a chance to explain what was going on at the end of Breakout. And if Brain Attack was the result of that, well, enough people have said why it was a terrible conclusion if so. Anyway, back on-topic, these all look amazing. I wish they made more actual mechs, rather than crawlers, but it can't be helped at this stage in development, so I'm happy camper.
