  1. Seriously? Just2good released the Super Champions images before NINJAGO despite NINJAGO having 95 more votes?
  2. Ya, anyone who's seen Episode 34 (YAY FOR ME! :P) knows Zane is, well... *ahem*... Anyway, I'm hoping you're joking about that (images). But considering I have no idea where you live in the US, that COULD mean two minutes EDIT 2: So much for that.
  3. Yup, new character altogether. Unless he's been mentioned in one of Farshtey's books, but those are mainly non-canon anyway. edit: wait, given that this means you've just looked at the pictures, and it's 9 minutes into Tuesday in one part of America, can I assume this means the sets are about to be uploaded?
  4. Oh, don't worry. I have a completely-real insider telling me the new plot will take place in the TTV Continuum, where the Elemental Masters Mesonak, Eljay and Friends must awaken the not-so Great Spirit MARDI GRAS!!! who was put into slumber by the evil Megablockuta.
  5. Maybe at the end of Episode 34 in the US there'll be some kind of teaser for 2015? I know in some other languages after the ending there was some very wordy talk that hasn't been featured in any English version.
  6. Ah, that makes sense!
  7. I didn't say they were as finalized. Mesonak said they were from the same time as the old leaks (one of them, anyway) which wasn't true. That's what I was correcting, these are close to the finalized images than the other prelims were. edit: to clarify, by "one of them" I mean one of the sets of prelims we got.
  8. Reminds me of the start to
  9. No they aren't lol. Tahu features the exact same mask as the new one. I'd draw further comparisons but I'm too lazy. Also, the ones at the bottom are not the finalized version, there's a confidential stamp on all of them, most notable on Gali and LOSS
  10. Ah, thanks for that.
  11. Be grateful. I live in Aus, so either I have to stay up late or come late to the party Edit: btw, he said Tuesday. So I have to wait until Wednesday. EDIT 2: OF COURSE! The three new ninja must be the new characters with elemental powers!
  12. My main problem is just the sets themselves (and some of the masks... and most of the printing. Pohatu's looking good though!). Anyway, time to bring up the background of the rest of the sets LOSS is in some kind of cavernous area, there's a fallen bridge in the background. The Skull mask has the same wavy energy as some of the earlier MOCR renders. All of the masks sit on a podium of some kind, which is interesting. Pohatu's background has cacti in it, and I don't recall ever seeing cacti in Po-Wahi/Koto (koro?). So either we're not in Kansas Mata Nui this time or they're changing the scenery a bit. Not worried either way. There's some kind of structure in the background to the right on Tahu (minor question, in the original series was Tahu able to conjure up waves of lava? Because I only ever recall him doing fire stuffs) Kopaka's background looks sorta like a scene in Frozen Kinda odd how every background for the Masters has some gigantic Citadel monolith.
  13. ...darn. Just... darn. Had high hopes they wouldn't do this to Zane, oh well
  14. Oh, I meant general color on Zane. Blue face? Crud. Either they're REALLY going for what happened or Zane has decided to embrace his roboty-ness. Either way, I don't like the sound of this :P
  15. Red coloring on white... Must be a new character. Did you get a chance to see the skin color (no, I'm not being racist) on the orange ninja? If it was white rather than yellow I know who it'll be. Also, Zane, in the Titanium Dragon set... what color was he?
  16. You're right. Hero Factory ironically got better than this. An example? Scorpio in comparison to LOSS (no pun intended ), actual Titans (with actual legs), etc. Keep in mind I'm limiting this to Savage Planet, but Hero Factory got both better and worse than this in that wave. That's not to imply these sets are bad, just... dwelling in mediocrity. I can see why BIONICLE fans are drooling over them, but they just don't do anything special to me. Which is probably very good, because if you got to know me you'd soon find that I'm a complete idiot
  17. That's the point I was making. It's too generic. I mean, looking at all of the sets there's not a great amount of variation amongst them other than Onua. The gear functions are probably going to be incredibly similar, eliminating further variety. It's a gimmick, nothing more. There is nothing seen here that we have not already seen in the past. It's stagnated, there's nothing actually new here other than new colorations and a new head that in four years time will no longer be used. Let's take a look at CCBS's evolution, shall we? 2011 Ordeal of Fire: The introduction of CCBS, so it's an innvoation in itself. 2011 Savage Planet: Expanding CCBS to show its capabilities, we see animals sets with great variations, new torsos made almost entirely out of bone joints, we see paw pieces, etc. More animalistic nature, and we see two Titans with an overload of Technic, and some lovely stylization with the Shells. 2012 Breakout: Technic spreads to most of the sets, to create a mostly aesthetic year with a great variety of builds. Some repeats, but enough variation between all of them. We see the XT4 torso come into play, we get Stormer XL, a Titan made almost entirely of just CCBS parts in a unique way. Did I mention armor plating? 2013 Brain Attack!: We get a standardized head piece, greater variety of Technic builds and the famed Dragon Bolt! 2014 Invasion From Below: We see Minifig-scale sets, Furno Machine's torso, shoulder plating (Rocka's Stealth machine), we get the cockpit piece, we see the claw piece, etc. So what do we have for 2015? We have... well, we have the new mask/head system, and gearboxes!.. except that they're extensions of the sets, they're not built into the very fabric of CCBS like we've had in the past. Call me a hater, but this is a big downer for me. EDIT: I'm not against uniform builds, or bringing back the high-specialization of the older BIONICLE sets. It's just that this year every set looks the same, there's no real variation between any of them except for Onua. Sure, Kopaka has a different build, but that's limited to his shield. I can agree very much so BIONICLE was a disaster with specialized parts. CCBS just can't seem to give itself enough variety, and there's been a complete lack of anything to make this year's sets stand out from previous years from a design point of view other than the gearboxes. EDIT 2: oops, weird bug made me quote myself lol
  18. No matter how much I try, I cannot bring myself to like these sets. Building a mock-up of Tahu and discovering how freakishly long his legs will be in comparison to his relatively small torso... eh... LEGO's lost me on this one. I don't have high hopes for the plot either. Sadly, I think I have to agree with the people calling this "HERO FACTORY with BIONICLE slapped on top". This is iteration, rather than innovation. The usage of gear functions (which I was excited for) is just Technic stuff put onto the back. So far I can't see any parts potentially meaningful to CCBS as a whole, and most of the masks look more freakish than anything else (The Hau is growing on me, but the prototype was still better). Iteration is seen as fine over in System (less so in City now) because each year they make something new. NINJAGO 2014 and 2015 don't require innovation over an old build because they aren't rehashing the same design over and over (and for similar features, there's already a lot of improvement). Maybe I just got overhyped with the prospect of CCBS moving past its dull formula for a change. But anyway, here's hoping the Protectors are good.
  19. I wasn't talking about that artwork, I was referring to the "Hydro" artwork.
  20. That's no moon(s). That's a space station(s).
  21. Indeed, but it's why a lot of System fans have a big disliking for Constraction. It's too far away from System, the "birth" of LEGO. I meant, take look at Chi Worriz or Tahu. They're streamlined, there's no studs or pin holes (that are very visible) or anything that could generally make you think "these were made by the same company". CCBS only made matters worse with the Shell system leaving everything ridiculously open and gappy, and attempts to solve this generally look unfinished or stupid. Another thing is the high amounts of specialization devoted just to Constraction, mainly during 01-10 but it's still a problem right now. Hero Factory's clean look solved a lot of specialization problems but it's only made things worse in the long run, now everything in Constraction set-wise has to look clean, smooth and shiny, with printing and color being the only way to attempt to break this. That's probably my biggest gripe with all the new BIONICLE sets, they look too clean and refined for my tastes, and then when they add printing in it makes thing look untidy (after buying Chi Worriz for parts yesterday I'm dreading printing on the Super Hero chestpiece)
  22. Pfft? Terrible arm proportions? Everything about CCBS is terrible proportions, from gigantic arms to fat shins (looking at you Kopaka), to overly skinny torsos and stilt-legs, and don't even get me started on how gappy everything looks with the shells.
  23. Can't be Dareth then... I'd say Borg but Borg has black hair... hmm. Who could it be then?
  24. Lewa's a Jungle Chef now, so no. However, Pohau is speed, right? That basically means he can run around really fast to make a tornado. Hmm, I wonder where that idea could have come from? Kinda ironic, NINJAGO used plot points from BIONICLE and now it's in reverse.
  25. Oh? Didn't anyone tell you? He's the ninja of Stone now.
